Looking down at her hands after a moment she began to idly toy with her fingers while thinking to herself. There was a lot of work to do, and their journey would take a long time. How would they change an entire tribe's way of thinking without actually fighting them on the subject? Well... That was something that perhaps Hiccup would be best at, or someone else from Berk. Ingrid had never done something of that magnitude, she was content to hunt and live off the land by herself, she wasn't used to trying to talk people into things. But maybe with Jorgen she'd be able to make a difference in people. And maybe they could help each other while they were there; she'd make sure he fit into the cove, and he would help her to turn them towards a new way of thinking.
Popping her head up after a second of thought, she smiled, "Simple. Your tribe was wiped out by mainlanders. I found you on the remains of your island, and offered to help you seek revenge by letting you train with the feircest mainlanders I know. Sound reasonable?" She asked as she stood up, stretching her back. Despite being relatively antisocial, she could come up with covers and lies as easily as if they were the truth. How else had she gotten away with sneaking into the forest every day to meet with Tempest? It was trial and error to develop the deceiver's mindset, but well worth it. And more then that, the Icebear warriors of Icebreaker Cove respected revenge more then anything, and would likely take to Jorgen more strongly.

"That is perfect, the best lies always contain a kernel of truth as they say. And it will allow me to improve my fighting too!" Jorgen said with a smile. He would never have guessed that his unpleasant past would come in useful, seeing as his tribe really was wiped out it wouldn't be too hard to act the part. He just needed to imagine that their made up mainlanders were the Island Crusher whenever they were brought up! At least now with a cover story he would be able to avoid too much suspicion, but changing these peoples' minds about dragons was still going to take time. He may be a chief's son but he wasn't exactly the best at completely reversing someone's viewpoint, Jorgen was more used to reaching compromises. He'd have to find a way to convince the people of Icebreaker Cove that dragons weren't enemies, but it won't be an easy task by any stretch. Hopefully he could find some people who are less hateful towards dragons that he could start with before trying to sway the minds of the entire cove.
Standing up, Jorgen gave his armor some final adjustment. "Well then, I suppose that's enough plotting and scheming for the morning. How about we see what's going on in town, after all I need to know what I have to work with if I'm going to help." Jorgen said in a cheery mood. He might as well get some of his positivism out if he's going to have to act vengeful, that and he was genuinely excited to actually see the town. Last time he was here he mostly stayed in the woods while Ingrid attended to her business, but this time he'll get to visit the place and see their culture first-hand. Seeing new places always got him excited, especially if those places had connections to friends of his. He'd have to be sure to keep his curiosity contained in public, one wrong move could be disastrous.

"Exactly, it provides both an excellent cover and a gateway for you to be able to train while you are here," she said with a smile. Picking her cloak up off of the chair, she wrapped it around her shoulders and secured it around her neck snugly, content to be embraced by the black fabric. The stable had a decent amount of food in it for their dragons, and they would be able to get more whenever night fell and the rest of the village was asleep. So, for the day, the dragons would be by themselves. The only thing that was keeping Tempest from freaking out was the fact that they were in Icebreaker Cove, which was probably the safest place on the mainland for humans; it was all built for defense and absolutely everyone knew how to fight to some degree.
Nodding at him, she walked off through the entryway to the main hall, "As good a place to start as any. We should probably check in with the chief, let him know that we will be staying here a while. You can explain your case to him while we're there, if he asks. After that, I can give you a general tour of the town," she suggested, stopping by the front door. The chief was generally a friendly man, but he was also a chief, which meant that anything that happened had to go through him. While he would likely be very welcoming to Jorgen and Ingrid, they would have to run it past him that they were going to be staying in the mansion for the foreseeable future. Though the mansion was Hunter property, it was a crucial part of the town's defenses. In an instance of a raid, it would be better to have everyone know that there were people living in the mansion, rather then getting surprised by their appearance.

Jorgen nodded as he followed Ingrid out the door. "Sounds good. Besides, the chief will be one of the most crucial people to convince in order to get the Cove to accept dragons. I will be good to know what he's like." Jorgen said. He was a little worried about Shock being confined to those stables with Tempest all day, knowing Shock he could probably be the single largest threat to their whole plan here. If Shockstorm got impatient at any point and tried to sneak out, Jorgen doubted it would take long for the people of Icebreaker Cove to recognize a Skrill and to take action. Hopefully Shock could contain himself and just nap like he normally does back on Berk. Jorgen also hoped this chief wasn't too stubborn, as an authority figure and a person of influence in the Cove, his support would go a long way in helping them convince the locals that dragons could be allies. Of course Jorgen doubted it would be easy even under the best circumstances, but knowing what the chief was like would help him plan how to convince the others, and if he could get the chief to like him then even better.

Ingrid closed the door behind them with a swift push before she turned to the path and began on the way down to the village. She nodded at his comment, musing to herself slightly before speaking, "He's a strong man, kind of like Stoic in a manner. I think that Chief Warden is a man more of thought then action, as opposed to Stoic. The Icebear chief must be one who passes a test of mental fortitude and strategy, it isn't just about who is the strongest here. That is how Icebreaker Cove has never fallen to enemies; we fight with our heads as much as our steel," she stated, thinking about how to word it properly. They still valued strength and prowess in combat, but they also focused on combining their intellect with their strength to form a deadly bond. The chief always had to be someone who would consider ideas that others suggested, and determine whether or not they were sound plans, or foolish in nature. That was really where their problem was; they had to convince the chief eventually that their plan was not a foolish one.

Jorgen nodded as Ingrid described the chief to him. "He sounds like a good chief, those who think through their problems have less problems later on. And based on what you just told me, then there is a chance to convince him." Jorgen said. Just from that his hopes for converting the chief went up, someone who thinks first is easier to reason with. If the chief had been the kind that acts first and asks questions later then he might have had to plan some sort of coup to put a more agreeable person in charge, and messing with other peoples' societies like that isn't something Jorgen would like to start doing. Instead he just had to think of a way to prove the benefits of having dragons outweighed the potential dangers, a somewhat easier task than starting a revolution.

Ingrid nodded at his comment, continuing on down the stone path into the village. At that time, only a few people were up and about, and the few who did notice them didn't pay them much attention. Hunters were a relatively common sight to the people of the Cove, considering that a family of them had lived in their village since before it was a true village. This meant that Ingrid was practically invisible to the people who noticed her, and with Jorgen's proximity to her, that invisibility was passed on to him as well. At least, for the time being. As the crowds grew, it would likely become inevitable that he'd be noticed and questioned, so it was prudent to get to the chief's hut as soon as they could get there. Gesturing to one of the bigger buildings in the third highest level of buildings, she started up the steps of the building, "He will be hard to convince, he is stuck in his ways. But there is a chance, and we must take it," she said before pushing open the door and stepping inside.

As they walked through the streets Jorgen noticed that he and Ingrid didn't get a lot of attention, even considering that not many villagers were out yet. He figured it was probably because he was with Ingrid, as a Hunter she was a common and well respected sight and he was her guest. Jorgen was also impressed by the Cove, even though he'd seen it before the organization of the village with defense in mind was astounding, as was the hut that Ingrid pointed out. "Agreed, if there's even the slightest chance then we should take advantage of it, as chief he's the most influential person here and would be invaluable to our cause." Jorgen said before following Ingrid into the building and shutting the door behind him.
