Quick note: I've debated on posting this for a very long time due to the fact that he is directly related to two main characters from the film. I want it to be said that I have no intention of forcing his story as canon upon other RPers; he just happens to be one of my better, more developed OCs that I'd like to roleplay with. I really hope this won't be a problem, and if there's anything that needs to be changed, please inform me.
Since he only exists sometime after the film, I'll probably be making an RP that takes place 18 years or so after the film so there's no confusion in other RPs. Also, I don't plan on using him in any of the ongoing RPs.

Name: Rowan Thorston
Date of birth: January 7
Age: 17
Hair: Platinum blonde; long and stringy
Eyes: Light blue
Height: 5' 11", but he has horrible posture so he stands a bit shorter than that
Weight: 156 lbs.
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Occupation: Your typical meat-eating, quick-tempered, stubborn Viking; but he lends a hand wherever help is needed
Voice: For the moment, Shia LeBeouf, but I might change it. (More the beginning of this clip as opposed to the end, and there's a bit of language in a few places.)
Description: (You can refer to the posted picture below)
Demeanor: For the most part, Rowan is very laid-back and chill about things, but it doesn't take very much to make him angry. He's quick-witted and has a great sense of humor, and a lot of times is also very sarcastic. He has the tendency to not only get into trouble, but to cause it as well, to the entire village's chagrin and annoyance. He has a big mouth and is not afraid to say what he thinks, which oftentimes results in the disastrous.
Abilities/Weapons: Rowan is an extremely skilled fighter and is great with weapons. He was taught from a young age to fight by Stoick the Vast himself, who took him under his wing and trained him for combat. Normally he doesn't have to use these skills, as dragons are befriended more than they are fought these days, but occasionally a monster from outside the island threatens the village, or while on quests exotic and savage dragons will attack, and Rowan can put those skills to work.
Unlike most Vikings, who take the typical 'act first, ask questions later' approach, Rowan is sharp-minded and thinks things through before executing them. He is also excellent at catching fish both by hand and with proper fishing equipment.
For weapons, he has a sword, shield, and hammer all carefully designed and crafted by Hiccup. His sword isn't a very long one, but rather a smaller, sturdier design more suited for his blunt swings and heavy arm. The shield is the size and shape of most Viking shields, but what makes it unique is the fact that Hiccup carved out and painted two identical Night Furies - placed back-to-back on the center of the shield - onto the front, sitting atop a brightly-colored compass motif that was painted onto the shield itself.
Disadvantages: While sharp-minded, Rowan is often very clumsy, but that's slowly improving with practice. He has horrible temper issues and can get very angry very easily, which isn't always good news for the person he's mad at. When angry like that, he usually acts upon emotion and abandons common sense. He's also quite cocky sometimes, still very much immature (though still somewhat more mature than most boys his age), and worries too much about how people view him. He falls into laziness quite often, which usually requires a good push and shove from his mother to get him moving again.
History: Rowan Thorston was born on the island of Berk to Astrid Hofferson and Tuffnut Thorston after a long and complicated series of events. (If you want the full story, I can PM it.) With his parents not being married, he was raised between the two of them and has a very mutual relationship with them. He spent far more time in the company of Hiccup (whose tender-hearted and affectionate nature slightly rubbed off on him), as well as his aunt Ruffnut, who absolutely loves spending time with him.
He learned the basics of fighting as a toddler from Hiccup's father, Stoick, who's always treated him like some sort of grandson. Since then, he's become a fighter nearly as good as Stoick himself, although far more clumsy most of the time. He has gone on quests with the men of the village since childhood, and thus very acquainted with ship repair, fishing, survival, and savage dragon fighting techniques.
Stuff: Iron helmet, a wide belt with pouches sewn onto it (for carrying things like a dagger, compass, and other small useful items), weapons (mentioned above), hand-crafted boots, a loose tunic and pants, and a heavy fur jacket.
