LOVE Finding Nemo's soundtrack! <333 Some of my all-time favorite movie soundtracks (as a whole) include: The Chronicles of Narnia scores (for both LWW and PC) by Harry Gregson-Williams = amazing GOD of composers How to Train Your Dragon by John Powell, also total composing amazingness all rolled into one human being (threw it in anyway > ) On the vein of John Powell, Kung Fu Panda also has a great soundtrack which was co-composed by The Almighty Hans Zimmer The music from National Treasure, especially the first film, are notable, composed by Trevor Rabin Ratatouille's music has always been one of my fave soundtracks EVAR, composed by Michael Giacchino whom I love forever WALL-E by Thomas Newman. The end. <333 Unfortunately that's all I have on my iPod (plus my overall movie exposure is almost zilch), but I'm trying to think of some others that I really like... The Phantom of the Opera (the one with Gerard Butler) is win. Up had a beautiful set of music (though I could never get much into it, for some reason) - which amazingly won an Oscar last year just for being awesome. I enjoy a few tracks from John Powell's score to United 93 - great music for writing upsetting, emotional pieces. I can share that from experience. Blah. I'm really drawing a blank right now. ._________. But yeah, as for favorite standalone movie scores, I'll have to post a list later, when I can make a decent sort of list. WITH YT LINKS, YES. 8DD red

If you're looking for a more contemporary composition, John Corigliano's score for "The Red Violin" is beautiful yet disturbing at the same time. The movie is rated R, but only because of a few seconds of... *ahem* during the entire film. If you're over like 14, watch it. Also has Samuel Jackson in it, though no, he isn't tired of these "monkey-biting" snakes.
