They are working on an Ender's Game movie! At least, the rights to the movie have been sold. I really hope they can do a good job on it. That book is just too awesome. They have also sold the rights to the battle room and are trying to make a game of just the battle room. I find that really interesting.

Yeah, I think the rights were bought a billion years ago... ofuck. Want game now.

Dragonlance. PLEEEEEASE O MOVIE-MAKING GODS! *falls down* It's also a very delicate plot and would need superb acting and directing and special effects. It'd be alot of money, but one movie for each /every two-three books (discluding the Lost Chronicles and the non-Weis/Hickman books). Yeeeah, six to twelve movies baby! I love dragonlance I have the excuse for a film of it on DVD. It's alright, but not nearly as good as I would have wanted it. I suppose I shouldn't expect much for a cheap animation.

The Bartimaeus Trilogy. It's an alternate corse in history where the British Empire is still in power and magicians- through the demons they summon- control the government. They just made a prequel too, I believe.

Hm.. let me see.
I have quite a few, so I won't waste them all on one post.
The Children of the Lamp Series by P.B. Kerr. Brilliant works. Great stories and well developed characters and universe.
Pirates! by Celia Rees. It's the story of a British merchant's daughter, whom, after he dies, is sent to live on his sugar plantation in the West Indies and is placed in an arranged marriage to a dark and evil man in order to pay off some of her father's debt. Not bearing to go through with this she escapes, along with her half-sister, a slave on the plantation, to join a ship of pirates, and off on adventure they go.
My one concern is that it's too close to "Pirates of the Carribbean" to make any other pirate movies and not have them considered a knockoff.
Dracula, Dracula the Undead (a sequel written by a Stoker descendent) and Frankenstein. I know these have movies, but I've never seen a particularly great one which was true to the book.

Pendragon and The Maze Runner.
Both are wonderfully dark series that both have so much epic potential.

Gone Away Lake, as well as Return to Gone Away.
Neither quite epic in terms of plot, but a fantastic image of summer wonder, each of them. Those are my nostalgia books for summer.
It would be nice to see the rest of A Series of Unfortunate Events made into movies. And the Narnia series.
Let me think... I dunno. I'm out of ideas until the next time I check my bookshelf.

There's a book that I have loved since my early teens called Circle of Stones. I know it's a long shot, but I think it would be an amazing concept for a movie.
