"Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third"
just reading that makes me think, where there others named Hiccup in his family's history?
If his name states he's the third Hiccup, what were the other hiccups like?

oh i know the two other Hiccup were upset with dragons just like Hiccup the third Hiccup the first want the first one to ride on a dragon's back Hiccup the second was also amazing and also like Hiccup the third sadly *crying* he had a tragry ending and was kill by his own father:
they have some silmailr
1. all name Hiccup
2. all Dragon Trainer
3. all think that dragon should be set free
4. all from the same blood
5. last and most important all have loyal dragons (the first: wodenfangs the second: Furious the third: everyone know him Toothless)
if it's complex hear Hiccup the second history in the 8th book how to break a dragon's heart and Hiccup the first history in the 9th book how to steal a dragon sword
this only in the books i'm not sure about the movie

They just took the name from the book i suppose.
We might find out about the others in some episode or upcoming movie i have no idea.
i doubt it though.
