I figured out how to load whole levels into the Unity editor: Which means that I'm now able to export the whole world meshes, as someone requested some pages ago. However, I can't really distribute the models by myself anymore. I've already received a takedown request from DWA for the models uploaded on Sketchfab, which isn't really surprising. But I also don't want to get into legal trouble for distributing copyrighted models. Instead, I'm working on the tools that extract the resources out of the game files now. They're not trivial to use, but at least the tools themselves should be legal. And they will probably work with almost all Unity-based games, not just Wild Skies. I also found out who developed the game. It's actually a Brazilian studio called Aquiris Game Experience, not Cartoon Networks. I thought that may be interesting. 喔,居然找到了wild skies dragons的设定图集,真是帮了大忙了 谢谢!Thank you! Google translate says: So I think the models were a help for you.

Compared to other games, SoD's version of Berk seems to come much closer to the movie version: Let's see what I can do with that...

And here's a comparison of Toothless' model in Wild Skies and School of Dragons: It's obvious that both are based on the same model, but there are some small differences. The WS mesh is more detailed than the SoD one, except for the wings. And the SoD version uses the "clawed wings" variant, like the console version of the first game. On the other hand, the SoD textures have a higher resolution (1024x1024 instead of 512x512).

Oh well, this thread is turning into a monologue... I hope anyone will read this at least. Anyway, I love the new cycles wireframe option in Blender 2.68: Finally clean wireframe renderings without weird hacks.

New pics i hadnt seen XD Anyways, that looks pretty cool And Pretty interesting comparison with the models there, although the wild skies model still clearly remains as the most detail. Although, i think the one from SoD is the movie model (They said they'd obtained models from the show/movie, but converted them into lower polygon models). I just think it is, because the jaw doesnt look that deep like it is in the show. Although, it has claws on the tip of the wings, so...it could probably be the older model they had. Is the SoD model poseable as well?

Dude could you make a small tutorial (if legal) on how to port models because these blew my mind! If not, perhaps the name of the program ,if used.

I used a smplified program called 3D Ripper DX and managed to take the Toothless model from Activision′s game , but i am definitely going to try it your way. Here and here are Blender files. But could you tell me how to use the unpacker and script because I am pretty new to all of this.Im asking this because textured Wild Skies models appear transparent in Blender and i cant find a way to turn it off so far.And if you will post a detailed tutorial, please make it step-by-step.

If you previously downloaded the models from here, I think it's better to help you with the transparent textures of the Wild Skies models, because extracting them with the script really isn't easy, as mentioned before.

Where do they appear transparent? In the viewport or when rendered? Do you have a sceenshot of Blender when the models are loaded?

I see, that's also a mesh captured with 3DRipperDX. I'll send you a PM.
