Hmm well maybe that description you got isn't real...? Cuz in the trailer they BOTH go to the island, just like in it's early screenplays or something that IcelandicEel got hold of.

blackrose108: I don't like that. Next thing you know, Hiccup is going to get his leg back. Maybe Toothless finds Hiccup's leg during his travels and, with a little bit of Night Fury magic, finds a way to reattach it. See, it all makes sense! Hiccup's leg is obviously the Gift of the Night Fury. toothless11: I was pretty sure that Hiccup and Toothless would go to the island together too. It sets up so perfectly that holiday special idiom of "I wish I could spend time with my family, but I have to be here instead." I mean, just look at the Kung Fu Panda holiday special or *shudder* the Star Wars holiday special, or any holiday special because it has some variation of this. After all, how else can Hiccup learn the true meaning of Thor'sday Thursday?

Yeah true. Oh and Toothless being able to do magic is kinda a stupid idea . Well I hope they do make them go together. But I don't get it. Then why in the trailer it shows that they DID go together? Lol we need to ask Pete about this XD.

IcelandicEel: Well, I don't really know what else to say about it. I'm just trying to figure out the description. I mean, there's no way to completely tell if the description is legit, since it's not out yet and every other description we've gotten hasn't gone into that much detail. Plus, the site I got it from was international, so maybe it's is wrong? I'm pretty sure the thing about the exploding eggs in Berk is correct, and in the clips where Hiccup is one the dragon's island he's never actually seen with Toothless. But then it seems kind of stupid that they up and made Toothless able to fly on his own because of something Hiccup randomly invents. Hmmm, I'm interested to see how they pull this off...if they pull it off at all. Blah, idk.

I say that description was FAKE. We should try and contact Peter again and ask him. Maybe he can answer this.

Yeah. 20 min of seeing how Toothless stupidly leaves Hiccup, if that Description is legit. If that's the case, no natter how epic other things of Gift would be, I would give this a 3/10.

Oh toothless11, your pessimism never ceases to amuse me. I'm not sure why anyone would have the motivation to make up a falsified synopsis like that. After watching the US version of the trailer and seeing how Toothless was able to keep flying after Hiccup launches himself up and over the stone arch, it makes me believe that it's probably true. Granted, it was easier to believe that Hiccup just created a stability locking system that would maintain Toothless' flight in a single direction, but again, I highly doubt someone would make up details like that. So assuming that synopsis is true, I suppose he takes a ship out. But by himself? hmmmm. blackrose108: I don't like that. I don't think any writer would be that stupid. That kind of substantial character change would only be reserved for the sequel, not a dinky little short. Besides, I believe Dean really wanted to make everyone realize that heroism can come with significant PERMANENT costs. Making that dramatic loss of a foot temporary would be some of the shittiest writing I've ever seen. Remember guys, the general outline and story had to pass Dean's approval according to Pete. This movie has been 100% free of supernatural/magical elements thus far and I expect it to stay that way. As far as Toothless' ability to fly on his own, it is very likely that the writing tactic of "everything returns back to normal at the end" will be used for the same reason I mentioned above. It's kinda taboo to force your viewing audience to watch a short to understand any significant changes in the story or characters in between the full feature films.

Well I'm gonna hate Dreamworks the rest of muller if they do that still . As I said. It is VERY STUPID for Toothless to LEAVE HICCUP STUPIDLY only cuz his DAMN INSTINCS want him to. In fact I say night furies are so smart, that they're like humans, having a personality and a conscience XD. But idk...

I started playing a couple seconds of the first one and stopped it. Now I'm wondering if I want to watch these. This major content dump I think will take the enjoyment out of watching the full thing uninterrupted. How the hell did this uploader get a hold of these? You guys tell me (whoever decides to watch these) if I should watch them or not.

I watched them...and I know I shouldn't be but.....OH MY GOSH I'M SOOOOO EXCITED.
They seem to be pulling out all the "loose ends" that weren't tied in the movie. Hiccup seems to be frustrated with his leg and Toothless's place with the other dragons. And it actually does make it pretty clear that Hiccup and Astrid are dating (unless Hiccup always calls Astrid "My Lady" and Astrid always tells Hiccup he's "Amazing...which I doubt).
Anyways, these clips really don't spoil too much, they more pick your interest than spoil things. So, I'd say it's okay to watch it oneill5491, unless you just want to be completely and totally surprised by every little thing.
My favorite thing about this is that, no matter what odd things they're doing with Toothless, they seem to be focusing more on plot and less on comedy...which is a big step for Dreamworks.

OM OMG OMG!!!! I just watched the first one. I indeed DO WANNA WATCH IT!!!! Now I really didn't want Stormfly from the books to be added. Knowing that's the nadder's name comfirms she won't . So also, Toothless instances didn't take over his mind that part. He would have ignored Hiccup and Elwin with the dragons . Dang Oneill, stop posting vids. My pressure gets really high wen I see news XD. EDIT: Watched the rest. Second one. NOT COOL. Hiccup flying a stupid gronkle? Might this confirm Toothless does leave ALONE?!?!? Third: IDK why I EALLY LOVED the beginning. DEFINATELY. Fourth: More confirmation of him leaving alone -_-. Fifth: Gronckles are ugly, but those were SO CUTE!!! XD Ok so I would be ok that Toothless leaves alone, ONLY if he likes asks Hiccup (wit gestures of course) if he would want to go. Not randomly let his intincs kick in an leave like theres no tomorrow, just like the other dragons. I will HATE dreamworks if they did this. And possibly hate the whole movie, for making Toothless officially be stupid there... Well really, thanks for posting these vids. Luckily I don't feel as much pessimist as before, and now I feel like watching it more XD. But, where did you find those? Any way you can get more? Also, if Toothless turns out to have a kid, Dreamworks is SOO DEAD. But either way. I'm so gonna ask my sister to buy this for me XD. EDIT#2: Sh!t it wasn't Oneill who posted that XD. Got so excited I didn't even see . We NEED TO SEE THE LAST ONE!!!!!!!!

I'm loving the Hiccup/Toothless interaction going on in the third clip...it's just what I expected them to be and it's extremely cute XD. Also, I like how it seems like the pacing won't be completely rushed here. They seemed to have made enough time to have in between shots for a little comic (tastefully comedic) relief and still get to the deeper point of the story which focuses with Toothless's (and probably Hiccup's) handicap. I'm excited, so I hope everyone else is too. And was I the only one not suprised that Astrid is a terrible cook? Don't drink the yaknog XDDDD. My only thing is where the heck is Gobber!!! I hope he's not just a random by stander in this story, but then again, I think he got enough screen time in the boneknapper short....
