OK RANDOM THOUGHT HERE GUYS.
None of the dragons in Gift attacked Hiccup, despite just having babies... and it seems a tad implausible they all lived in Berk's village...
Do you think this is because every dragon there is from the nest? If so... he killed the Queen. Does that make HIM their new leader, per say?
(I am medicated and rambling, do not mind me)

That last thought is a very good point... If they ran their nest like a giant beehive and the queen was killed, wouldn't that make Hiccup the new "queen?" Idk

Yeah, I was just thinking theoretically. But savior would probably be more appropriate!

Hey, am I actually the only one who thinks that Hiccup may have some kind of autistic traits/light variant of Asperger syndrome? I mean, he has quite a few traits (clumsiness, high intelligence, sense of justice, bad at telling lies) that may suggesting he has "Geek Syndrome" or something...

Well, if that is true then it would be VERY VERY VERY mild. I know someone with very mild Aspergers and if hiccup had it then he would have less than this person. Who only has a TINY amount.
Also, there are other major symptoms which he doesn't have. Eg. He handles stress well. If he had it then he would get I little more panicky.
Although he foes have 'a short attention span' and seems like he could get very 'passionate and opinionated'.
I think this is just his character though. Lol
Good point. I had never thought of that before. ;D

WEll, don't forget the fact that besides his recently gained girlfriend (Astrid) Hiccup seems to have only one real, close friend: Toothless. Having only one, very close, friend is also typical for Aspergers.

toothless11: Agreed with the last argument or with the assumption that Hiccup may very likely have a mild Asperger's?

Another point: Astrid complains that Hiccup "never is where he should be" (or sth. like that). That could be a hint that Hiccup had a hard time to pick up the social/teamplay cues at least in dragon fighting training. Such a weakness is typical for Aspergers'.

Wouldn't he have a problem with working with other people more because nobody particularly likes him? I mean it usually puts me off of working with other people when they wish I wasn't there at all....
