Actually I'm a wuss and quite fancy, but I just like throwing random catchphrases everywhere.

So yeah, I've been looking ALL OVER *coughgooglecough* for a HTTYD forum, I finally found one in a journal of someone I follow on DA, when I least expected it!

So yeah, here I am! Woooooo~

HTTYD is awesome and all that crap, you probably know that already, so I'm going to save you my fanboy essay counting 5 pages of drool and squeeing, but I am going to introduce myself! haHA!

HELLO! I'm Wessel Meijer, or better known as Czarine or Snakebite on the interwebs. I'm 16 years old and live in the Netherlands (of all places.... eeeegh!). Here's some stuff I like:

• Music (I listen to/produce most variations of Dance/House music, I play piano and I'm a clarinettist in an orchestra and I own a fancy collection of music).
  
• Art (I like drawing and digital graphics, I'm aiming for the EMMA (European Media Master of Arts) education in Animation at the art acadamy HKU in the Netherlands and I do graphic design. Stuff I make has been bought by Heineken, for example).
  
• Watersports (I like skimboarding, I've attended to the Dutch Skimfest 4 years in a row now and I absolutely adore it. I also do kitesurfing since 2 years, which is also a quite amazing sport).
  
• Gaming (it's basically the only contact I still have with old friends I moved away from 7 years ago. We barely see eachother anymore, which is sad, but the occasional fun lives on through the games we play. Who says gaming works isolating in a social environment?!).
  
• And lots of other stuff you can't be arsed to listen to.

I could think of a few reasons. This is a proboards forum and getting that high up in the google results is a bigger challange than getting a paid domain there. A lot of directories don't accept sub-sites (name.domain.com, 'name' being the sub-site, 'domain' being the main site, in this forum's case: Proboards), so you don't get listed there. Google uses directories to rank the results, but that's not the only thing it uses.

If you mention/advertise your forum on many other sites the Google Spider occasionally crawls through, you will also end up higher on the result rankings. The more of your forum Google can find on the internet, the higher you will end up in the results.

This process can take a while though. New sites normally never even end up on the first page. This process could take up to a few months.

Correct me if I'm wrong though. This is based on personal experiences and stuff I've read...

I must spread the HtTYD love. I just can't help myself. And speaking of dA, I actually joined when I saw the new layout submitted to one of the HtTYD groups. =P It all comes back around, doesn't it?
