Seth raced to the middle of the camp where, if his suspicions were correct, the others should be. As soon as he got out of the cavern, it was apparent that something was about to happen. Rosco came out of the caverns and saw the others. He looked at Seth unhappily.
"It looks like we need to be ready." Seth said.

Blackheart heard the horn and the roar, and his heart dropped. "Come on, Shade," he said. He stood up, sheathed his blade, and mounted the dragon. As Shade walked to their battle station, in between Samantha and Ashmore and Misael and Silvermoon, he said, "Don't worry. We'll get through this, I promise."
Shade warbled in response. I hope so.
They passed Seth and Rosco on the way. Blackheart saluted to his friends. "Take care of yourself out there, brother," he said. "Good luck."
They got in line next to Ashmore and Samantha. "Hello, friends," he said. "Watch yourselves out there. It'd be a shame if you don't make it."

Shade was talking to Ashmore.
"What you did was stupid and reckless," said Shade. "And for all we know, this is your fault.". The other dragon lowered his head in shame. "But I forgive you. You're my brother, Ashmore, and that means more to me than any little mistake you could make.". He turned to Silver. "The same goes for you, just so you know."
Flame skull arrived, two spots down from him. "You guys ready to have fun?" he asked.
"Flameskull, you're my friend and I deeply care about you," said Shade. "But honest to the gods, you worry me sometimes."
Above them, Hiccup began his speech.
"Today, our worst fears have been realized!" he began. "Our enemies, who wish to destroy everything we love and believe in, are at our doors. They come to exterminate our dragons like rats, Nd they think that makes them better than us. They come to kill our men, defile our women, and enslave our children! But I swear to you all, that as long as I am alive, I won't let that happen! As long as I am alive, there will still be at least one spark of good in this corrupted land. As long as I am alive, I will fight. Tell me, men, will you fight too?"
Cheers and roars echoed through the room, as each human and dragon shouted their loyalty. Taking Hiccup with him, Toothless jumped down and walked over to his children.
"Are you three okay?" he asked.
Shade nodded. "I'm fine," he said. "Don't worry about us. I won't let anything happen. I won't let them- or you- die. Not like our brother, or Mom. I swear on my life, father, we are not losing another member of this family."
(T11, you could start the fight. That's one thing you could include in your post)

(( Ashmore Nah, it's not too graphic. It's ok XD And she is If her rider is going to be in it, why not her? I'll see how much I can do with them though...What idea do you have in mind? If it's a surprise, then it's ok XD Lol and I just realized a stupid auto correction that my iPod made in my previous post )) Misael and Silvermoon were at the line, right behind Shade and Blackheart. Misael sighed, within a few Minutes they would be outside, battling yet again. Silvermoon listened carefully as Shade told Ashmore about what he did. She felt like saying something too, but decided against it, after Shade turned and told her the same thing that he last mentioned to Ashmore. Misael climbed onto the saddle on Silvermoon's neck and sat down. He looked behind him and saw Roran mounted on Sulphurwing. Both of them were approaching the line as well. Misael gave him a nod, and he nodded back. Misael took a deep breath, "We're going to go through this..." he said. Silvermoon looked at him With an encouraging smile, making him feel much more confident about the battle. Then Hiccup began his speech, which meant that they were about to head out soon. As he finished, Every Viking and dragon cheered and roared. He was now sure that everything would go out right. Toothless came with Hiccup to Shade, Ashmre ad Silvermoon. "Are you three okay?" he asked. "I'm alright," Silvermoon answered shortly after Shade was done. "We'll win this father. You'll see, we will!" Silvermoon said as she let out a roar. Just a few minutes later, the sounds of the soldiers grew louder. Hiccup and Toothless went to the front. "Now, let us go!!!" he said as he drew his sword. More cheers and roars were heard as everyone drew their weapon. Then Toothless turned, and began to runtowards the exit of their hideout. Everyone behind began following as well. Every second seem to pass by slowly as Misael and Silvermoon ran towards the exit. Misael no longer had any fear, and did a quick last prayer before the got to the exit, begging for everything to turn out ok. Then, everything started happening very quickly. They were out in the morning snow. Misael swung his sword at every soldier he could reach as Silvermoon furiously caught some of them with her teeth, and tossing them away, or smacking some with her tail. Roran and Sulphurwing were doing the same, and using the Nadder's sharp tail spikes, shooting them and killing various soldiers at a time. So far, everything seemed to be going ok. But they were no where near to defeating the imperials. ((Ok, sorry if the post sounds weird or bad XD I'm really new to drama and action in an RP...and also, its kinda late here So excuse me if this post wasn't that good ))

