SPOILERZ DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WISH TO SPOIL!!! So someone uploaded Gift to YouTube . That...*sobs*...was beautiful!!!!! 10/10!!!! So: Toothless DID seem to leave all stupidly but he was in my opinion desperate to get the helmet. This is the best HTTYD short ever. The only thing I didn't like was this part where Gobber looke all stupid . Toothless ended up destroying the new tail, cuz he really want to fly with Hiccup and he put such a cute face awwwww . Animation DID look different, but still it was great. NO baby night furies, as I hoped. Though every scene WAS way too short. But I loved it. I'll ask permission if I can post the link here. The uploaded uploaded it as "unlisted" to avoid having it removed from YT.

After 1 hour of fighting with the veehd.com I ended up in registering to that darn site...... IT WAS AWESOME!!! Seriously, there were really funny points like the when *SPOILER* ------- Hiccup believes that Toothless is back and he runs straight to the ice and slips... only to discover that Stoick is in the roof *SPOILER END* Conclusion: It was a fun but a bit too short The only downside was the recycled score. Lets hope the TV series are just as good as this!!

HFHFHGFHGFHJDYDUGHGJTI I WOKE UP TO THE BEST THING EVER! MY ROOMIES RAN OUT AND BOUGHT THIS THIS MORNING Honestly? It almost felt like I WAS watching an episode of the TV series. So this instills a lot of hope for it for me! I think they are trying out the animation style they may use for the show actually. That was probably the most ADORABLE DRAGONS THING I HAVE EVER SEEN It was so sweet and adorable! And, even though the clips made it seem otherwise, Astrid still seems like Astrid, just more relaxed. AND I WAS RIGHT ABOUT THE HELMET HUZAHH. There were so many moments that made us go D'AW and Gobber... GOBBER YOUR ACCESSORIES NEARLY KILLED ME I loved the deleted scenes too, and the preview for the live stage show on the DVD made my roomies freak out because they had not seen the previews on YT for it. I was a bit surprised that Toothless broke his new tail fin at first, but the reasoning was so sweet. He doesn't care if he can fly on his own, he wants to fly with Hiccup more. (Though I do think that Hiccup will rebuild it in time and have to explain to Toothless that he can still ride with him. XD) The entire scene with Hiccup putting the new fin on, in addition to mirroring the scene in the movie, was just all kinds of adorbs! I loved it, that was well worth the wait!

OKAY!!!!!!! I saw it!!! As soon as I got out from school I went and brough it because I couldn't wait till friday.
OH...MY....ODIN
This was exactly what I was hoping from this short but never believed would ever happen. It was amazing. 100/10.
Points that I really loved (because I loved the whole thing) Warning: Serious spoilers for pretty much everything.
~That it still had Hiccup narration. His narration at the end, when he said "winter holds on with both hands and doens't let go", that was amazing writing, so who ever wrote that needs to pat themselves on the back. I actually wouldn't mind if each episode of the tv show started and ended with a Hiccup narration, because the people writing them seem to know how to make it tasteful and not corny. Haha, when he said snoggletog was a stupid name, I was like "yes! you read my mind"
~Also, I didn't feel like they were forcing characters to speak because they wanted to make sure everyone had a line. Everyone's presense was known in this and I feel everyone had the proper amount of screen time. Most of the screen time went to Hiccup, Toothless, and Astrid but, hey, they are the main characters. Everyone was in character and nothing felt odd to me. So, no, I didn't think Astrid was out of character, she was just happy and not stressed out like she was the entire movie.
~And just to make a whole note about Astrid...man, she impressed me in this. She's really stepping up to be one of my favorite characters. I really don't think her character is going to be the hardass most people think she is, I think she's just going to be the overachiever to everything Viking. She's still tough, that's just not her whole character, you know?
~Another thing was the Hiccup/Astrid moments. Were there tons? No. Were there enough? Yes! We don't need tons of romance between thsoe two, but there were little moments that were just so cute. Especially the one at the ending where she kisses and hugs him....that was adorable. I'm liking what I'm seeing with that couple^^
~But the interaction that really stole the show? Hiccup/Toothless! I can't even put into words how pleased I wass with the interaction between them. The ending! Oh, the ending made me almost cry it was so cute...the hugging and then Toothless broke his new tail and made the google eyes....oh my gosh, I love it all! Those two really have the ultimate bromance going on.
~And.....the Hiccup/Stoick conversation felt very real to me, you can really see how they're moving past that awkward stage after the movie and moving into just being a normal father and son. Great scripting there!
~Animation? Perfect. If this is the "lesser" quality of animation then I'm very satisfied. Everything flowed and moved just as in the movie.
Hmmm, did I miss anything? Probably, but I think that's enough spoilers for right now. And sorry if I sound like I'm on something, but I literally just finished watching the dvd and logged on to gush about it.

Okay. I saw it, finally. (Okay, it's been just a day, but a day feel sooo long without dragons!) It was SO much better than my version of it, embarrassingly so! Although mine had include the pageant, which I never really liked to begin with (so I'm very glad they didn't have it in the final version!). But this was really the only change to the storyboard. But that one shot at the beginning where it kinda looked like Stormfly was trying to kiss Toothless... straight out of the storyboard. And by the way, I totally knew Astrid's dragon would be named Stormfly weeks before. And Stoick's dragon's name will be Hookfang (except I don't think I even saw a dragon with him... so that's interesting). And I knew Fishlegs was hiding something! I thought he just knew what was happening to the dragons and that he had gone into his house to cry or something, I didn't know that he was 28% IMPRISONING his dragon! Apparently Fishlegs doesn't know as much about dragons as we thought. Isn't he supposed to be the dragon expert? I guess Hiccup stole that job from him. Trying to keep a dragon in your house... that's not very smart, is it Fishlegs? I think the thing which really stood out about this short was the character interaction, especially Hiccup and Astrid. It felt pretty perfect. And finally Astrid isn't just hanging out in the background, doing and saying nothing, because that's what most bothered me about Boneknapper. And of course the Yaknog scene was as good as usual (though slightly more disgusting in HD . Okay, one little thing that bothered me. I thought Hiccup would slip on the ice again. He slips once, Toothless catches him. He slips again, but Toothless doesn't catch him because HE'S GONE! And at that point, I thought, "he's going to do it again!" But he didn't! Why, Hiccup? I mean, that final scene even took place right by the ice patch! But basically, it was awesome. I'm going to watch it again today, at least once! And good call with the helmet, Bane. Adam Goldberg knows what he's doing... characters don't just lose things for no reason!

Stormfly trying to kiss Toothless? Lol I think they were probably "talking" in their language. It sounds disgusting that a Nadder would kiss a night fury XD. Yet another thing that will remain unknown though... XD

Well... I'm pretty sure they weren't actually trying to kiss. It's just it gives a more vivid mental picture. I agree, communication of some sort. Although, of all dragon romances, Stormfly and Toothless is probably the most likely to happen.

Oh no no no I really wish that won't XD. Besides, Stormfly had children. So it would be kinda wrong to get along with Toothless. Still, Toothless having romance is something I would hate to see. So yeah. My favorite dragon must NOT fall I love XD.
