Ashmore was scrabbling at the rock, trying to find a weak point in it. He hadn't been as lucky as Blackheart or Shade as his section of the trapping was smaller, as well as the fact that there was no exit path. The only way out was through the rock, which was doable, though he didn't want to risk harm to anyone else in the process. He had to try and claw his way out.
Suddenly, on the other side of the rock wall, he heard a commotion. Something was going on. He pressed his head against the wall, trying to listen in. He heard the sound of steel on steel, which meant a duel was taking place. Blackheart was in there. As far as he knew, Shade was in there as well, for he had heard his brother's cries before the duel had started.
And then he heard a name. A name which turned his blood to ice. Waldorf. He pulled back from the wall. "No," he said in shock. "It couldn't be... "He's supposed to be dead!"
But it was him. There was no mistaking the malice in his voice. He was there, on the other side of the wall. And he was threatening Shade and Blackheart.
His blood began to boil. Rage, hatred, sorrow and many other emotions began to burn inside him. The terrible memories he had tried so hard to block out were returning to him. This man had done inhuman things to his friends and family. Twisted and evil things. Unforgivable ones. Waldorf had killed his brother.
Ashmore's rage peaked. He stepped back, and charged directly at the wall, shooting the biggest fireball he could spawn. He had no regard for the safety of the cave, only for the demise of the man on the other side of the wall. His shot ripped through the rubble and his body crashed through anything that remained.
"WALDORF!!!" he roared. The man had Blackheart pinned to the wall, sword at his throat. The sunned and explosive appearance of Ashmore from behind caught him off guard. He had no time to react, for in a split second, Ashmore had sunk his fangs into Waldorf's Right leg and was thrashing him around like a rag doll. Fueled by rage, he whipped around and threw the limp form of his greatest enemy towards the collapsing rubble he had blasted through. The last thing he caught a glimpse of before the rubble obscured the man from sight was his eyes. They were still bright. Still insane. And very much alive.
The rocks crashed around the man. Whether he was dead or not, Ashmore didn't know, but he had gotten a share of his rage out. Though there was still plenty left. Though it had died in the moment. The cave around them was collapsing, and Blackheart was injured. He needed to get him out.
He bounded over to the dazed human's side, and hoisted him onto his back. He then took off for the cave entrance, escaping the falling rubble, and more importantly, the wretched memories of his past.

Seth and Rosco saw the others run for the cave.
"It looks like it's time to go." Seth said.
The two began to run towards the cave.
The catapults were starting to go off more frequently.
When they were getting close to the cave, they heard someone scream "They're aiming for the mountain!"
Seth didn't even pay attention to what that really meant. He just kept running.
The two got into the cave just behind the others.
Seth looked up at the ceiling and saw that it was cracking badly.
The hits from the catapult weren't helping things.
Suddenly, the was a sharp, loud noise. The cave was starting to collapse.
Rosco reacted quicker than Seth and pushed him away from falling debris.
Seth was pushed into a separate tunnel.
Rosco dodged more falling rocks and ran into another tunnel.
Another hit from the catapult brought even more rocks down until the entrance and other pathways were blocked.
Seth sat up in a daze and looked around. He was in one of the sleeping quarters. Everything was knocked over or broken.
Rosco had ran into an armory. Like the condition of the tunnel Seth was in, everything was tipped over or damaged.

Suddenly, Flameskull felt a shudder in the ceiling. He looked up, and saw that the ceiling was about to collapse right on top of Toothless. "Toothless! Watch out!" he warned. Toothless charged backwards, but at the last second Samantha slipped off of his back and landed right on the ground. Without thinking, Flameskull ran in, scooped her up in his paw, and ran back, just as the ceiling collapsed. He shielded his eyes as dirt and rubble flew everywhere. When it had settled, he looked back, and saw that they had been completely separated from Toothless and Hiccup. "Well isn't that just great," Flameskull complained. _____________________________________________________________ Blackheart was only barely conscious when Ashmore came to save him. He watched as the dragon visciously attacked Waldorf, smiling faintly. Then, when the battle was over, he felt the dragon pick up on and carry him away. "Good job, Ash," he said. He then slipped out of consciousness. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Shade was running through the base, when he turned the corner and ran into Silver. "Silver!" he exclaimed. "Are you okay? (Block )