Hiccup gave the signal, and the Battle had begun. Ashmore, with Samantha atop him, charged out of the cave and immediately took to the air. They soared high above the closer wave of attacking soldiers and directed their attention to those who were in the back. Their plan was to get them at both sides and put some heavy pressure on them.
Ashmore was at the head of the flight group. When they reached the end of the Imperial army, he glanced up at Samantha. She grinned in return. "Let's show these vermin what messing with dragons is really like! Shall we?" she asked.
Ashmore grinned as well. "We shall." And with that, he dived at blinding speeds towards the ground. When he was within seconds of impact, he pulled up immediately and let off a shot of blue flame, which exploded with an incredible force, boosted by their rapid descent. Soldiers went flying and flaming in every direction. It had caught them off guard.
Ashmore pulled back up, and they bombed again. The soldiers were still dazed by this sudden attack from the rear, but were regaining their ground. Soon, they had adjusted to their situation and were attacking back at full force. They had arches for those in the air, and skilled swordsmen for those on the ground. Similar endeavors were occurring at the front of the battle near the cave. It was pretty even thus far. But it was far from over.
Samantha glanced around and pulled out Pyra. Lighting the blade, she looked to Ashmore. "Let's try our semi-ground approach."
"Interesting idea. I think it will work fine." He dived down towards the ground, and was soon flying at high speeds just above the heads of the soldiers. He slashed out with his claws, and soldiers were ripped up right and left. His high speeds allowed them to evade most attacks. They just had to be wary of a few stray spears.
As they sped over the army, Samantha slashed out at soldiers when they were in reach, settling them ablaze with Pyra. Even when there were none in reach, she slashed out at the air, sending seemingly harmless wisps of flame into the battling crowds. The small flames turned to be deadly, however, as the second they hit either the ground or a soldier, they stuck and immediately spread and consumed their victim.
When they had reached a gap in the fighting, Ashmore pulled back up, out of the range of their arrows. He checked for wounds, and found none. He looked back to Samantha. "You hurt at all?"
She smiled." Nope. I'm right as rain. That worked quite well, wouldn't you think?"
Ashmore nodded. "I'd say so. Now, I'd suggest bombing as few more times. It seems like they've become more focused on the ground fighting so they wouldn't be apt to expect another aerial attac-"
He was cut off by a blast of pure irony. The soldiers were not too concentrated on the ground fighting. They had brought with them weapons that only now did they divulge to their enemy. Catapults. Ashmore was barely able to swerve out of the way of a heavy rock that had been launched directly at him. He regained his senses, and immediately heard a scream of terror. His blood turned to ice as he dived down to try and catch Samantha, who had lost her grip and fallen whilst Ashmore was dodging the boulder.
She was falling fast, screaming in terror. Ashmore was gaining on her, but the ground was nearing even quicker. With a burst of strength, he launched downward at an angle, faster than speeds even he thought possible. He caught Samantha, Back towards the ground, protecting her from harm.
Ashmore crashed at an angle, creating a huge trench in his wake. He had Samantha tightly in his grip, ensuring no danger would come to her. When he came to a stop, he let go, knowing that she was safe. She shakily climbed down from his stomach, as Ashmore up-righted himself and rose to his feet. He grinned wearily at her. "Catapults. Who knew?"
Samantha embraced him. "Thank you." she said, over and over. "You've saved my life! I can thank you enough! You saved me!"
Ashmore was glad for the kindness, but it wasn't long lasting. "You won't be safe for long. Get ready, because here comes trouble."
As he spoke, as section of the Soldiers were advancing on them from all directions. Ashmore had been shaken up from the crash, so immediate flight wasn't that big an option. They would have to fight grounded for the moment.
Samantha got behind Ashmore and Lit Pyra. They prepared themselves mentally, and began to battle with their surrounding foes.

