So that we don't have to have a thread for every anime in existence, and also so we can get a sense of what everyone likes.
SO!
What are your favorite anime series?
I'll go first =)
Since I couldn't possibly narrow down my top picks, I'll just share them all. My favorites, in no particular order, are Code Geass, Fullmetal Alchemist, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, Death Note (the manga more than the anime though), YuYu Hakusho, Junjou Romantica, Earthian (only the manga), and K-ON! Others I enjoy are Ouran High School Host Club, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro, Yuugiou, Umineko no Naku Koro ni, Cardcaptor Sakura, Kyou Kara Maou, Wolf's Rain, and Princess Tutu.
I enjoy most genres but I like shounen/seinen titles a bit more, I think. And, uh...yeah, didn't expect to have so many favorites XD but these are the ones I can (and have) watched over and over and over again and still love them.

UH, oh man, I need to CHOOSE? Hm...
Lucky Star, Higuarashi, Umineko, Saiyuki (all three), xxxholic, Hellsing Ultimate, Paranoia Agent, Death Note (like you, more into the manga), Case Closed (or Detective Conan), Gravitation, Loveless, .hack//SIGN, .hack//ROOTS, Chi's Sweet Home (haven't seen the sequel), Cowboy Bebop, Read or Die, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, and Ookami Kakushi (I don't know why).
I love moe, shoujou, shounen, and seinin manga and anime more. Horror, comedy, and slice of life are my genres of choice.

LOVELESSSSSS The anime or the manga? Or both? Have you read any of Yun Kouga's other stuff? She's my favorite mangaka of all time *w*
Also <333 for Gravitation. That was my first shounen-ai series ;w; I have fond memories from it XD
Lucky Star~ that anime is so cute! I love the opening (made myself a couple of ringtones from it too. Nothing like waking up to the sound of Motteke Sailor Fuku! XD)

LUCKY STAR IS ADORABLE I HAVE THE WHOLE ANIME SERIES, ALL THE MANGA RELEASED IN AMERICAN, AND AWAIT THE NOVELS.

OMG YOU READ EARTHIAN I LOVE YOU. I'm currently reading Gestalt right now (just got volumes 3-6) But yes, Earthian has to be just about my favorite manga EVER, so much so that I actually bought the manga in Japanese >////> The only other person I know who's read it is my best friend, and that's cause I got her volume 1 for Christmas when came out in English
Y'know, funny story about how I got into Gravi. A friend of mine had it listed as her knew favorite series and without knowing anything about it I bought volume one. Read the back and somehow didn't register the "hit shounen-ai series" advert on the back until after I bought. I got back to the car and started to read it and then it hit me what the series was about XDDD But I seriously started it thinking it was a manga about a band.
Niiice~ One day when I have monies a-plenty I will get Lucky Star. Working on getting the manga, but none of the bookstores around have volume 2 =\ which irks me, since I'm only on 1 atm. Which randomly reminds me to pick up the next few volumes of SZS while they have them in stock XD;

Since, for a change, "choosing my favourite" seems to mean "picking the top two dozen", it all makes the question easier! ;D Madlax (mom loved it too and its sountrack is just beyond amazing...) Shakugan no Shana <3 Scrapped Princess (surprizing mix of both "medieval" fantasy and SF) Suzumiya Haruhi no Yûutsu Kanon (only anime having earned an actual tear from me... and both mom and grandma loved it too!) Elemental Gelad Kaze no Stigma .hack//SIGN (have yet to finish it though...) Kanokon ^^" Spice and Wolf (deeply boring or wonderful depending on who's watching...) Lucky Star (don't have many french fansub for it, what a shame) Ef - A tale of memories (oh this soundtrack...). I may forget some, but here's a ground for discussion. ;D

Oh, I'm currently watching Elemental Gelade ^^ still in debate over how exactly one is supposed to pronounce it, but... My favorite character so far is Rowen (though I think I was partial to him the moment I heard his name XD)
Ah, Spice and Wolf looks nice imo, but yeah, I personally found it a bit......we watched the first 5 episodes in anime club a few years ago and I think I zoned out about half of it, sad to say ;;

Yes around here we're even not sure how to spell Elemental Gelade. (French R and L are just the same thing in Japanese...) Loled at Rowen's name part, but he also is such a fun character he deserves to be your favourite. ^^ Spice and Wolf is... Well, a lot of talking, trading, and not so much action or romance or whatever usual plot one likes. I for one have a weakness on fox's/wolf's tail and ears, which helps smoothing the feeling of boredom. ^^" And Horo just has this character of her own, at the same time wise and childish, proud yet careless; centuries of experience working for whims. I remember having said about some series that it's hard not to dump it for half its length, but if you endure it long enough it'll turn into a jewel in the end. I think it's one of them. Rather harsh on the first part tough. And yet you may end up disagreeing entirely and lynching me for having wasted your watching time... But I'm still looking forward to the second season. ^^

I'm simple...I like my Pokemon, Digimon and Dragoball.
Other than that, Haruhi Suzumiya and Gurren Lagann are my tops.

I really don't care for anime. I only really can stomach the first three seasons of Digimon, Zoids, Interstella 5555, and the Ghibli movies. My boyfriend's showing me Bleach though, and it's not that bad.

I normally don't watch much anime. I like the art and all, but I don't see many animes that are really worth watching. 1 Movie that does really stand out to me is 5 Centimeters Per Second. Nice story, and STUNNINGLY beautiful. The art is just amazing! And so is the smooth animation! Trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=4OSboGn2Kdk

At the moment, it's one called Ghost Hunt. I started reading the manga for that one, it's pretty good.

I started reading the manga for that one, it's pretty good. The trouble I had with the manga is that in the first few chapters it's a little difficult to tell some of the characters (Mai and John) apart from each other. It gets much easier after watching the anime, though. I'll cut myself short here, because I could literally spend hours chattering about it.
