I was eating dinner with my roommates, one of whom works as a teacher's aide, and is very close to one of the girls. Well, today, she had this to share:
'So, Mikaelah brought in her McDonald's toys, and they were all from that dragon movie. And she had a new one today...the main one...the black one, whoever he is? Toothless? Ah, okay. So she was sharing all the others, and another girl wanted to see Toothless, and Mikaelah just held it closer and went "Nooooo! He's miiiine! I don't wanna share him! D8>"' Eventually, roomie said that the little girl let her friend HOLD the Toothless toy for ten minutes before snatching it back. XD She's so cute...
UPDATE: Saw the movie for a third time, first time with a friend today. Well, some four-year-old was in the audience, sitting a little ways in front of us. When the movie started and we saw the dragons attacking, he lifted his arms into the air and went "RAWR!" It was too cute. XD

Alright, I've got one. XD Me and my friend were in the children's fantasy section looking for the HTTYD books, and there was this little boy with his dad sitting at the little table looking at Diary of a Whimpy Kid. So this kid is talking about how popular HTTYD is, and he overhears me yelling at my friend to hurry up and look for the damn books, and he says to his dad, "See, even teenagers are looking for it!" I lol'd. XD Also, it made me feel like a big dork, which I so don't mind, but it embarassed my friend. XD

When I got home from seeing the film, I proceeded to spend about half an hour running up and down my hallway, pretending I was riding a dragon. My sister said this is lulzy enough to be put in this thread because I'm fifteen and "too old for this stuff."

I took my friend to see the movie last night after her sister's wedding reception. Apart from her all but melting every time Toothless cocked his head (she thought he was the cutest thing since her own big fat wannabe dragon cat), at the end when you see Hiccup with his... well, you know.
She leaned over close to me, giggling, and whispered "Hiccup has an automail!"
When geekdoms collide.
Notwithstanding that she'd also had four amaretto sours and two glasses of champagne. Which made this a lot more hilarious in hindsight.

With my sister on the phone today.
Her: "Have you seen Clash of the Titans?" Me: "No, but go see How to Train Your Dragon." Her: "Ew, I don't want to see a Harry Potter rip off." Me: "Where the hell did you hear that? It's not like Harry Potter at all." Her: "Oh, I thought he looks like a baby Hagrid." Me: *laughing* "Who, the brown haired boy?" Her: Yeah! It's like Hagrid took a shit and a kid came out. Me: "...You're strange."

I was at coffee hour at church and drawing my OC. These kids come up to watch me and one goes. "Hey that's from that dragon movie."
I say: Sort of. Its my own character.
She says: Ohh...so it's like a combination of all of them?
I laugh a little and say "Sort of."
It was too cute.

I saw the movie when I was on spring break visting family in colorado, I saw it with my uncle, grandma, and two twin cousins. I sat far away from them because the kids are three and I wanted to see this with no distractions. I got to say at the end one of my little cousins kept hiding because of the big dragon!
Also when the movie was over my uncle said we had to go back to the house to make dinner, I was so sad because I wanted ot watch the credits!
Finally when we got to the theatre lobby my little cousin was falling asleep so I put him on my shoulders and started acting like a dragon for fun.
On a side note my little cousins are 3 so they can't remember long titles. The whole time they called it "Dino Tales", "Dragon Tales" and "Dinos". My uncle loved to bug me about it. Also my uncle and I had a deep talk about the movie on the car ride home. I kept correcting dragon names because he kept saying Nightmare when meaning Toothless or Night Terror.

lol, DragonTales. Epic win, right there. xD
I bought a Zippleback plushie today and impressed two little boys. The pointed at me and said, "WHOA! MIRA, MIRA, MIRA!" I couldn't help but giggle. And this little bitty girl was walking past the plushie display and said, "Daddy, look! Dragons! Can we get some?" When her dad said no, she sighed sadly...but then saw the action figure display and ran off, saying, "LOOK DADDY! MORE DRAGONS!" I just melted. :3
Oh, and I was listening to this guy who had to write a paper about how he would run a ship. Apparently, he used the HTTYD Viking name generator to name himself and ALL of his crew, and his ship was a Viking ship and such...apparently, HTTYD is the campus obsession right now.

CJ: YOU'RE FRIEND IS EPIC.
OK, I went to Wal-Mart with my mom today (she wanted to make up for the... Fiasco of yesterday). She found the fleece blanket and pillow set with Zipplebacks on it. They marked the price wrong at our Wal-Mart, they were 5 bucks. I SQUEELED. She looked at me like I was nuts.
I also bough eight packs of stickers. I every time I got one of the "shiny" stickers" I said "Oooo, shiny!" and the last pack had two of them. One was a Terrible Terror sticker. Cue me saying "SHINY TERROR STICKER YAY!" in a fangirl voice and rubbing it against my cheek like an idiot.
My mom laughed her ass off.

I finally got my mom to see the movie with me and I must say I hated the kids by me, but they were so funny/annoying at points!
1) When Hiccup is doing the "dance" after Toothless draws the lines the kid kept telling his mom to get more popcorn, I almost screamed at him to shut up.
2) The woman next to me kept wiping her eyes, whimpering, sniffling, or giggling and I was happy that a adult was enjoying a movie more than her kids playing next to her.
3) When the scene where they look for Hiccup after the final battle my theater was silent, dead silent, then after they find Toothless the kid in-front of me goes, "Mommy he's dead." I wanted to go "HE IS NOT SHUT UP YOU BRAT!"
4) When they see that Toothless saved Hiccup some guy in the front row starts clapping.
5) When the "Metal foot goes down" the woman next to me covers her eyes and starts to sniffle and choke up.
6) After the movie I go to my mom, "So was it worth it?" (Just so you all know I gave up seeing Kick-Ass to see this movie again!) She says it was OK, now my mom and I never like the same movies so I go "What did you hate?" She is quiet for a while and I ask again, she goes "I...I can't think of any." I scream to her "WE LIKE THE SAME MOVIE!?" We lol'd so hard.
7) When we were talking about our favorite scenes I finally go "Mom, I love that movie but...I hate one thing about it." She asks what was so bad. I finally sighed and said "I will never be able to ride a dragon, EVER!!"
Yeah, this movie makes me depressed for the fact that I will NEVER ride a dragon!

Okay well the only story I got is this:
As soon as the movie ended me and my boyfriend sat and waited for more people to leave before getting up. I was just barely watching to credits, flipping out over Gerald Butler and getting glares from my boyfriend.
When we finally got up and started heading down the steps on the side of the rows I saw one name that caught my eye. David Tennant. I am a Doctor Who fan and so of course I was immediately ecstatic. The entire way out of the theater I was flipping and even went to tell my twin sister. (the one who got me INTO Doctor Who) The thing that bugged me though was that I didn't even catch his voice, until I saw the movie again. XD
Yup so there be my random story.

My friend and I saw it yet again (on my laptop, hehe) and we spent the majority of the movie singing "A Whole New World" or humming along with the soundtrack music. And when I told my friend who plays who, she flipped out. She had absolutely no idea Gerard Butler was in this movie. After she found that out, we burst into singing Phantom of the Opera. Why exactly, I dunno, haha.

Omg, the was this annoying kid in the back row of the theatre who talked all through the beginning of the movie. Etc:
When Hiccup was stepping around Toothless's drawing and he ended up in front of him, the kid was like, "He's right behind you hiccup!" I swear to god I about screamed shut up because he had already commented on the part when he was on the rock. And this was my first venture to see the movie
other than that, no one really got on my nerves.
