However you want to spell his name, here be the statistics board of the group, always ready to pop out the facts on any given dragon!! Very strange and awkward, he stills plays a big part of the group, XDD So tell what ya think!

+5 Speed.
I just know if I tried to play Dungeons and Dragons against him I would get my butt handed to me. XD Odd though, his character description says he's rather dim but he seems very smart in the movie... I wonder why?

Good question. I wonder if they mean to be "book-smart but lacking everywhere else?" We don't see too much of him, maybe the book on dragons was the only thing he really knew.
Man, I wish we knew more! I liked that guy!

Perhaps... I have the suspicion that he read it more than seven times, given how much he seems to remember from their stats.
He was actually pretty cool, I wish he had a bit more screen time!

I love this guy. He's easily made it to being one of my top three characters, despite not having much screen time. I think the reason being so, out of all the characters, he seemed to be the most like me(well, maybe with a little bit of Hiccup mixed in as well). I remembered that I would often use role-playing terms in high school and all of my friends would give me long, blank scares. And the book smarts. Yes, the book smarts.
He was also a pretty amusing character. I loved the bit where he fell off the Gronckle and then preceded to get crushed by it, yet simply says "I'm okay!".

I was playing the game for the DS... apparently Fishlegs LOVES Viking legends and lore, but is very easily tricked. So he really is actually a smart person given the correct context. And apparently he's great at building obstacle courses!
LOL "Less ok..."

XD
I liked... hmm, was it Fishlegs' first lines in the film? How every time Gobber mentioned a dragon, he gave a statistic... and then Gobber just turns around and goes "Will you stop that?!" or whatever it was he said (Jeez, my memory sucks)... I lol'ed.
Heh, it just wouldn't be a kids movie with a big monster if they didn't have the "I'm ok!" gag.

Heh, it just wouldn't be a kids movie with a big monster if they didn't have the "I'm ok!" gag. Aaaand for some reason, I just remembered the "I'm okay!...I'm still okay!" bit from "Road to el Dorado." XD (Except that had to be added in at the last second, because...well, without the second part, ah...I'll stop now.)
My opinion? FishLegs is a total gamer. XD The tabletop RPer, video-game nerd (had they been around, anyway)...he'd probably have played them all. It's like dragon-training was a big game and the Guide was the player's manual. Also, you know who he kinda reminds me of, now that I said all that? A more hygienic version of Skull, from "Monster House," with his knowledge on "monsters and the supernatural."

Eh heh.. don't tell him I said this, but Fishlegs almost reminds me of meh Sora. They're both insanely pudgey (9 forum members know who Sora is.. those who don't: he is my internet boyfriend person. We are 9 forum canon ^^)

I thought Fishlegs was funny, but I like him a lot better in the book.

My preference for Fishy is a bit split. I loved how snarky and cowardly he was in the books at times, and how he was a berserker.
But I also like this not so cowardly and very nerdy Fishlegs in the movie. It's a toss up!

They truly have expanded a lot on Fishlegs in the ROD but still not nearly enough they need to have a background story episode for him. like maybe an expanded version of his relationship with hiccup hmmm.
