I've got the 2nd-wave (DVD-release time frame) Toothless and Monstrous Nightmare figures. Me being a huge dork, when I noticed how well sculpted they were, I ended up enhancing the paint jobs to try and bring out the detail in the sculpts. Not sure if any of the before pictures are online, but I think I have some after shots of both of them. (Seems I don't have them online yet though; I'll go fix that.) Toothless was really easy and only took me a couple hours tops, but the Nightmare, Sven, was a lot more complicated and thus took me easily twice that long. If they bring out more toys to go with the TV show, I'd like to get a Nadder--I actually think it'd be fun to enhance the paint on, though that job would be as complicated if not more so than the Nightmare was. But man, would that turn out cool! EDIT: Found *some* photos, but not nearly as many finished ones as I would like. Sadly both figures are in storage at the moment so it'll be a while before I can snap new ones. Sven before, as he's got the most drastic change: And, if you'll excuse the the doll presence, Sven and Toothless after: The repaint was definitely fun to do; if anyone here is feelin' crafty and has figures floating around, I'd recommend trying it.

you dont see it but the RED DEATH is behind the AN-124 plane kinda tinkering with the depth of field and macro lenses. this was shot with one of my school's yearbook cameras (Canon Rebel XS, with EF 70-210 F4 telemacro). RD eating a Piper Cherokee D: one of the Mini gronkles with the RD compared with the piper. (1/200 th scale) (my current camera [kodak z8612] dosn't have a good macro feature :/) this prove the RD toy maybe 1/200 scale too XD

I love that shot of the Red Death eating the plane! Between the scale, and the kind of retro feel of that plane, it makes me think of an old 50's sci-fi movie. "Run, don't walk! It's like nothing you've ever seen! Big enough to eat a dragon, tough enough to eat a plane, fierce enough to destroy a fleet of ships! It's. . . THE RED DEEEAAATH!" *cue overly dramatic music* you do really good paint mods. you should help me paint a "official" model airliner in honer of toothless and hiccup XD Aw, thanks! I think though what most people who do ita-models use is water-slide decals rather than paint. Hunting down decal paper that'll work in a normal home printer can take a little hunting, but I've seen some lovely results come out of it.
