Name: Tempest
Age: Juvenile
Hair: Six scaley ear-like protusions on the back of the skull, like all pure-breed Night Furies.
Eyes: Green-ish yellow reptilian eyes
Height: Roughly 6 feet off the ground, about average for a Night Fury
Weight: 350lbs, average and fit for her race.
Gender: Female
Species: Night Fury
Occupation: As a dragon, she helps out around Berk where she can, but she refuses to go far from her rider.
Voice: Reptillian and light, her voice is lighter than usual for her race, but to the untrained ear it sounds about normal.
Description: Tempest is a medium-sized Night Fury, with a sleek, dark body that's dark enough to almost be seen as black. Shiny black scales make up a pattern close to a manta-ray along her hide, giving her a very sleek look. Like the rest of her species, Tempest has long wings, roughly fourty-eight feet, allowing for unrivaled speed and maneuvering skills.
Demeanor: Very caring and protective of her rider, she's a very mother-like figure. Tempest refuses to let her rider out of her sight, and is overly protective of her, very quick to growl at anything she doesn't approve of at first. Though she's so protective, she's also very intelligent like the rest of her species, and can quickly come to the logical conclusion of wether she should be worried or not. Like her rider, she has a comedic side to her, though more along the line of silly practical jokes, such as pulling people's chairs out from under them with her tail. She's a lot more social then her rider is, happy to play with people she learns to trust, and very chatty in most situations.
Abilities/Weapons: Tempest is very proficient at dive bombing with her rider still on top of her, making them capable of delivering a devistating plasma shot at concussive speeds, along with a maximum of three arrows at once. As a Night Fury, her speed and agility are unrivaled by all except her own race, making her perfect for the speed-based ranger that rides her.
Disadvantages: Though Tempest's race has a large ammount of stamina, she has a tendancy to burn like a candle in an oxygen box; twice as fast and half as long. She pushes herself to the limits, going as fast as she possibly can in combat, with as big and devistating of fireballs as she can produce. This is perfect for small battles that can be finished quickly, but when it comes to large battles where stamina determines the winner, Tempest is outmatched, and must rely on her rider to pick up the slack.
History: Tempest was born on the mainland, away from the influences of the enslaving Queen. She was always reclusive, staying away from humanity as much as possibly, but always watching and learning as she curious reptile she is. She was content to live in her den in the gorge not far from her rider's village, simply living her life day by day. When a human fell into her gorge one day, she couldn't help but investigate, and what she found shocked her. She actually felt empathy for the poor, broken female, and was surprised by this revelation. Tempest was quick to learn all she could about the human, helping her to recover and hunt until she was well enough on her own. What she learned was that they weren't too different, they both had a mentality that allowed them to connect well. She couldn't help but become attatched to the human, becoming very protective and almost posessive of her, enjoying the forbidden friendship that they shared. More curious then their friendship was that the human seemed to almost understand what Tempest was saying, which made interactions between them very easy, since the high intelligence of her species made learning English very easy. When her human returned one day, in a rush to leave, she was more than eager to leave with her human, curious to see what adventures they could get into.
Stuff: Tempest has successfully learnt English, capable of understanding the human language. Though she can't speak, she communicates well enough in her own reptillian way, with body language, chortles and other animalistic sounds.
