But I think Gift is finished. At least I know Hatch was finished, so, by the transitive property of equality, Gift must also be finished. Although I don't know about Book.
And nice job oneill5491. ;D

Because it takes too long to write their full names. The HTTYD writers may come up with good stories, but are not so good at coming up with concise titles. HTTYD is a good example of the "Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain" problem.

toothless11 Thats just what I'm gonna tell myself for right now. But, just to get it out of my system now, I'll do my strange analysis of it.... Simply look at the quality of Hiccup in 0:07, 0:24, and 0:29. And the quality of Astrid in 0:22, 0:58, 1:00, and 1:07. It's so oddly not the same! On the thankful side, though, Toothless seems to be fine in every shot, and the Book of Dragons seems to have very nice animation quality. And it definately matches the 10 second video that was found last month. And I'm lovin the new golden latch thing on Toothless's tail!!!

Golden latch? What so you mean?
And maybe Toothless might seem different to me only because in almost all HTTYD his eyes are slits, whereas here they're all puppy like. And maybe because of the quality, I just can't see most of Tootjless' scales. It's like he has plane black skin.
And I still have a feeling that book of dragons won't be to good :/.

At the beginning of the video, you see that some sort of improvement has been made to the tail fin contraption. I was trying to open this up for discussion on the other forum. I suspect it could be some sort of locking mechanism so Toothless can have some sort of independent control (static control, not dynamic of course). That could be what permits him to sky dive alongside Toothless without having him go into an out of control spin like in the movie.

I'm not sure if I seeing what you saw, blackrose108. Hiccup and Astrid look pretty much the same to me. But that table in the shot with the manual on it is exactly the same as the videos (I think it's one of the Great Hall tables).
That latch certainly has a Hiccup flair to it (or, according to Dean Deblois, a "Hiccup flare")

Yeah, it seems to have some gear and wheel in it now instead of just simply working on pull strings through loops. The way they showed it in the video was pretty deliberate, so the effects of the improvement will undoubtedly be shown (again, I speculate that the improvement helps them pull off that skydive stunt).
My post is on the bottom of page 6 in this thread or about 15 posts back.

Lol thats a nice improvement XD. And I would love to ride a night fury and jump off of him/her like Hiccup did . I'll look for the post right now. And I again watched the trailer, and by the looks of it I really thin book wont be so good. Its just like I guessed. They'll be talkin about the dragons in the background of a lame scene of Te dragon themselves. I'm am really excited for gift, but not book.

toothless11If you go on the amazon.uk page and you look right below the picture of the dvd box you'll two pictures of it and the third picture is actually a video link. IcelandicEelWell, I guess I can say I look at things too hard, but I want to be an animator when I go to college, so the slightest change in animation quality will spark my notice. And I'm willing to bet that Toothless new tail is indeed a "Hiccup Flare" oneill5491That might be true about the tail thing, since in the early storyboard it seemed to deal a lot with Toothless not being able to fly on his own, so it might be that he has some kind of independent control now. And that really is the only way Hiccup could just dive boom off of Toothless I guess falling in a giant pit of fire and loosing his leg made him fearless =/

Lol I'm guessing a few months passed in Berk. Just enough time for Hiccup to design and implement that new thibg to Toothless' tail.
