Name: Mel, Short for Melody (But sounds more Viking-y)
Age: 17
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Orange, that’s normal in the tribe she comes from
Height: about 1,70m
Weight: Maybe 60kg or so? (I don’t know what is the average )
Gender: female
Species: human
Occupation: She’s in Berk’s guard
Voice: like – average? A bit rough, not too high, you know.
Description: Mel is like fire, she rushes into your life, explosive like a volcano, strong and independent and endearing, but she will also consume you like dry wood and burn you to ashes if you stay near for too long. With endless energy and an urge to fight, she wants to conquer the world (not really, but you know what I mean.) She really doesn’t need a single calm second, and she hates sleeping.
Demeanor: Mel is bursting with energy, and everyone around her can clearly feel that. Introverts are uncomfortable in her company, but she is a great, passionate and dedicated friend if you win her heart – which is easy. Just don’t bore her.
Abilities/Weapons: Mel has a battle axe which was given to her by her father, who got it from his, who got it from his, and so on. Legends say it was forged in the dark and mysterious volcano her village is built on. She trained with axes since she was a child, and she mastered this weapon as well as the single-handed axe, which she doesn’t really like. Oh, and the young Viking would never, ever hold a shield.
Disadvantages: Mel consumes the energy of everyone around her, leaving even extroverts somewhat exhausted. She can’t hold still, be quiet and can’t stand boredom. She is anything but sneaky and doesn’t really care about books or learning, often leaving her clueless about simple things. She is a clever girl; she just doesn’t have the patience to learn.
History: Mel is the daughter of her village’s chief, Stor Roughneck from Vor, and will be the chief one day. But until she can take that position, she still has to lean – and as tradition demands, she has to join a friendly village’s guard. That’s why she is on Berk. Her own island doesn’t have pet dragons, though they don’t fight them either, and when Mel came here, she learnt she would need one. Mel tried to fly on Chestnut, a Gronckle, for a while, but found the dragon didn’t fit her. She wanted a crazy, mean and terrifying dragon to call her own.
[Story of how she got her dragon] When some other guards made an expedition to the far north, she joined them. When they had reached a snowy island, a storm came on, and because Mel wasn’t used to ride on dragons, she fell off and got stuck in a crack in the ice. The wind and cold would have killed her if there wasn’t a mysterious white and blue dragon, probably a Wooly Howl, who sheltered her with his body until they got her leg pulled out. Then, the dragon carried her to a small wind-proof cave, where they stayed until the storm was over. Of course, as soon as she didn’t shiver any more, Mel made her way to the entrance to watch the storm, and the dragon pulled her back. She gave him one of her broad smiles. “Thanks for the rescue from the ice.”, she said, petting the dragons head. He looked furry over there, but as Mel noted, those “flicks of fur” were actually cold and very sharp scales! “Like ice…”, she whispered, and looked at them interested. The dragon huffed and turned around to go back into the cave, but she followed him, half running, half jumping. “You are a mighty dragon!”, she realized with joy, “you are strong and sturdy!” The dragon grunned sourly. “Woah, you are like the ultimate battle dragon! The sole number one! Can you fight? Can you?” The dragon put his head under his forelegs and signaled he wanted to sleep, or at least hear no more. Of course, Mel didn’t register that at all. “Mighty Thor, you’re like Ice or anything – I know! The perfect name, sounds like Ice but also victory! Wanna hear it? Sure you want. I name you Ace!” She grinned broadly and Ace huffed. Mel sat down beside him, leant against his back and looked outside. “We would be so perfect together, don’t you think? Like ice and fire. I could ride you into battle, we would overcome mighty beasts and terrific clans… We would burn them, each and every. What do you think?” The dragon didn’t make any noise. Mel shrugged. “Anyway. What do we do when the storm is over? We could seek my group, we could fly to Berk and make you a saddle. What about gronckle iron and dragon leather? We could fly home to our Volcano island, in the warm southern areas. Puissant, our Smith, could make you the most sturdy and vigorous armour on the whole world. He still goes to the volcano to heat his metals there, and everyone knows the Volcano has magical powers. He even puts shiny and powerful crystals into it if I ask him very friendly, like he did with my skirt. Do you like it? I do.” She just didn’t stop talking. That went on for ages, and Mel always found something she could blab about.
When the storm was over, Ace brought the young viking where he found her. To his surprise, she didn’t think of jumping from his back. “Hey, we should look for my group. They were on their way to the north, I believe. Over there.” She pointed to the sky, in the direction of a mountain chain. With a roll of his eyes, Ace flew into that direction.
Long story, short sense: It was probably Mels intransigence and Ace’s calm indulgence that caused their friendship, but during a two-days-trip through the snowy mountains, all alone, they learnt to appreciate the others company. Ace, first overwhelmed by her sheer extroversion and talkativeness after years of solitude, found satisfaction in listening to her voice and joy in watching her trying to grab a fish out of the ice cold water. Mel still thought of them as a mighty and awesome team, flying around blowing villages up and fighting against other clans. When they finally found their team (which was seeking for Mel as well), Ace decided to give in and stay with her. He had his years of silence, maybe it was time to see new things and find new ideas.
Today, they love to fly around Berk together, Mel finds pleasure in fighting agains wild dragons that encounter the island or attacking tribes, and Ace loves to have some silent flights above the island when the sun sets as well as wild rides with foam in his face and Mels cries of joy when he dives down and makes the boldest stunts.
Stuff: It is maybe interesting to note that, as they found out back on Berk, Ace isn’t a Wooly Howl but a crossbreed between a Wooly Howl and a Night Fury (which looks absolutely possible in my eyes; I mean, they are very similar in their bodies. Like horses and donkeys. I don’t know whether Ace can have kids, but I don’t really think about that, since it really isn’t important for the story.)

Alright, let’s have a short look on Ace.
Name: Ace
Gender: Male
Age: Maybe like 21? Or even older.
Species: Arctic Fury (dragon)
Size: Slightly larger than a Night Fury and not as slender, more muscular
Look: Like a Wooly Howl, but with slightly larger wings and a Night Fury’s tailfin. Those long scales are on head, neck, back, and the sides of his legs, which are blue (While the rest of his body is white). The inner membranes of his wings appear to be light blue. Picture: s27.postimg.org/w6pxw0d9f/Ace.png ( Used the reference picture of Toothless in the snow; that's why you think you've already seen this I haven't drawn dragons in ages, so I needed to have a reference to look on. I changed the wings and everything, but I don't want to look like I was stealing.)
Personality: Calm and reserved, but passionate if he found a friend. Thoughful, sometimes overthinking. He is very intelligent, often seeing the danger Mel is running in and dragging her out before she can hurt herself. He’s very protective about her, but he mostly protects her from herself.
Abilities: Night Fury’s Plasma blast, endures colds, flies well, but not quite as fast as a night Fury, very strong
Weaknesses: An overthinker, not very fast at reacting, not the fastest flyer, rather stays out of danger then encountering it, unless Mel makes him to.
I hope that’s okay this way, I wasn’t sure about the requirements on this forum. I tried to not make them op but also not boring. *shrugs*
