WELL, BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.
Anyway, hi, I'm Sairen (though I answer to Sair a lot.) I lurked/stalked threads on the board for a while and I'm that one girl who has a tendency to TL:DR a lot on theories and character analysis. Mostly I just lurk a lot until I do because that's what I do.
Blame all the English classes, it makes it hard not to read into things.
I absolutely ADORE the movie. Sadly, I didn't see it in theaters and only saw it this past Summer after I read a fanfic and it got me interested in seeing the movie. I ended up watching it in really low quality, then I watched the shorts, and had to buy it on Amazon because I wanted to see it in all it's pretty glory.
I haven't felt compelled to rewatch a movie so much since I was a kid. I just love the relationships, the snarky humor, and just how smart and heartfelt the movie is. And how absolutely beautiful it is and all the little touches it has with deliberate movements.
I also decided I wanted to play Hiccup on the internet, which I do. Took forever because I play in panfandom games, which involves characters being taken from their homes, and it's really hard to rip Hiccup away from Toothless. (I ended up throwing him in a memory loss game.) Which just prompted more analysis, so I kind of put myself into a vicious cycle with that.
I'm working on some fanfics. One is a major what if story of what would happen if Hiccup wasn't the one to find Toothless that was inspired by a fanart. Hopefully I'll find a way to end the intended oneshot after twenty pages. Have a few more ideas I want to play with as well. Some are AUs because I adore AUs, and some in universe and more examining possibilities in someone's character.
Also pondering putting up some of those more thorough character/story analysis things that I find myself writing.
