Name: Freyja
Age: Dragon equivalent of early- to mid-thirties
Colour: Indigo
Eyes: Iron grey
Height: 6'0
Weight: 200 lbs.
Length: 23 feet
Gender: Female
Species: Dragon (Toxic Nightshade, to be exact)
Occupation: Tracker
Voice: (when speaking in to fellow dragons only, of course) Cree Summer, who played Backarachnia of Transformers: Beast Wars
Description: A long, slender dragon, she is a member of an uncommon group known as the Toxic Nightshades. Freyja carries herself proudly without being (too) stuck-up. She isn't tall, or terribly strong by dragon standards, and is a mostly nocturnal creature. As a result, during the day she is usually found resting somewhere dark. She has yet to find humans in particular (or dragons, for that matter) that she can get any higher level of close to.
Demeanor: Cold and cordial to most, Freyja is calm, proud and distant under normal circumstances. Woe betide anyone who irritates her enough, especially if they've woken her while the sun is high in the sky. She is still perfectly threatening if she wants to be. Freyja does have a soft spot for children and hatchlings that she does her best to hide from others.
Abilities/Weapons: All Toxic Nightshades have deadly, fatal venom that can take down large creatures within twenty minutes. This is why Freyja can hunt the largest fish, and even some dolphins fairly easily, despite her slight build and average strength. Her claws are long and sharp, as she takes great pride in them and keeps them maintained. A very sensitive sense of smell, and excellent eyesight for her nocturnal lifestyle, makes her a talented tracker of her prey.
Disadvantages: She only has average speed, and her hearing leaves something to be desired. For a dragon, these can be major problems that Freyja does her best to get around. No shot number, as her venom is her main weapon, not fire. She cannot assist others in hunting, or share food, as her saliva and teeth contaminate nearly anything organic she touches with them. This is why she only stalks prey not for her own consumption when in hunting parties.
History: Freyja grew up as any dragon would in the nest. The great dragon was unaffected by her poison, meaning that she could often bring it things like dolphins and very large fish she had bitten to keep her in its favour. Freyja participated in plenty of raids, and probably killed at least a few with her venom. She was one of the many who fled when the nest was broken open by the Vikings, and eventually settled in Berk with others. Her past in raiding has been put behind her so she can deal with her current life. Stoick the Vast himself dubbed her "Freyja" in reference to her personality. (The name means "Mistress" or "Lady" in Old Norse.)
Stuff: Hates the colour yellow, as is normal for all Nightshades (Humans and dragons alike are still trying to find out why). She tries to keep this in control, as it can be very irritating to be riled up so easily by just a colour. Excellent babysitter, strangely enough. (Perhaps she can just keep kids in line easily? She does like spending time with hatchlings, and even human young.) She is extremely careful with her venom, very aware of what it could do to someone not of her specific species. Freyja is still trying to adjust to the new life in a village with humans. As one of the more mature, adult dragons, she was very used to the "hive" lifestyle, whether she liked it or not.