After the speech Hiccup gave, Seth climbed onto Rosco and was ready for battle.
"Okay, depending on how many soldiers there are approaching our position, we should be able to hit their camp." Seth told Rosco.
Rosco nodded, understanding the plan Seth had. They were gonna go after the camp and whoever was still in it.
Everyone rushed out to meet the enemy on the snowy field. Seth and Rosco flew high up to get a better perspective.
"It looks like we need to take care of some of these frontline soldiers first." Seth said to Rosco, temporarily changing plans.
Rosco took a careful shot into a group of soldiers bunched up together. All of them when in every single direction.
"Nice shot. That's how you do it." Seth said to Rosco, patting him on the side of his neck.
The two started hearing loud sounds coming from the enemy camp.
"Catapults? Now they are trying." Seth said, chuckling.
Rosco flew away from the catapult's range and sent a well placed shot into one of them.
"I guess it's back to the original plan." Seth said.

Shade took off into the air, flying out into the battlefield. On his back, Blackheart concentrated on the army below.
"Six shots. Right," he said. "Let's go."
They chose a spot to bomb, and Shade began his descent. Blackheart held on for dear life as Shade folded his wings and dived. The feeling was exhilarating, and adrenaline flowed both of their veins. When the time was right, Shade swooped out of his dive, opened his mouth, shot a ball of fire, and pulled up, spreadings his wings to help regain a steady altitude. He then began another ascent. The imperials in the spot they had chosen were blasted out of the way, most of them killed as well. The ones that weren't were fatally wounded.
Suddenly, a huge projectile flew past them, barely missing. "Gods damn them!" Blackheart cursed. "Catapults!"
More were coming their way. Shade swooped to and fro, weaving between them like a fish through water. Every time, Blackheart half-expected that they would get hit, but he had faith that Shade could dodge them. Finally, the volley ended. They remained unharmed.
"Phew," he said. "Good job, buddy." He patted Shade's neck. The dragon tilted his head back and warbled at him. Thanks. __________________________________________
Suddenly, something caught Shade's eye. Samantha and Ashmore, on the ground, surrounded by imperials. They looked to be doing alright at the moment, but that wouldn't last. They would be overpowered, and quickly, if they didn't intervene, it would happen quickly.
No,[/i] he thought. No, this will not be.
He had an idea then. He went into another dive, and bombed the soldiers right in front of them, clearing a space for them to land. Then, he swooped back around and landed in the spot. Shade shot another fireball to hold the soldiers back long enough to let them get ready. He turned to Ashmore and said, "Miss me?"
Blackheart, somewhat confused but knowing what he had to do, slid off of his back and drew Fury. "Let's go," he said to the tohers. Together, some with tooth and claw, others with steel, they fought.
Shade slashed out at the imperials with his razor sharp claws, and attacked others with his teeth. Next to him, Blackheart thrusted and parried with his sword, striking the soldiers as much as he could. He was an excellent swordsman, and the imperials could barely keep up.
But despite the high body count they were achieving, they couldn't hold them back for much longer. "We need to fall back!" he yelled to Ashmore. "We can't hold out here much longer!" ________________________________________________
Flameskull was on the ground, fighting the imperials. As he dug his claws into the flesh of one, who soon died, another group started to hack at his tail. Their blades, however, were too dull to pierce the armor, however; they could only whack away at it and hope he didn't notice.
He did.
With a roar, he lifted his tail and brought it to the side. "You want my tail?" he yelled. "You can have it!"
Realizing what was about to happen, the soldiers tried to run, but they were too slow. He swept his tail through them, brutally crushing some, sending others flying into the clouds of bloody combat around them.
"Stupid humans," he muttered, wiping his tail on the ground to scrape off the blood.
Suddenly, he heard a Night Fury's shriek wail through the sky. He turned to see what was happening. It was Toothless. A massive boulder thrown from the catapult had hit him mid-flight, not only knocking Hiccup off, but crushing the mechanisms of his prosthetic tail fin as well.
"Oh no you don't," he muttered to himself. He spread his wings and took flight. he wasn't the fastest flier, but by his calculations he could reach them in time and pick them both up in one swoop. But he would only get one shot.
Toothless saw him coming, and manuevered to help the Boneknapper catch him. Flameskull reached him just in time, and felt the Night Fury's claws grip his armor. Flameskull then focused on Hiccup.
He flew lower and approached the spot where the human was going to intersect his flight path. "We've got one shot at this," he said. He could feel Toothless tensing up above him.
It was time. He reached out his paw...
And hooked his claws into Hiccup's armor.
He looked down to make sure the human was safe, and then announced, "I got him!"
"Flameskull! You saved my life!" Hiccup exclaiemd. "Thank you!"
"Don't get used to it," Flameskull muttered. He lifted the foreleg he had caught Hiccup with and held him out to Toothless, who grabbed Hiccup's shirt in his jaws and lifted him to safety.
"Thanks you!" Toothless said into Flameskulls ear. "You saved me and my rider! I don't know how to repay you!"
"Don't worry about it!" he yelled to the Night Fury. "Just stay up there and give me some support once I get back on the ground, okay?"
Toothless nodded. "You got it!" he yelled back.

