NOTE; Please do not join until we say it is open. Thank you. It was strange really, having to walk on a makeshift leg, but he had to get used to it. A lost leg was better than loosing everything; he had been lucky. Very, very, lucky. Hiccup sighed running a hand over his hair and leaning on a nearby dragon pen. He examined his new leg, twisting it gently to get a better look since he hadn't had the time to look it over after the recent defeat of the Red Death. If anything, it looked different but fine. Hrm. He still didn't trust it, and it felt uncomfortable. Maybe asking Gobber for some advice would do him some good. Careful not to stumble over himself, Hiccup took small steps towards the pen's exit. It was afternoon, and most of the dragons were at the training grounds, and the rest were either sleeping or eating away at the daily catch near the docks.
Hiccup yawned as he exited the dragon pen. He hasn't been getting enough sleep either, taking care of Toothless and what not, and then there was Astrid and the rest of his new friends. They were always wanting to learn more things about the different species of dragons around the island. There were a lot, too many for Hiccup to count, but he tried his best to teach. He kept walking, keeping an eye out for any sign of Gobber.

Watching the flowing water with his large jade eyes, Toothless sat by the water's edge as still as a statue. This time for sure. He wasn't about to let some fish show him up.
A flicker under the water's surface caught the Night Fury's attention, and in a quick snap, the dragon's head impaled itself into the shallow pool. After a few seconds of thrashing, he brought his head back out and shook like a dog, while chewing the Atlantic cod he had just trapped in his jaws. After swallowing, the dragon smacked his lips a few times and turned, making his way back up to the village.
He watched the shimmering grass beneath his paws as he walked back up the slanting hill. He wondered where his pet Viking was. Even at the thought of him Toothless gave a small discontented growl; his viking had lost his leg in the battle against the dragon behemoth, and it was hard for him to walk. Toothless slumped onto the ground once he reached the village's edge. What if Hiccup got hurt? Or worse? Huffing, the dragon bounded off in search of his Viking.
*I think I have a basis for a plot. Toothless is trying to find Hiccup and becomes worried about him, while the entire time Hiccup is barely missed by him over and over again as he's going around doing his normal chores with his leg replacement. Toothless will find him eventually and can learn that Hiccup doesn't need Toothless to be over-protective of him, but doesn't mind it anyway.*

Hiccup found Gobber just near the cooking space of the village where most vikings hung out. Mostly men, drinking away and laughing about old stories of how dragons, especially the Night Fury used to scare them out of their pants. He smiled at the thought, and imagined a grown viking running away from his harmless Night Fury. Hiccup blinked his eyes, snapping his thoughts back to reality and looked over his shoulder at an approaching figure. His blood boiled, and his heart skipped a beat. It was Astrid. Astrid! Hiccup turned, fully and a little too clumsily as he stumbled over and nearly fell. A soft laugh escaped Astrid's lips as she steadied him right and brushed off dust from his furry vest, "Hey you." "Hey," Hiccup almost flushed. Almost; he had to keep control over himself. He rubbed his arm to try and cover his shyness. Even when he and Astrid were officially a couple, he still couldn't help the fact that every time she came into view, his legs--err--leg would melt. Sigh. "I... haven't seen you for a while." Astrid shrugged, brushing her loose bangs out of her eyes and behind her ear, "Been doing chores, you almost done?" Hiccup shook his head, and she nodded understandingly, "Right, well, I guess I should go find your dragon before he creates trouble. I saw him by the beach just on my way here, I'll go fetch him." She waved, before walking off in the direction of the docks. "More chores," Hiccup rolled his eyes, "Love it." And off he went. OOC; That's fine, it's a good plot actually I'm up for it!
