Oh wait, you actually wrote a fanfic based off of the storyboard script.

Yeah, I remember that the small portion of that storyboard ended with a dilemma of how to celebrate Thor's day which was typically done with anti-dragon flare but had to be changed considering that Dragons were now allies. In the promo video, Stoick is happy that they now have a way to appropriately change their annual tradition by celebrating the hatching of new dragons instead of the death of dragons, hence his line, "We finally have something to celebrate!"
Well I'm sure it was the original name of the project. I know Peter Upson's Linkedin page refers to it as Hatch, but I'm still pretty confident that Gift is the new title. The writers and production crew may still refer to it as Hatch by force of habit.

Oh, I forgot about that...  But, yes, that's exactly what I was thinking the story would go. (Too bad there's no "hidden text" button for this forum.) I don't think Peter Upson's page ever mentioned Hatch. He used Gift all the way. |

He has since revised his profile and now only Gift is mentioned. I already pinged Pete with an inquiry regarding these titles - though I already know what the answer is going to be. |

Well, I'm excited either way. At least we're getting SOMETHING NEW! I was getting so impatient just watching the movie and boneknapper.
And this is really early to start airing a promo for a direct-to-dvd short. I'd think we wouldn't be seeing anything until late october at least! Where did you find that promo Oneill5491?

Lol even I'm confused. Let's just ask Upson if Gift is Hatch. I doubt that would violate his NPA or whatever  . And I just wish I can get the DVDs for free -_- I'll have to ask my sister to by it for my birthday XD. She DID buy me an iTunes card to buy HTTYD last year in my birthday . But I'll Watch the shorts on some website. If I like them then I WILL ask her XD. |

I would still like to know where this was found so early. It's not even on Dreamwork's main youtube page yet, and that's usually the first place to see trailers in advance.
Plus if it was truely "leaked" then that would kind of explain why the animation quality looks a tad inconsistent. Is it just me or do some scenes seem like their finished and others seem like they're still rough? Especially the scene where Fishlegs gets hit with the egg, that looks completely different from the quality of the other shots in the promo.

Lol I hope he does XD. can't he just come here? So we all don't have to tell you to ask him stuff for us... Lol, and you should've seen how I got when I read your post where you posted the trailer. The instant I read "Alright guys here's the trailer!", my heart started pumping extremely hard. I felt like I was gonna faint . It was doing so so hard, that I started trembling in stuff . I was doin stuff o my computer and i started messing up so badly because ofthe trembling . I usually get like that when I find big HTTYD news, or when Im updatin my iPod's firmware XD. @blackrose Maybe that might be why toothless or the animation looks different. Either because of the poor quality, or because they made the trailer while Te shorts were nearly complete. |

Hmm, that's strange that they'd have it for the uk and not america. The American amazon doesn't even have the picture of the dvd box up yet. Psh, this country is so lazy.
And I guess it's really not a leak then, I'm still a tad worried about the inconsistent animation quality, but I suppose I won't make a federal case about it. Anything new is good!
