I think the sequal will involve Hiccup's mother in some way, like he finds a message from her somewhere and he sets out to find her while the village is being attacked by a creature similar to Green Death from the first movie.

tomowensstuff.blogspot.fr/ tom owens continue to post his agen up characters, in storyboards this time! (no text, and maybe not even the right order). Please renember: We still have no proof that this is the httyd sequel, this can be some pratice he do for his own, with his own idea of how the characters would look like some years later .

Hm... Has anyone tried contacting Tom Owens and asking him?
That can work well if they let themselves be contacted. As to whether "aged" could be real or not... I'm not sure. Studios tend to be very touchy about letting such information out.
I am hoping that they keep them as they were though. I liked them at that age. They say that the TV series is supposed to be the bridge between the original and the sequel, so who knows....
Anyways, I haven't gotten to read most of these posts, but, like many in the early page(s) said, I'm hoping that they keep it in the same spirit as the original. The original was amazing. I want a sequel because I want to see more of that.
Not wanting to risk sounding too crazy too early... but I'm trying to hunt down Dean DeBlois' (or possibly others') contact info in order to send him an e-mail expressing my praise for the original and hoping that they continue in that same spirit.
I own one share of stock in Dreamworks (which I now bear with pride) and by the might of Thor, I plan to use my shareholder's influence to the fullest extent possible!

The only thing that could make this leak-fest more insane is if John Powell accidentally emailed his entire sketches, scoring sessions, etc. to everyone in the observable universe.