Misael and Silvermoon were still on the ground, fighting the soldiers that were coming at them.
"More are coming from the north!" Misael yelled. Silvermoon turned as well and they saw many more soldiers heading towards them.
"I'm on it!" Silvermoon roared. She bgan running towards them and once she was close enough, and shot at them, causing a large explosion and instantly killing the ones closest to it, and sending others flying. "Good work!" Misael said.
Then she heard a shreak from the sky.
She turned, distracted for a moment as she saw Toothless falling from the sky.
"Father!!!" she roared as she bega running towards him, her heart beating quickly with terror.
Then Flameskull came and managed to catch Toothless, and a few seconds later he got Hiccup as well. Silvermoon never felt so happy at that moment. She just had to thank the boneknapper for Saving her father if they made it through this war.
"Phew...that was a close one. Looks like those catapults are going to be a big trouble for everyone up there. I think we should try and help getting rid of them!" Misael said.
Silvermoon growled in approval. She charged to a a clear area and took off into the sky. "Ok, we can do this. You have to be careful though," Misael said.
"I will" Silvermoon flew to a high altitud above the enemy camp, avoiding the large boulders. Then she stopped and began to dive straight at them. A loud streak could be heard as she dived at a high speed, avoiding the large rocks, and shot another blast at another one of them, destroying it and killing the soldiers that were operating it as well.
"Nice shot!" Misael said as they swept up, flying away from them again, to prepare and take more down.

Ashmore and Samantha were battling fiercely, taking down one soldier after another. Ashmore struck them down right and left with bone-crushing blows from his wings and tail, while he slashed and ripped others with his claws.
Samantha was using the soldier's movements and weaknesses against them. When they were too slow or swung is just the wrong direction, she easily evaded and slashed with Pyra, which was spitting flames everywhere in the process. Anything they touched they clung to, and burned until there was nothing else left to burn. More than once she knocked the feet out from under any oncoming soldier with a swift low kick, a favorite tactic of hers. Once immobilized on the ground, they were easily taken by any falling sparks from Pyra.
Despite their success, the numbers were overpowering them. Little by little, they were closing in. She glanced at Ashmore desperately, to see if he had a plan. He returned the glance with empty eyes: he still was unable to fly at the moment. They were losing hope.
And then Shade and Blackheart were at their side. Shade grinned at Ashmore. "Miss me, Brother?"
Ashmore returned the smile. "Unbearably so." With that, they all began to fight side by side.
With the aid of Shade and Blackheart, the soldiers were pushed back. It almost seemed like they would be able to fight their way out of their situation. Surely they had to be making progress.
But it was not so. The soldiers were still closing in. Their numbers were far beyond their comprehension. And the four of them were getting fatigued.
Shade Glanced Desperately at Ashmore. "We need to fall back!" he called. "We cannot hold out here much longer!"
Ashmore glanced sorrowfully at his brother. "You go! I am unable to fly from the crash. Take Samantha and get her to safety!"
Shade couldn't comprehend leaving his brother behind. "No. I will stay and fight by your side, even if it is to the death."
"Very well." Ashmore said with sorrow in his voice. He knew that there would be little chance of himself getting out, but his brother had the chance. He was throwing it away.
Soon, they would be overpowered. Soon, the soldiers would be upon them. The four were bracing for that moment, when it would end.
But it didn't.
When all of their hope seemed lost, there was a rumbling. The soldiers in the area, as well as the four, paused in wonder for what it was. Their answer came instantly.
Directly in front of the four, and below the feet of the oncoming soldiers, the ground split open and the biggest Whispering Death any of them had laid eyes on erupted out. It immediately slashed out at the soldiers: ripping them with its tail, snapping them up in its jaws, and incinerating them with huge rings of fire. The four could only stare in shock, gratitude, and horror as the battle crazy dragon ripped his enemies to shreds, without any thought or morale.

