That's exactly what I thought when I saw the Gronckle first. But during the final week of production (about a month ago), one of the animators called it "How to Hatch Your Dragon," so I'm guessing that Gift is something different. Besides, the plot of the storyboard just screams out holiday special (father and son being separated during the holiday), and Gift isn't a holiday special.

Oh, I see. Well thyself dumb then. Hatchlins in both HTHYD, AND Gift? -_-. I asked in the Facebook HTHYD page if Gift or something is just HTHYD new name. I'll tell y'all if they answer.

Ok, I just got a reply from Peter Upson on YouTube in response to my inquiry about the voice actors and mysterious 10 second clip we've been talking about: Hey Oneil, so the Gift of the Night Fury is all the same cast, crew, writers from the film, America is definitely in that. I can't really say what Book of Dragons is about, I haven't seen it myself. That was a different crew at Dreamworks, it might just be a temp voice in that clip though since it looks like incomplete footage. I don't know much about the TV series either, but the sequels are in the works and they sound really cool! |

Hell yeah! This is what I REALLY wanted! ^^ and yeah book of dragons looks stupid just by looking at the cover XD. Hey, would you mind asking him to come over here? I was gonna send him a YouTube PM but it seems like you beat me to it XD.

Yup same writers! OMG that really made me feel much better XD. I hope he registers here. If he does, it would be one of the best days in my whole life, to actually meet a creator of my favorite movie (though I don't know what part of the movie/short he's working on).

WOO! oh man im soooo happy! looks like this year is gonna make up for *shudders* last year. I WASTED THRE FREAKING QUARTERS OF LASTYEAR WAITING FOR THE FREAKING STUPID DVD!!!!!!!!!! THATS ALL I DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grr. but now this year i have got a holiday, a new HTTYD book, MANY new HTTYD special things, AN ONLINE GAME!, I got Minecraft AND IT IS ALLL AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! happy Sunbun is happy.

Hey Oneill, did ya invite him then? If you don't feel like it, I can give it a try XD. He can get us out of our many confusions. Except that we won't be able to ask hi questions that can spoil what's gonna happen in the movie/series/short.
Hey, and a questio to all. The upcoming online game, I it on the Internet? If so, do you NEED to buy the shorts in order to play it?

He said he'd check out the boards and answer any questions that won't violate his NDA (as you rightfully suspected). So I take that as a yes?
Not sure what the bundled game is all about, though I do believe those cards that are included have a unique product key, so you'll probably have to buy the pack.

Lol, if it were possible I would ask him EVERYTHING about the upcoming stuff, not caring that it would spoil it . So ummm... I did warn him that registering on this board might bring about a swarm of worshipers, so idk, we'll see. |
