Spoiler alert (I guess)
The director of the movie commented about the ending of HTTYD 3, and that in the end, dragons will somehow go away.
I really hope, they won't go with the idea, but more and more clues are pointing in that direction. Earlier comments of the author, the director, and parts of the second movie had some moments suggesting this.
So, I'm curious, because on the forums, people are saying that the movie has to end this way, because of how the book begins: old Hickup telling stories about a time when dragons lived among them. I've never read the books, and for me, it really seems like an unimportant detail, one that wouldn't change the stories one bit.
So this is why I'm asking. Is the fact that dragons are gone, really that important?

Their going to have to do it in some way. Yes, the movie is going to be darker then the 2nd movie because it is directed to the same audience as the people who watched the first movie. From 7 year old kids to 16 year old teenagers. WOW! In that case, I'm really hoping for a moment where Hiccup really shows his love for Toothless. If he finds a mate, and if Hiccup truly loves him, he should let him go. If that happens in the movie, I will dislike them less because they show imperfect love. Real love.
