If the series had all THAT stuff in it, it would probably premiere on Adult Swim (which I don't watch : but why? all the other stuff CN airs during the day can be as inappropriate as the shows from Adult Swim (My Opinion, yours may vary :

This wouls probably be better posted in the "Gift of the Night Fury" discussion thread, but I think this might have a tiny bit of foreshadowing to the tv series. I found the blog of Tom Owens and it's a live blog which means I don't have to do fancy stuff to look at it ;D but that also means I can share the blog with you! We all know Tom Owens was the director of Gift but he also storyboarded for the movie and a good chunk of the short as well. On his blog you can see a lot of storyboards from Gift, but he also has come newer sketches of mostly Hiccup and Astrid (the ones for Astrid are actually pretty funny) but also it features Hiccup in a new outfit as well as this new guy(who looks like a villian/hunter). Idk if the new guy is involved in HTTYD or just a random sketch, but it has potential since he only shows up in the HTTYD sketches, and Hiccup's new outfit seems to be reoccuring in Owen's sketches as well. This is, of course, assuming Owens is involved with the tv show, but I have a feeling he might be, either that or we're seeing extremely early sequel stuff. Here's some samples of the non-Gift sketches (idk why the first one is so huge : And if you want to see the Gift storyboards here's his site: tomowensstuff.blogspot.com/

Wow, those are really cool! It's amazing how storyboard artists are able to see that entire image in their mind and then can put that image onto paper. I wish I could do that.

Well then suppose I should be happy that I can draw what I see in my mind. But then, I should since I'm going to college for animation.
Either way, does anyone know if Tom Owens is working on the show or sequel?

Oh, yeah, happy birthday! Here's a cake: (I didn't think a fish was as appropriate) Wouldn't it be cool if Dean Deblois came back for the TV show as well? But it won't happen.

@t11: Oh, why thank you ;D Though I don't think anything is going to top next year's b-day for me, my 19th bday next year is sure to be...interesting. And I meant if Tom Owens is working as a storyboarder on the sequel, obviously he's not directing, but he might be directing some stuff for the tv show. I like the way Gift came out, so he has my seal of approval on directing in the franchise. IcelandicEel: and thank you too! And, yes, I'd much rather eat a cake than fish, but then I'd probably accept anything from Hiccup
