I've been having more thoughts about this trailer, like what it could mean for the movie and for the future of the franchise; been thinking about how things could be great or how things could turn out bad, yada yada. I'm thinking, if I post, I'm just going to ramble on about something unimportant, but if people want to hear my thoughts and analysis, please let me know and I will post. I don't want to feel like I'm boring anyone here, or that I'm over-analyzing something trivial. I need to get a new thing to do rather than sit around and watch the trailer all day. Maybe I should get into RPing?

Overanalysis is never a bad thing. Ever.
Bring on the text-wall.

It's a bit hard to write right now because I'm multitasking, and it's late and I'm starting to get tired. I'll edit this post with content once I get it written, which might not be until tomorrow.

On one hand, it's a shame the leak spread so fast that DWA had to actually work around the leak. On the other hand, we got to take the exclusive out of Apple's hands, which I like. HA! Ditto! Down wit doze Apple bastards! Seriously, I don't think any other DreamWorks franchise has attracted as much paparazzi as HTTYD.

Just some thoughts on the trailer, and the fallout that has occurred because of it, mixed in with some knowledge I have of DWA that some people might not know. (EDIT: I'd like to add that some of this is speculation on my part, but I have based any speculation on facts that can be found easily on the Internet. Any other claims are just my thoughts or viewpoints on the particular topic.) To me, it seems like DWA is throwing everything they have at this movie, and it has the potential to be their biggest movie ever. -They've released the trailer for this movie before *any* trailer or plot synopsis for Mr. Peabody and Sherman, and MP&S comes out three months before HTTYD2! I don't think DWA released a teaser so far before the movie's release date, ever. All signs point to this being their "golden" movie, and perhaps their biggest movie to date. -The trailer has only been up on the official DWA channel for a little over three days, and it already has more than three million views. All three of the Turbo trailers have been up for way longer, months even, and none have as many views as this trailer does. There is literally a *ton* of interest in this film, even by people who aren't fans, and/or haven't seen the first one (as evidenced by all the "What happened to his leg?" posts on YT) -There was initially going to be one more movie between now and when HTTYD2 releases, called Me & My Shadow, but they cancelled production on it and put it back into development. So, where have the animators and everyone else from that movie gone to? Hmm? I'm willing to bet at least some of them have been reassigned to this movie to help with the animation and whatnot. This is definitely going to add to the production costs. -They've created two new pieces of software for this movie; one that makes faces, skin, and textures more realistic, and another that helps make the lighting in each scene more realistic. This stuff takes a lot of time to develop, and I don't imagine it's cheap either. This will be the first DWA movie to use this software, and I think it shows through in the trailer. The water looks incredibly realistic, the lighting clouds look amazing, and the textures of Toothless' skin and Hiccup's flight gear are highly detailed and look great. We are in for one stunning-looking movie. All signs point to this being their biggest and possibly most expensive film production ever. And as long as they don't mess it up, it certainly has the capability to be their most successful too. And we're still 11 months away from release! And we have Defenders of Berk and School of Dragons to tie us fans over until then. If they slowly trickle out (not leak!) information, photos/renderings, short clips, news, anything, over the next 11 months to keep interest in the movie strong, I think it could really help them promote the movie and keep it fresh in everyone's mind. And it'll prevent me and others from going crazy due to no new content for long periods of time.

Anyone know if the music is from something else? I'm transcribing it right now and if it isn't original stuff that seems like a pointless thing to do... Sent from my Nexus 4 using proboards It's called Beyond the Clouds by AudioMachine