((Everyone's having block )) Silvermoon was desperately running through the cave, quickly trying to find an exit. She spent several minutes, running into dead ends or walls of rocks caused by the cave in which locked the way. "There has to be a way out somewhere..." she thought as she had reached another wall. She stood there for a moment, and decided to try going through one of the passages which she hadn't tried yet. She turned around and began walking back. Right as she turned around a corner, she almost walked right into her brother, Shade. "Shade!" she said, grateful that he was alright. She nudged him gently out of happiness. "Are you okay?" he asked her. "Yes, I am. Misael and I got separated from the cave in. I'm trying to find a way out. What about you? Where's everyone else?" she asked, worriedly. ((Same ))

Ashmore bounded through the collapsing tunnels, looking for an exit. The dust and debris was making it near impossible to see, and the general chaos of the collapsing world around him didn't help either.
He bolted around a corner just as a huge chunk of rock crashed down in the path behind him. The place was falling apart quickly. If he didn't make it out soon, he wouldn't make it out at all.
As he darted around the corner, he was met with a distant light. The outside world was awaiting for his arrival, his escape form their falling fortress.
He sprinted as fast as he could, the unconscious Blackheart still slumped on his back. The walls were cracking around him, more rubble falling. Huge chunks of rock were crashing down in front of him. He weaved around them, leaping onto some to boost his acceleration down the cave.
He was almost out when the entrance began to fall. A wave of debris was crashing down at the entrance, quickly blocking the glorious light from view. Soon, the rubble would be too much to move. He had one shot.
Still charging forward, he extended his wings as far as the cave would let him, launched himself forward with all the force he could muster, and shot a fireball. The falling rubble exploded out into the day, and Ashmore followed suit through the gap he had made. As quickly as the hole had appeared, more rubble took it's place and the cave was sealed, Ashmore and Blackheart safely outside.
He looked around. The remainder of the imperial army was launching a few last boulders at the mountain a ways away. The Imperials had lost many, there numbers reduced to about a quarter of the men they had started with. Hopefully Waldorf was in that body count. Despite this, the soldiers had still outgunned them, and had forced their retreat. At least they stalled long enough to complete their mission: evacuate.
Though he couldn't stop thinking about the others, and all that had happened throughout the fight. How many had they lost? What was the deal with the sudden appearance of the Whispering Death(who had since vanished from the battlefield)? Were all of his friends alright? Where was Samantha?
He wanted to desperately to know the answer. But he had an unconscious human in his care, and one that needed medical attention for his wounds as well as his mental health. He also didn't want to get in the way of any remaining soldiers, even despite the fact that they were beginning to depart, knowing they had won the battle. Ashmore was unable to fly at the moment, which would serve him no good near the enemy.
He turned towards the mountain. "I hope to the gods that they are all right." He whispered. He glanced towards Blackheart and bounded up the mountain, in search for a suitable shelter.

Seth noticed that the other side of the tunnel he was in was blocked by assorted supply barrels. There wasn't much light in the area he was in, so he moved some of the supplies and looked for a lantern. After several minutes of searching, a lantern and "fire starters" were found. Seth decided he would see where the rest of the tunnel led. ((I don't know where "fire starters" came from : )

Flameskull looked up and saw that there was a small hole in the ceiling of the cave. Upon inspection, he realized that he could enlarge it with some effort. After a few minutes, he managed to create an opening just big enough for him to slip through. He was about to do so, when he remembered Samantha.
He turned around, hoping that the girl was awake and could carry her own weight, but he was disappointed. "Damn it," he cursed. He picked her up and squeezed through the hole.
Once he was in the air, he spread his wings and flew up, looking over the wreckage. He saw the faint shapes of rebel forces retreating over the hills around them, but there would be no way for him to catch up. Not with Samantha to take care of.
The Imperial army had been significally reduced in number. The Whispering Death that had attacked was still going on its rampage, although it's fury seemed to be dying down.
Despite all this, it was clear that the base had been lost.
Flameskull had nowhere to go now. Nowhere but the Sanctuary.
His homing instincts told him which way was north. He turned in that direction and flew away.

