Mordar looked confused when she asked the question. He didn't understand her anyways, since he couldn't understand people when they spoke. But she seemed to know what she was talking about nonetheless. He was a wild dragon though, so he had no riders, and he was content to remain that way.
He grunted all the same, though.

"I-I uhm...dunno w-what that..." Mouse started to say, then trailed off, flushing red and looking at her bare feet. Oh, why bother? If she couldn't understand him, why would he understand her? Whatever the case, there was no other human in sight, so this one was probably wild. ...That's kinda weird...wild one bein' so calm, she couldn't help think.
She reached forward, poking sharply again. The dragon's skin felt kinda weird; Mouse wasn't used to such a thing. "Don't yo-you ever itch? With th-the s-scales?" she mumbled, almost to herself. Hmmm...if it let her touch it's side, then maybe...Mouse swallowed, standing up on trembling legs and reached up, trying to touch the top of Mordar's head.

Mordar didn't move, even though he was being touched again, since the skin still protected him. Although he still felt decidedly fine, it was having almost a ticklish effect on him. He then walked over to the stream, and started to look for fish.
He hoped to catch some in the stream, spear them with his claws, and eat them. He didn't object if Mouse came over to pet him while he was hunting, though.
It was a sight, seeing this small girl with such a huge beast (in proportion at least, since Night Furies weren't normally giant) and it must truly have been a heartwarming moment.

Hey...where're you goin'? Mouse looked up, a little confused. She was finally doing something brave (for her), not running away, and now the dragon was the one walking away.
Life was strange.
"Hey, come back..." she called softly, rising to her feet and shuffling forward. She didn't even notice that a small smile was appearing on her face as she stood next to Mordar again. "St-staaay?" she asked, almost laughing at how ridiculous this seemed-to her. If only her aunt could see this.

As Mouse was walking up to him, Mordar suddenly saw a fish swimming by in the stream, and in one swipe, impaled it on one of his claws. From there, he took it off and put it in his mouth, chewed on it for a bit, and swallowed.
Then he looked back on Mouse, with some bits of fish on his face.

For all her new-found (and probably temporary) courage, Mouse was still startled, and a bit unnerved, by the raw fish. She didn't know what it was--maybe the tiny hint of blood, but it made Mouse recoil a bit, hands over her nose and mouth. "U-uuugh..." she groaned, taking a strep back. The sight made her shudder a bit, so she closed her eyes, turning her face away slightly.
"Yo-You...you got..." she mumbled, shifting a hand enough to gesture absently at her own face, around the mouth area.

Mordar saw what Mouse was pointing at, and promptly licked his mouth clean. He followed up his food with a drink from the stream again. Mordar then noticed that Mouse was still not wearing shoes, but then again, neither did he.
He continued to look for fish, although not as enthusiastically as before, since his appetite was sated for the time being and he was looking for some snacks for later. Of course, he was sure Mouse didn't mind.

Ah, that was better. Mouse edged away a little bit, however, her nervousness starting to rear its head again. Flopping onto the ground, she sat there with her feet almost in the water again, looking out towards it again. Well, the dragon seemed to be busy, but at least he didn't mind if she was there. Mouse could risk staying a bit longer...
But soon, she grew bored. Absently, almost forgetting where she was and who she was with, Mouse found a small rock nearby, and chucked it out at the water, making a little splash. Satisfied with that, she found a larger one, throwing that too. Mouse smiled as it made an even bigger splash than the last one.

The splashes caught Mordar's attention and he looked around at Mouse again. He then turned around again, and decided to make his own splash for fun. And how did he do it? With fire of course! He spat some fire into the stream, where it made a small explosion and splashed water in a short radius around the blast. He made a small growl that sounded almost like a chuckle, then continued his fishing.
As he sat there, Mordar could have sworn it was getting cooler. Was evening approaching?

"Aah!" Mouse drew her knees to her chest, head down with her arms covering her face . After a few moments, she slowly uncurled, staring wide-eyed out at the water before shifting her attention to Mordar again. Good th-thing I'm not out there... she thought nervously.
Feeling a bit chilly now, Mouse looked up at the sky, noted how it seemed to be darker than before. "Waaah...I g-gotta be home soon!" she cried, suddenly standing up and looking around for her shoes and stockings. Being way out here when it got dark, all alone--except for a dragon, of course, but he was wild...that was an awful idea.

As the cold continued to wash over him, Mordar decided to fly around a bit to warm himself up. As it was darkening, it would soon be impossible to see him, owing to his dark black skin. He wondered if Mouse could even see him at this low height, since it was getting to be night.
Maybe the next day he would see her again, even if she lost sight of him now.

Ah, there they were... Mouse ran to her belongings, slipping her stockings back on and stepping into her boots. She looked up in time to see Mordar flying, just barely spotting him in the growing darkness. Quickly, she lifted a hand to wave at him, though she doubted he'd see that. "Byyyeeee!" she shouted, one hand cupped around her mouth, walking backwards before turning to head home. Hmm...is waving a good gesture to make at a dragon? she wondered, staring at her lowered hand. What if it meant something bad?
I hope it doesn't though. Mouse walked a little faster, hugging herself against the chill. She kind of liked that dragon...But it was wild, so the chances of her seeing him again were pretty slim, she figured.

Gaining height, Mordar saw Mouse's wave, but barely. It was getting very cold now, but of course that didn't bother him. He started to fly off towards some mountains and looked back briefly. He was pretty sure that the girl would return to that same stream, although he wasn't certain about it.
But, just in case, in the morning he would be waiting if she came back. Or when.

She'd gotten home all right, before it was too dark. Mouse had wanted to tell her aunt what had happened, unfortunately the poor woman was a bit tired herself and had asked if it could wait a bit. Tomorrow. Mouse had accepted that, though a bit disappointed.
----
"He's not gonna be there..." Mouse mumbled to herself, walking back to that spot. It was warmer today, so she figured maybe the water would be better for sitting in this time. Maybe swimming (or what Mouse called swimming, anyway), but that seemed doubtful. "Th-that was wild one...nice, but wild. They don't go to the same spot twice..." She had to tell herself these things, so she wouldn't be too disappointed. You met one dragon that didn't scare you too much...Won't meet him again...
Still staring at the ground, Mouse shuffled to the stream again, slipping out of her boots and stockings, and started to wade in.

With a ballistic dive, Mordar swooped toward the stream at high speed. The result was a loud screech as he zoomed toward his destination. He hit the ground, also dropping what he was carrying, which turned out to be part of a dead sheep.
He had eaten some of it and saved the rest as a snack. Seeing the sheep, he quickly stashed it behind him, and for good reason, since he could block its smell with his body.
He looked at Mouse again, as she was sitting in the water.
