Name: Valkyrie "Val" Havoc
Age: 19
Hair: Jet black, always pulled back in a braid.
Eyes: Green
Height: 5' 4''
Weight: 145 lbs.
Gender: Female
Species: Very much a Viking.
Occupation: Being a sarcastic wench.
Voice: Janeane Garafalo (clip to come)
Description: Valkyrie looks like any other well-trained, stubborn, reckless Viking teenager; warts and all. Her upper body is well toned from training with her father's heavy weaponry, and her legs are built for running with full armor. Her black hair is usually hidden under a silver helmet, which bears not the horns of the typical Viking, but an eagle's wings; meant as a nod to The Valkyries (women who served in Norse mythology as guides to Valhalla and as lovers of Norse heroes). Some say that her eyes resemble those of a dragon's, and her look is very intimidating. Valkyrie is one of those people who can make you pee your pants just by staring at you hard enough.
Demeanor: Headstrong, reckless, stubborn, and impulsive, Valkyrie rushes blindly into battle when provoked...and trust me, it does not take much to provoke her. She can pick a fight with almost anyone she meets and as a result can be extremely difficult to get along with...that is, unless you enjoy getting smashed in the face with a hammer as a twisted "hello".
Valkyrie is a very independent being who rebels against any sort of higher authority, preferring to call her own shots and be her own boss. Even when she was training to fight, she would rather beat the teacher down with her own style of fighting than using his techniques to bring down wooden dummies. Rumor has it that she used to break into Gobber's dragon pens to wrestle bare-handed with Gronckles, but this has never been proven.
The only thing that keeps Valkyrie in check and calms her down enough to be considered manageable to society is her dragon Sloane, who was captured by her father and given to her as a coming of age gift when she turned 16.
Abilities/Weapons:
Her hammer and a dragon-tooth dagger, which she brags that the blade of said dagger came from the Green Death herself. She also has a shield with the imprint of an albatross spreading its wings, which correlates to her "mature" Viking name, Valkyrie the Wanderer.
Disadvantages: Valkyrie's impulsiveness often gets her into trouble, and she has had enough breaks and sprains to prove it. She's a smart individual, but she often throws her intelligence out the window during a battle to "think with her fists". A major accident in the dragon pens also left her with an injured leg that seizes up at random moments, temporarily disabling her in battle.
History: Valkyrie was born in the village of Berk to Vanessa and Wodin Havoc; her mother being a huntress and her father a warrior and a member of the Berk Council of Elders. As a young girl, Valkyrie preferred to wrestle with the boys rather than take up any of the quieter hobbies of a Viking lady, which forced Wodin to consider the risky move of signing her up for a warrior training class. She proved to be a fast-learning (though arguementative) fighter, and by the time she was 14 she was out with the rest of the mature Viking warriors; training native dragons and fighting fiercely against ones who still threatened the villagers.
When she had turned 16 (and she was considered a "mature" warrior by her mentors and the Council of Elders), her father gifted her with Sloane, a peculiar species of dragon not native to Berk (even though he had been born there), and Valkyrie began training the fierce war dragon to carry a rider. Even after a active childhood training every sort of dragon willing to be domesticated by the Vikings; Valkyrie was, at first, exasperated because of Sloane's mistrust in her. But as she spent more time with the old dragon, the more she began to understand him and the events he had had to live through. Better yet, whenever Valkyrie spent the day with Sloane, she came home in a much calmer, agreeable state of mind, which temporarily tamed her into becoming a little less troublesome with her fellow villagers.
Stuff:
Her trademark helmet, hammer (strapped to her back or in her hand, one of those two places), her dagger, and shield.