"Good," said Shade. Suddenly, the cave behind him collapsed.
"We need to get out of here and meet up with the others, now!" He exclaimed. "I'd go back to help Blackheart, but I can't. I can only look for him outside... As for everyone else, I don't know. I was with Ashmore and Samantha, but Samantha got separated from us by that Whispering Death, and Ashmore by a cave in... And then... Waldorf showed up..."
Suddenly, the cave shuddered again. Shade looked around fearfully, and then turned back to Silver. "We need to leave, now! I'll explain everything later!"

Silvermoon listened to Shade as he explained what ha happened. All the unfortunate things he said worried her, especially that Ahmore had been trapped elsewhere as well. Then, Shade said something that left her almost speechless.
Waldorf was alive. That wicked human who betrayed them. The man who had killed their brother, Nico.
Silvermoon's eyes widened in shock. "What?! Waldorf is alive?!" she roared, instantly feeling anger. The cave shuddered right after she said that.
Shade turned around and said they ha to leave. "You better tell me what happened!" Silvermoon said as they both began running through the collapsing cave. Behind them, the dealing had already fallen. They both ran as rocks of different sizes fell from above them. Some small ones had hit her a couple times, but it wasn't enough to do any damage to her.
Then before she was able to do anything, a large sized rock fell on top of her right shoulder.
Silvermoon roared in pain as she stumbled and fell. But despite the immense pain she felt, she stood up and continued following Shade, sort of limping along the way, and trying to ignore the pain. -----------------------
Meanwhile, Misael had gone out from another exit right as the cave collapsed. He stood outside for a moment, trying to gain his breathe after running for his life. There weren't as many catapults that there were before, so it was safer to be out now.
"I hope everyone's okay..." he thought. After he had gained some energy back, he headed towards the mountain to see if he could find anyone else.
It wasn't long until he did.
He was able to see Ashmore, Samantha's dragon, not too far away from him, going up the mountain. He seemed to be carrying someone on his back, and it looked like Blackheart.
"Something must've happened..." Misael began running towards the two. "Ashmore!" he yelled, hoping the night fury would notice him.

Ashmore Blasted up the mountain, trying to get away from the wreckage of the battle as quickly as possible. He was going as quickly as he could whilst also being as silent as he could, to prevent his notice from any stay soldier. It was this silence that allowed him to catch the call that sounded from below. It was Misael, calling his name.
He acted before he could think. In one fluid movement, he turned, opened his wings, launched down the mountain, scooped up Misael in his paws and tossed him onto his back, next to the Unconscious Blackheart. He landed, still unable to completely fly, and bolted back up the mountain. He glared up at Misael in scared desperation. "Don't yell like that! The soldiers would be able to hear that from miles away now that the battle is done! We need to be silent, and I need to get Blackheart to safety. Once he is better, we'll search for the others."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Klink was ripping soldiers to shreds, left and right. They occasionally landed a small blow here and there, but it wasn't phasing him. What little rational thought he was getting through his battle frenzy told him that he would be good to keep going one. He wasn't the main focus of the battle. The mountain was.
That was, until, the mountain caved in on itself. The soldiers had taken their enemies' fortress. And with that, their heavy artillery began to aim at him.
What few catapults were left began to hurl boulders at him. He dodged many, but one struck a blow near his head, dazing him. It was enough to snap him into the reality of the situation. The catapults were to far away to lay to waste with fire, as well as for him to get close enough without any further harm. He also was covered in more wounds than he had realized. Enough for him to feel the energy loss.
The battle has been lost for the Dragons. They had put a good dent in the soldier's forces, but it was time for escape. Another volley of boulders were hurled upon him. He turned and dove into the ground, taking out a few last soldiers in the process. Within seconds he was out of sight, and a split second later the boulders landed over his tunnel, effectively blocking any chance for the soldiers to follow him. Within minutes, Klink was miles away.

