Well obviously time has passed since there's snow on the ground now....and yet everyone still wears short sleeves XD
Either way, I'm just glad Toothless is finally in something new! I missed him in the boneknapper short.

blackrose108: Probably that's the case. I can't draw anything (unless I want people who look at my drawings to go blind from their horribleness). So I guess I'll trust you. But since Gift (Hatch?) is finished, those scenes may be from Book. Actually, wasn't Toothless fairly in control of his body when he dived into the flames to get Hiccup? And that was without any kind of tail implement at all.

Yeah me too XD. Still I don't get why he seems different to me. Probably because hes having the puppy eyes 24/7 in the trailer andruhr shorts XD. He looked VERY different though when he appeared in the book of dragons part.
@oneill
Ok I saw where you found it from XD.
Oh and btw. If Peter were to ever visit this place, I'm a mod at another forum that's pretty much a clone of this forum. I just found out that I can create a private board there. So yeah we can all move there if he were to come.

Yeah, I suppose it was a controlled/composed fall. And of course, you remember that scene where Toothless decided to go nuts when Astrid went for a spin? DreamWorks producer, Bonnie Arnold, actually pointed that continuity issue out in the audio film commentary.

I noticed that about the scene with Astrid. It's not too bad though. It could be that Hiccup's "positions" are more like gears: he can make flying for Toothless easier or harder in different circumstances, but not necessarily control where he goes.

Upon closer inspection, it seems it's designed to rotate the fin around the circumference of Toothless' tail. So perhaps it's like a "sport handling" upgrade to raise and lower the angle of the tail fin.

That's pretty interesting. I'm glad to know that they pay so much attention to making adjustments to Toothless's tail. And idk why but I'm actually pretty excited to see all the new stunts Hiccup is going to pull now that he's more comfortable riding Toothless, it's sure to be entertaining.
And did anyone notice if Hiccup's "leg" looked modified at all? It looked a tad different on the bottom when Hiccup was petting the dragons. Like the bottom part was more flat, but that might just be my overlooking again.

Like the bottom part was more flat, but that might just be my overlooking again. I've discovered he has multiple attachments. One is specially designed to lock into Toothless' control pedal. That one is flat footed. Another one has a curve to it which is better suited for walking. That was actually the one he was wearing when he bent down to pet the baby nadders.

oneill5491I figured that Hiccup would have a lot of different attachments to hit foot. But it really gets me excited to know that the people are paying attention to that kind of stuff. The mechanics of Toothless tail and Hiccup's foot were something I was looking forward to seeing. But, I wonder if we'll actually see him switch off the legs or if they'll just randomly switch offscreen. I'm betting offscreen because onscreen seems a little gross for a kid's show (even though strangely the candian rating for gift is TV-PG). toothless11Well, I don't get why you're holding back watching the trailer. You might as well, because you've still got a two month wait until anything new comes out. This promo even coming out this early was a rare happening, and I wouldn't expect a sneak peek until early november. So this is really all we've got for the time being.

I even wan to watch the trailer again so badly, no matter how much I try and force myself not to XD. Just wait until a better quality one gets released - hopefully in HD. The one on Amazon is sub-SD unfortunately. Once we can see everything clearly, then we can have all sorts of fun picking it apart.