"Rosco, we need to fall back!" Seth said, cancelling plans on attacking the enemy base. Seth looked down and saw a Whispering Death slashing through the enemy. "We need to help the others down there!" Seth said to Rosco. Rosco flew down and landed close to the others. "What is the current order?!" Seth asked the others. ((Block-ish post : )

Flamestorm landed on the ground and started attacking the imperial soldiers again. On his back, Toothless began firing strategically placed shots into the battle. They were doing very well; soldiers were being slaughtered by the dozens.
Suddenly, a new noise joined the cacophony. Flameskull glanced at the source, and stared. "Toothless... that's not one of ours, is it?"
Toothless shook his head. "Not at all."
The biggest Whispering Death anyone had ever seen was burrowing its way out of the ground and gobbling up the soldiers.
"Sweet," said Flameskull. He returned to battle.
______________________________________________________________________
Shade and Blackheart stumbled back as the Whispering Death emerged right in front of them.
"Oh gods," Blackheart breathed. "That thing is huge!"
Shade didn't recognize it. He knew it wasn't a part of their army. But maybe he could communicate with it...
"Dragon!" he yelled. "Who are you?"

Misael and Silvermoon were still in the air, comin back after destroying most of the catapults. They were heading back to help the others, when suddenly a loud rumbling was heard.
From above, they both saw as a huge Whispering Death came out from underneath the ground. "Whoa, that thin is huge!" Misael said as it began attacking and instantly killing every soldier it could.
"Lets just hope its on our side. We've got to help them down there," Misael said, seeing as more soldiers were coming. The nigjt fury growled in a greement. They dived down and landed nearby. Silvermoon began running, shooting blasts at any group of soldiers that they saw coming. ------------------
Sulphurwing and Roran were on the ground, and were going to try and help Ashmore and Shade, akin with their riders when right beside them the, ground split and a huge whispering death came out.
"Whoa!" Roran said right as Sulphurwing stumbled and they both fell. The deadly Nadder quickly stood back up an helped her rider up.
"Thanks, Sulpher," Roran said. They stared at the whispering death for a moment, watching as it started killing the enemy soldiers as well. "Looks like we've got some help!" Roran said as he mounted the saddle, and they both went to help as well.

Samantha, Ashmore, Shade and Blackheart stood speechless at he Whispering Death. It was in a battle frenzy, immediately taking out anything that moved. The soldiers that had been seconds ago about to overpower them were being mowed down quicker than they could come in.
The soldiers were realizing this as well, and began to retreat from the area, towards the larger section of the battle. The four were getting an opening to get out, but were still immobilized from the shock of the situation. Shade was the first to break out of the trance. He looked to the Whispering Death. "Dragon! Who are you?"
The Whispering Death paid not attention. There wasn't even any sign that it had even heard Shade. It was focused only on it's fleeing enemies. It roared. "COWARDSSS!!" It focused on the main section of the battle, which was taking place far behind the four. "You will not esssscape...." it hissed, and lunged straight towards the center of the Imperial Army. As well as directly towards Samantha, Ashmore, Shade and Blackheart.
"GET DOWN!" Yelled Shade, who leaped directly towards Ashmore, also pushing him out the way. Blackheart dodged easily as well. Samantha hadn't been quick enough.
She has remained motionless only slightly longer than the others, wondering why the Whispering Death had rescued them, or even bothered to show in the first place. Shade's cry snapped her out of her trance, but not soon enough. She was only able to make it to the ground as opposed of completely out of the way. The Dragon barreled directly at her, snapped open its wings and took flight low to the ground. One of the spines on its tail caught Samantha's jacket, and she was carried off with it.
"NO!!!!" roared Ashmore. He leapt from the ground and tried to take flight in pursuit, but his wing failed him. He only made it a few feet before it gave out, and he was sent to the ground. He looked up at the Whispering Death in Desperation, as it disappeared over the heads of the fighting soldiers and Dragons. It had vanished into the center of the battle.
"Samantha..." Ashmore whispered. He tried to get up and run, but his wing had seared up in pain. Now that he wasn't fighting, he realized that he had hurt it pretty badly.
Shade came to his side. "Don't worry, she'll be fine. She's a good fighter. I have faith in her. You on the other hand, need some medical attention. That wing of yours need looking at."
He and Blackheart turned towards the cave. Ashmore looked out towards where the Whispering Death had vanished. "I hope you're right." he whispered. He then turned and followed Shade back to the Base.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Samantha was freaking out. She was in the air, racing over the army, hooked onto the Whispering Death's tail. She didn't think that the dragon knew she was even there. Though that was the only thing she was really consciously thinking of. The sudden shock of the event had taken a toll on her. She could feel her anxiety was kicking in.
She reached up and fiddled with her jacket until it came unhooked. She fell from the dragon and crashed into the ground. She tired to get up, and couldn't. Everything around her was spinning. The impact and the anxiety had her insides flipped upside down. The fighting raged around her in an endless blur. She could hear soldiers screaming, and dragons roaring, and couldn't make sense of it all. Her stress got the better of her, and she slumped to the ground, unconscious.
She lay there for a long time, unnoticed by the battle around her. To them, she was just anther body.