Seth lit his lantern and walked through the other side of the tunnel.
It appeared to be an escape route blocked off for some reason.
Seth was still a bit shocked of all the events that happened that day. He hoped things would settle down for at least a few hours.
After only a few minutes, Seth saw light. He put out his lantern and carefully walked towards the end of the cave.
_________
Meanwhile, Rosco had been waiting for the right time to start digging his way out of the cave. As soon as the catapults started to slow, he knew he should start his escape.

As Flameskull was flying over the wreckage of the mountain, something caught his eye below him. He saw a human- he recognized him as Seth, his friend's human- run out of the mountain. He was alone, and Flameskull saw that the imperials were coming. They would find him soon, unless he saved him.
He sighed, and reluctantly swooped down, picking the human up with his paw and ignoring his yell of surprise. _____________________________________
Shade saw what had happened to Silvermoon, and saw that she was limping, but couldn't do anything to help her until they escaped. They were so close...
There was another shudder, and he saw the roof in front of them begin to collapse.
"We're out of time!" he yelled. "Come on!"
They ran through the falling dust, and were just able to slip by before the roof caved. They rounded a corner and emerged into the light. They kept going, bounding down the mountain as fast as they could. Shade could sense that Silvermoon was in pain, and running out of energy, but he couldn't help her until they reached safety.
Finally, they reached the bottom of the mountain and disappeared into the woods at the base. They were on the other side of the mountain from the imperial camp, and no soldiers were in sight. They found a good place to make camp, and Shade turned and faced Silver. "Are you okay?" he asked.

Misael felt glad when He saw that Ashmore had noticed him. He wait until he reached him, Thoug he got there and caught him by surprised.
"Whoa!" he said as the night fury scooped him up in his paws and tossed him on his back. He quickly balanced himself.
"Thanks for that..."
Ashmore was glaring at him, and Misael understood his message.
"Oh, right. Sorry...I shouldn't have yelled" he apologized. "Remember to smack me in the face with your tail for that later. Let's get out of here now, though" he looked down at Blackheart, who was unconscious. Misael noticed blood on his side. He was wounded, but luckily he didn't seem to be bleeding much, but he still needed help, and quick.
"Gods...what happened to him?" he whispered as Ashmore started moving again. "Hang in there, brother"
------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Shade and Silvermoon had barely managed to escape the cave right as it collapsed behind them. She almost thought she wouldn't make it.
They both went to the bottom of the mountain, and into the woods, where there weren't any soldiers. Silvermoon's shoulder was hurting so much, that the moment the stopped she gave in and collapsed onto her side, breathing heavily. "Are you okay?" Shade asked.
Silvermoon lifted her head, groaning in pain slightly.
"Not really...It hurts a lot..." she said, hissing slightly from the pain. Her whole arm looked strange, and some scales had fallen off on the area where the rock fell on her, and she was bleeding a bit. She tried to move her arm only to have the pain sting even more than before. She hissed lowder, and dropped her head back on the ground.
"I think I might have dislocated it..." she said, laying there as she waited for the pain to go away.

