Avalon nodded fervently, "Of course, I have so much work ahead of me! The sooner the better." She smiled brightly and straightened herself up.
Then she looked up at Sloane and began to twitch nervously, "I'd rather walk if you don't mind, it's not that I don't trust him, I'm sure if you ride him he's a very good and safe flier... It's just, heights and myself don't go together very well."

Valkyrie raised her brows at Avalon's refusal to take a ride on Sloane...who in the world hung around dragons and was scared of heights? To her, it had always seemed like oil and water...two completely different things that just didn't mix. But again, who was she to judge? All the black-haired Viking could elicit in response was a light shrug, and she tapped two fingers to Sloane's side again.
"Alright, whatever. Sloane!"
The battle-scarred dragon grunted, peering down on his master with a single, pale blue eye.
"To Berk...without us." She traced a light "B" on Sloane's side with the same two fingers. "We will meet you there...and stay away from Elder Havoc."
Sloane nodded and spread out his enormous wings as Valkyrie turned to Avalon. "You may want to find something to grab onto...when Sloane takes off his wind has been known to knock grown men down." She turned and scooped up her battle-hammer, hooking her arm around a thick branch as the sky around them suddenly grew dark, a burst of air nearly slamming them down and sideways as the enormous war dragon began his ascent. They remained that way for a good few minutes, Valkyrie remaining as motionless as possible, even when her helmet flew from her head and rolled into the clearing, leaving her hair to whip wildly around her face.
Once Sloane had flown a good distance away, Valkyrie calmly righted herself, picked up her helmet, and shouldered her battle hammer, beckoning over her shoulder to Avalon.
"This trail used to be a sheep path...flocks from the village would come here with their shepherds daily so they could eat the meadowflowers..." She turned over her shoulder. "...What are you waiting for? Berk's down this way...come on!"