Seth saw the Whispering Death hurtle towards the main part of the battle.
"That thing is insane! At least it appears to be on our side." He said with shock.
Rosco nodded in agreement.
"We should go back up and defend the camp from any stray soldiers." Seth said.
With that, Rosco leaped up and got back above the battle. The two scanned for close soldiers.

(I know I said I had to go, but I just had to come back on and post this because I had the chance. I will warn you though, this post gets pretty intense in a psychological way. There is a character in this that you will hate with a fiery burning passion that you never knew you were capable of. Let me know if you think I over did it).
Flameskull watched as the Whispering Death went on its rampage. “Dear Odin,” he said. “Toothless! We might want to fall back now! This whole thing is going to Helheim fast!”
Toothless nodded. “Okay!” he said. “Let’s go! The evacuations should be almost done anyway! We’ll hold them off from inside the base until they’re all gone!”
“Got it!” Flameskull yelled. He turned around and started to fight his way back to the base. As he was fighting, however, Toothless caught sight of something on the ground. Or, rather, someone.
“Oh gods no…” he said. “Is that…?”
Flameskull looked back and followed his gaze to the ground. What he saw made him stop.
Samantha was lying on the ground. And she looked dead.
Flameskull sighed. He knew Samantha was close to Toothless, as she was his son’s rider. And, although Flameskull hated to admit it, for a human she wasn’t that bad. He didn’t like her, but didn’t dislike her as much as others. Also, if she was dead, then that raised another question: What happened to Ashmore?
“I need to get down there,” said Toothless. “I need to see if she’s really dead.”
“Well, we kinda don’t have time!” Flameskull yelled as he swiped a soldier into the air with his tail. Toothless, ignoring him, jumped down anyway. “Or you could do it anyway, and risk all of our lives! Yeah, that sounds like a great plan!”
Toothless gave the body a few sniffs, and then looked up the Flameskull excitedly. “She’s alive!” he yelled. “We need to take her with us!”
“Aw, do we have to?” Flameskull complained.
“Yes!” Toothless commanded. He picked up Samantha by her shirt with his teeth and leapt back onto Flameskull’s back. Then, the Boneknapper returned to his trek across the battlefield. It took several minutes, and they had several close calls, but they made it. As Flameskull stumbled past the cave entrance, Toothless jumped off of his back. Hiccup was still riding him, and he was holding Samantha in place. “Thanks,” he said to Flameskull. “You really saved us back there.”
“Yeah, yeah,” said Flameskull. “Don’t get used to i-”
He was cut off as the cave rumbled. “Oh no,” said Hiccup. “Tell me that wasn’t…”
Toothless looked up at Flameskull. “They’re targeting the mountain with their catapults,” he said. “Oh gods, this is bad…” ___________________________________________________________________________________
Shade, Blackheart and Ashmore had just reached the cave when the tremor shook the ground.
“What was that?” asked Ashmore. “Was that…?”
“Catapults,” said Shade. “They’re targeting the mountain. Oh, this is bad…”
Suddenly, another tremor shook the cave, and a crack appeared in the ceiling. Elsewhere in the cave, the sound of a cave in could be heard, following by the clanking of armor and several heavy footsteps. “They’ve breached the cave!” Blackheart yelled. “They’ve gotten in! We’ve got to move!”
Just as he said that, the cave shook again, and the ceiling cracked one more time. Only this, time, it collapsed. “Get out of the way!” Blackheart yelled. Shade jumped to the side just as the ceiling collapsed, blocking off the entrance.
He stumbled to the ground, and laid there until the cave in was over. Then, he coughed, and pushed himself back onto his paws. He turned around, and saw with horror that the chamber he had been in before had been completely sealed off. He had been cut off from Blackheart and Ashmore.
He approached the blockage and tried to ram himself against it, but to no avail. Suddenly, he heard Blackheart’s voice from the other side. “Shade! Ashmore!” he yelled. “If you can hear me, meet me at the back entrance!”
So Ashmore had been split from them too. I have a bad feeling about this, Shade thought. But he turned around and began to run to the main entrance.
He didn’t make it far before he turned a corner and came face to face with a group of imperial soldiers.
Before they had time to react, he growled ferociously and pounced on them. While he was midair, he shot a ball of fire in the center of their ranks, sending them flying and killing most of them. As he landed, he swiped his claws across the bodies of two that had survived, killing them. Finally, only one was left. He pounced again.
But the soldier had gotten to his feet. With one blinding movement, he turned around and through something at Shade. An eel.
This was a classic imperial trick. The dragons, in order to combat it, had learned to deal with their fear of eels a long time ago. But they still didn’t like them, and Shade hadn’t been expecting it. In a moment’s worth of hesitation, he broke his concentration and missed, slamming into the wall.
He was disoriented. Before he had the chance to regain his feet, he felt a cold, metal boot press against his body. He was trapped.
This is it, he thought. My time’s up.