Ashmore soon made it through the trees and into a clearing, far up the mountain and away from the carnage. There was a small overhang of rock at one side, a place which he deemed suitable for shelter. He bounded over and set his companions down on the ground. He turned to Misael. "Quickly, go get us some firewood. We need some warmth." He spar out a flicker of flame and made some marks in the ground. Misael got the idea and hurried off in search for the firewood.
Ashmore tuned to Blackheart, who was still unconscious. He looked down worriedly at him. He was a bit scratched up in places, a few minor wounds, but nothing life threatening. With a little warmth and fire, things should be better in no time.
He sat down next to Blackheart and put his wing around him, awaiting his return to consciousness. And then he thought of Waldorf.
That human. Ashmore usually was pretty good with them. But Waldorf... after what he had done, Ashmore could barely even consider him a being of emotion. His brother had loved him, trusted him, and Waldorf had killed him. In front of their won eyes. It was unforgivable.
Rage and Sorrow filled up within him. He dug his claws into the earth, not knowing whether to scream in rage or cry out in sorrow. His voice caught, and he did neither. He just sat and looked at the ground as tears began to flow from his eyes. The memories were too strong. His brother... his friends... his life... all ruined. Added were the dreadful events of the day. He had been separated from his rider. He didn't even know if Samantha was alive. Everything was going all wrong.
He sat there, deep in despair. He could only hope and imaging that right now Waldorf lay under a mountain of rocks, slowly crushing the life out of him as he thought about what had happened. But Ashmore knew it wasn't true. Waldorf was too clever and intelligent. He would have found a way out.
The thought also made him realize something else. Something happier. If Waldorf could survive, than so could his friends. They had all the skill and cleverness of Waldorf - and more. They all had something that Waldorf lacked in his entirety.
Love.
Ashmore knew then, for sure, that everything was going to be okay. His friends would be alright, and they would come out of this war victorious. It would be a long shot, but they would be able to do it.
Blackheart began to stir. Ashmore looked down to him. Blackheart's eyes wearily opened, meeting Ashmore's. Ashmore smiled down at him. "It's good to see you back in action. Are you feeling all right?" He hoped Blackheart would get the message.

Seth walked out of the cave and scanned the surroundings. It didn't look like either sides had come by this area recently. Seth wasn't aware of the danger that was right around the corner...
Without warning, Seth was swiped up by something.
"Whoa!" He yelled, shaking a bit.
It didn't take Seth long to recognize that he was picked up by Flameskull.
Seth took a deep breath of anxiety. He knew that Flameskull wasn't a big fan of humans (to think of it lightly as he could).
Ever since Seth knew about Flameskull, he avoided him. This seemed like a good plan to Seth. Although, some times he couldn't avoid him. Flameskull's demeanor slightly confused Seth, but it wasn't something he was going to put all his time into pondering about. Luckily, this was the only one Seth had to avoid.
Why Flameskull picked him up was beyond him...at least until he saw the soldiers below...
_______
Rosco was still trying to dig out of the tunnel he was in. Rock after rock went by, but they seemed to keep coming. The catapults were still firing at the mountain. Rosco decided to rest from the digging and wait for the catapults to stop completely.

Blackheart woke up to a massive pain in his side. He stirred, earning a sharp stabbing feeling from the cut. He felt a weight on him, and realized it was a Night Fury's wing. "Shade..." he whispered.
He opened his eyes, and saw that it wasn't Shade, but Ashmore. The larger Night Fury was lying down with his wing draped over the Viking. Upon seeing him stir, the dragon looked into his eyes and warbled. Are you okay?
Blackheart's heart grew heavy as he remembered what had happened. He sighed, and said, "I'm alright. Still bleeding a little but though. I should patch that up.... re you alright?"
Ashmore nodded forlornly.
Blackheart sighed. "It's really good to see you Ashmore. You did really well back there. Thank you. I'm glad you're okay." Then he came to a realization. "Oh my gods... Waldorf! He's alive!" he tried to sit up, but his side flared up in pain. He laid back down and asked, "Shade. Samantha. Did they make it out? Did anyone make it out?"
________________________________
Shade looked at his sister's shoulder, wondering what he should do. Then it came to him. He needed to pop it back into place.
"Silver, lie down for a bit, okay?" he directed. "I'm gonna fix your shoulder."
Silvermoon did as he instructed. He then found a good-sized branch and gave it to her. "Bite down on this while I do it," he said. "It'll keep you from roaring."
She took the branch in her mouth and bit down on it. Shade positioned himself above her, placing his paws on her shoulder. "Ready?" he asked.
She nodded, her eyes glaze with pain and anxiety.
"Alright. On the count of three." He readied his muscles to push her shoulder back in place, and then started the countdown. "Three... Two... One."
He pushed it into place. _____________________
"Stop struggling!" Flameskull hissed in annoyance. "It's bad enough that I have to carry both of you."
He flew over the enemy base, dodging catapult fire, and then flew past it. They were safe now.
He flew for several more minutes, putting as much distance between the ruined base and them as he could. When he determined he had gone enough, and saw a large mountainside cave big enough to house him, he landed, letting the two humans out of his grasp.
