TRUE T11, very true. The kids will overlook it and just think it's cool, and it's meant for kids. And the adults can appreciate how COOL it is to see something like this. Nitpickers... can move to the side. It's a kid's series, not an educational series. XD
I am amazed by the design itself actually, Dreamworks went all out for intricacy here, they really did their homework.

Man, the likes of the upcoming TV series being awesome are just getting better and better. Especially if this clockpunk thing takes off, and just think of how cool that's gonna look in the sequel! I can only imagine all the things Hiccup is gonna invent...probably some modified ideals from the books will come back, and based off what MozartMeerkitten said there's quite a lot to choose from.

I think They threw historical fact out the window when the DRAGONS came into things. Haha! And hey! Atleast they aren't involving ancient Romans!!! Silly book three... XD
And I think I'm starting to feel more optimistic about this Httyd franchise they've got going on!

Maybe not exactly in the way we think of them, but evidence suggests that they did exist. And Romans were around when Vikings were.

Yeah, but Vikings certainly weren't RIDING them. And yes Romans and Vikings were around at the same time. But not the ANCIENT Romans and MEDIEVAL Vikings. Those were completely different times.

Nooo, the vikings have been around since the ancient Romans. Who do you think inhabited the parts of Europe that the Romans didn't? They did fight against people to make their empire that big. I think that it is logical to assume that since the vikings went everywhere that the ancient Romans and Vikings met.

Nomad tribes? - The Europe was inhabited about 30 000 years before the Roman empire..... The Roman empire never lived to see them.... cuz the (Western) empire collapsed in 700 AD and Viking era was around 700 - 1000 AD.... of course the Eastern empire survived to 1400 AD but when the West collapsed the East weakened... Ancient Romans encountered many barbaric tribes such as Gauls and other celtic tribes. Vikings mainly lived in Scandinavia (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland) E.g not in Finland. and from their home villages they organized raids to other lands e.g English coast or Holland....(Easy targets like small fishing villages). And when they didn't rob people, they trade with them.