“Hello there, Shade,” the soldier said. “It’s been a while.”
Wha…?
He knew that voice. It was one he would never forget.
“But… but how?” he sputtered. “This is impossible!”
As if sensing his confusion, the soldier laughed. “Fitting, that I’m the one who takes your life, don’t you think?” _________________________________________________________________________________
Blackheart ran around the corner, only to stop dead at the sight that was before him.
An imperial soldier had pinned Shade to the ground, and was lifting his blade to kill him.
“No,” he said to himself. “No!” He unsheathed his blade and took off running down the corridor. The imperial soldier must have heard him coming, however, because just as Blackheart was about to swing, the soldier whipped his sword around and parried Blackheart’s thrust.
Shade, taking advantage of the distraction, slipped out from underneath the soldier’s boot. He tried to produce a ball of fire in his throat, but he couldn’t; he was all out of fire.
“Run, Shade!” Blackheart yelled. “I’ll catch up to you!”
Shade considered trying to kill the soldier from behind, but it was too late. The moment had passed. He had to leave. He knew this soldier; he was one of the best swordsmen he had ever seen. In fact, Blackheart was one of the only people who knew his weaknesses. He would have to trust that he would be okay. He turned and ran off to get help.
Meanwhile, Blackheart took advantage of the soldiers momentary lapse in concentration and tried to strike another blow. The soldier regained focus just in time, however, and knocked it away. “Hello, Blackheart,” he said.
And then Blackheart realized who it was. He was aged, yes, and he had grown a large beard to go along with his mustache, but those green eyes, and that dark, black hair was unmistakable, and that face was unmistakable.
“Waldorf,” he said, shocked. “You… You’re alive!”
Waldorf chuckled. “Yep, and I feel great. Well, not so great now, seeing as I let your pet get away. But I’ll catch up to him, just as soon as I’m done with you.” He swung at Blackheart, but Blackheart sidestepped and swung his sword at his back. Waldorf was too fast, however, and blocked it. “Oh, and by the way, that’s General Waldorf now.”
“You were dead!” Blackheart yelled. “I saw it with my own eyes! Seth killed you! He stabbed you right through the heart!”
Waldorf tapped his chest just next to the space where his heart was. “Nope. Missed by about a centimeter. It was a good try, though, I’ll give him that.”
“What do you want from us?” Blackheart spat. “Why can’t you just leave us alone?”
“Well, I have a job to finish!” Waldorf swung his sword again, but Blackheart jumped back.
“WHY?” Blackheart yelled in fury. He swung at Waldorf in a fit of blind rage, and their steel met. “WHY? ISN’T IT ENOUGH THAT YOU KILLED NICO? ISN’T IT ENOUGH THAT YOU KILLED YOUR OWN DRAGON?!”
“No,” Waldorf replied. “It will never be enough. Not until you are all dead.”
With a scream of rage, Blackheart flung himself at Waldorf. But his emotions were clouding his judgment, and Waldorf struck him midair with his blade. Blackheart felt the steel slice through the flesh of his side, and screamed in pain before he fell to the ground.
When he could speak again, he croaked, “You were his friend. He trusted you, and you killed him. How could you?”
He felt Waldorf’s hands grab his back. “He meant nothing to me,” the General spat. “He never did.”
“We were your friends,” said Blackheart. “How could you betray us?”
Waldorf laughed. Then, with a quick motion, he ripped Blackheart off of the ground and pressed him into the wall. “Don’t you see?” he asked, staring into Blackheart’s eyes. “I never was your friend. I was with them the whole time. They’ve been around a lot longer than you think.” As the words sunk in, Blackheart realized just how much they had been betrayed. The Soldiers of Purity had been there the whole time, just waiting to strike. And they had come in the form of a friend…
“I had to infiltrate you, so that when the time was right I could lead them right to you,” he explained coldly. “And if that meant pretending to be friends with one of those monsters, well, so be it.” He chuckled at that last part. Then, his thick eyebrows furrowed, and he pressed Blackheart even closer into the wall. He leaned in, until their faces were merely centimeters apart. “So yes, I killed my own dragon,” he said. “And it just so happened to be your dragon’s brother. And you know what? I enjoyed every last second of it.”
Fury rose up in Blackheart’s chest. More fury than he ever thought he’d be able to feel. But he was weak. He was losing blood, and with it, strength. He couldn’t fight back. He was dead, and he knew it. But before he died, he had to know the answer.
“Why?” he whispered. “Why are you doing this?”
Waldorf shook his head. “Blackheart, Blackheart…” he said. “I wish things didn’t have to be like this between us. We could be great partners. Nobody would be able to stand against us! But alas, you’ve thrown your lot in with them. But what you don’t realize, is that they’re filthy monsters! They’re impure, and they’re everything that is wrong with this world. They must be killed. That is why I am doing this.”
“Why?” Blackheart repeated. He was starting to become delirious.
Waldorf sighed, clearly fed up. He raised his blade and pressed it against Blackheart’s throat. “Because it is the will of the gods,” he said.

