((Anyone's welcome to join! ^_^))
It was one of those very rare nice days in Berk. Not a cloud in the sky and the sea was actually calm for once. Not the kind of day one wanted to spend stuck inside fixing clothing. And so Arytha had come outside.
She had planned to take a ride on Labyrinth, since the day was so nice, but it seemed that the dragon had decided to randomly disappear. She had probably taken a fly on her own, which Arytha wasn't too happy about. The one time Laby wasn't clinging to the female viking and it was the one time Arytha wanted to be around her. And so Arytha was lying sprawled out on the grass in front of her house, looking up at the sky and trying to make pictures in the clouds out of boredom. What good was having a dragon companion if she wasn't going to be around when one wanted her to be?

Mordar was sailing through the air, and looking at the activity on the ground. Not much had happened lately, so he decided to swoop in lower and inspect the area.
On his low flyby, he thought he saw a dragon, but payed it no mind and kept on going.
He landed somewhere in the distance, and looked at Arytha. He was sure she wouldn't see him, mostly..

"Certainly is nice out." Torunn hummed happily to herself as she carried a basket of clothing out of her house and down a path. The cloths were ready to be hung out to dry and today was a perfect day. She headed for the open field, on the way passing by Arytha. The much older girl was in front of her house, laying on the grass. Torunn stopped in front of her, giving the older a shy smile.
"Hello Arytha." She said still smiling, but with her shy tone Torunn wondered if she had been heard at all.
The young girl was completely oblivious to the Night Fury that wasn't far off.

Arytha had not seen the Night Fury land not far away. As a matter of fact, she had nearly fallen asleep in the afternoon sun when a voice caught her ear. Popping her eyes open, she sat up and blinked a few times before resting her gaze on Torunn. A soft smile came across her face, one that could barely be seen.
"Hello, Torunn. What's up?" she asked the younger girl. Well, if she couldn't ride on Labyrinth, she may as well strike up a conversation with someone, right? Better than nothing.

Torunn looked down at the basket of cloths she was carrying. "Nothing much." She said.
As she spoke she shifted her feet, moving them up and down just a bit. Now that she had actually gotten Arytha's attention she had no idea what to do.
"So um...you just enjoying the sun?"
That was a stupid question, but it was the only one in Torunn's head at the moment.

Arytha pulled her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, looking back up at the sky briefly before turning her attention back to Torunn, "Actually I was hoping to take a ride on Labyrinth this afternoon. But it turns out she decided to go out on her own," she said, her voice betraying the fact that she was bored out of her mind. She was the kind of girl who needed to be doing something, not sitting around looking at the sky...
"I was hoping she'd come back so I could fly before going back to work," she said with a sigh, "But it looks like that's not going to happen."

Having gotten a good look at the figures in the distance, Mordar decided to approach them. He was cautious, even though they weren't likely to be a threat.
He picked up to a run and ran towards them quicker, so he could see what was going on with them.
In this way, he hoped not to startle them.

Torunn watched Arytha for a moment, but then looked down at her basket of cloths. The drive to actually finish the task she had been given by her mother was gone now.
She lifted her head. "I'm sorry...if I actually had a dragon I would gladly take you flying...but it seems I'm still skittish for the creatures."
As if summoned by her words, a noise came from behind Torunn. Looking over her shoulder the girl twitched. A dragon was actually coming towards them, and not just any dragon, a Night Fury. Torunn physically twitched.

Mordar closed in on the shapes, which all appeared to be human, and he finally came across the 2. He looked from one to the other, and came to the conclusion that neither appeared to be a direct threat.
He let them look at the scars on his face and over his eye. He also had a usual knack of being a bit of a troublemaker, and maybe wanted to shake them up a little, but for now he restrained and watched them both.

Arytha did jump a little at the arrival of the Night Fury, surprised at the dragon making such an abrupt and sudden entrance. Once it was determined--in her mind anyway--that the dragon wouldn't hurt them, she took a few steps toward the creature and held her hand out hesitantly.
"Hey there, buddy..." she said, her voice soft and shaking just ever so slightly. She knew the dragon wouldn't be able to speak back, but she remembered hearing somewhere that speaking in a soothing voice sometimes helped to get along with the creatures a bit better.

To see Arytha approach the dragon and even...talk to it made Torunn stare in awe. Everyone in the village had started bonding with the dragons, so why did this surprise her? She didn't know.
"T-That's a Night Fury...why is it here?" Torunn asked Arytha. Talking directly to the dragon seemed like a useless thing to do.

Ariytha shrugged, her hand still reaching out toward the dragon, waiting for the creature to make the next move, "I don't know. I've only seen one Night Fury this close and in person and that's...Toothless, I think Hiccup named him," she said. She liked Toothless. If all Night Furies were like that adorable dragon, then the one in front of them could definitely be a friend in the future.

Mordar intently watched, and then, seeing that they didn't intend to harm him, let out a soft noise. He was happy to see that no one was too mean these days.
Although many dragons had had riders, Mordar remained wild, because he liked the independence and thought seeking a rider would bind him to too many commitments.
Thus he stared for a while at them, then snorted and looked around, as if expecting them to produce some food or something of the sort.

Torunn watched the dragon. She wasn't sure she liked one so close to her, even if it didn't show any sign of being a thread. The basket was shifted again, this time being put on the ground.
"That's a bit....strange I suppose." Torunn said looking at Arytha and then the dragon. It looked like the other Night Fury that lived in the village, minus the missing tail fin.

Arytha decided to make the move and try to touch Mordar's forehead with her hand. If the dragon didn't like it, he would tell her so, of this much she was sure.
Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Torunn. Boy did the poor girl ever look scared to death. Arytha remembered being like that around dragons. Then she'd met Labyrinth and everything had changed. She had come to trust the creatures, even had a "way" with most of the ones she met. Now she couldn't imagine life without Labyrinth. Maybe Torunn would be like that one day. But it couldn't be forced, that was for sure.
She watched Mordar, hoping for some kind of sign that the dragon would let her touch him. She wasn't going to hurt him. She just...liked dragons, "It's okay. It's okay," she said softly to the creature, almost as if trying to reassure it.