((Having block...sorry for the late post )) "Looks like everyone's heading to the cave. Lets go wit them!" Misael said. Silvermoon nodded and instantly began flying towards their base as fast as she could. They reached the cave and went inside. Misael slid off as they went into one of the chambers, when suddenly the ceiling began cracking. "Oh no...They're aiming at the mountain!" Misael said. Right on top of them, The ceiling began to rapidly crack as well. Misael noticed it, "Silver, move!" he said as he jumped to one side and stumbled. Silvermoon didn't think quick enough and jumped towards the opposite side, right as the cieling collapsed blocking the way. It lasted a while, but eventually the cieling finished collapsing, and they were both seperated Silvermoon whinned as she stepped to the wall, pushing her head against the rocks and scratching them. She was thinking about shooting the wall, but decded against it as it could possible make things worse. The she heard him say, "Silver, I hope you can hear me. Go back with the others! Don't worry about me! I'll get out through another exit!" he said. Silvermoon felt better hearing his voice. She felt a bit unsure about his choice, but she grunted in agreement and then turned around, trotting through the cave and going around a corner. Misael too began heading to another direction. -------------- Roran and Sulphurwing stayed at the fight a little longer, until they saw that mostly everyone was retreating. "We've got to go with them. Let's go!" he said as they took off and flew to the base. ((Sorry for the bad post...Aside from major writer's block, I'm kinda confused about where exactly everyone is, and I'm kind of in a hurry since my mom wants to use my iPod -__- I'll try an edit a bit))
