So until then, all we can do is speculate. But...there's plenty to speculate about since we know a little more about this episode than any of the others. Hmm...maybe. I'm thinking she may be one of Alvin' men's daughter, or even Alvin's daughter. Just speculating though. Ugh, now that we're waiting for it, when will it come on? Cuz I looked on the CN website and there are no known episodes after November 4th. But on November 7th (wednesday) at 5 and 8 there are a couple of episodes. November 9th (friday) at 8, episode. November 10th at 11 and 11:30am, episodes...maybe its november 7th...idk though

Would a better title for this be S01E10?
Either way, I'm looking forward to this. Missing it last week was HARD.

As much as I usually hate the love triangle in shows, I'm actually really interested to see how this goes. Usually the love triangles either involve people with relatively normal lives at least in regard to relationships. At worst, the person was a wallflower, but rarely does it go beyond anything like that. Basically, most love triangles are just annoying reasons to have shipper wars and even then it's too easy to tell who would win them anyway.
But even though we know Astrid is going to win, I actually want to see how this plays out with Hiccup's mind as a character. For a middle in a love triangle, Hiccup is, if not unique, a very rare type. He's not just a wallflower who got bullied, he's someone who got rejected by literally almost everyone he's ever known. Who he could ever know. (I'm pretty sure he would have snapped if Gobber wasn't around.) Especially for someone of Hiccup's nature, it must have been hellish. He really cares about what the others think and he's rather forgiving to boot, if not so forgiving of himself.
By all rights, he's starved for affection. It's why he spent so much time with a dragon. It's probably why he continued letting himself gain popularity in the Kill Ring. Even if it was fake, I doubt he didn't enjoy some of his popularity a little. He just enjoyed Toothless' genuine affection more.
And while I DO like Hiccstrid, I don't honestly see the groundwork that says this relationship will last forever. At least, not on a romantic level. I DO see them forever being friends and Astrid always being important, but it is possible to have a strong relationship without it being romantic. Like Toothless and Hiccup. And honestly Toothless and Hiccup is the stronger relationship, so kind of proves as much affection he has for Astrid, there is no guarantee he would stay with her.
What it comes down to is timing and Hiccup's crush. Astrid is the poster child for a viking, what Hiccup wanted to be. Astrid is also pretty. So it's no surprise that Hiccup got a crush on her. He was everything he wanted for himself, in a pretty package. Still, she wouldn't give him the time of day either, until later on, and that's where timing comes in. Hiccup still didn't have anyone have genuine affection for all of HIM save for Toothless. Even Gobber didn't know everything there was to know about Hiccup by this point.
Then Astrid accepted him, accepted what he did, and actually expressed her affection in a viking relative positive way. The girl he had a crush on was the first of his village to know about the thing that could get him banished...and kissed him instead.
What does that do to an affection starved boy?
Of course there is more than that to their relationship, mostly in Astrid dragging Hiccup back to the vikings when he feels he can't go to them, but in terms of any sort of romantic relationship? These are the facts that push it that way. The crush and being the first girl to show real affection for him. The rest is just good for good friendship and it would be if Astrid had been a boy.
In essence, Astrid has had no REAL COMPETITION for Hiccup. (I'm pretty sure Ruffnut would scare him a bit too much because...Ruffnut. Plus she might be too stupid for him to hold interest that long.) And as far as we know, no other girl has even attempted to gain his affection. After the events of the movie, Astrid doesn't really need to put in any effort to keep Hiccup. She's ultimately too important to him for what she has done for him and with no one else trying to go romantic with him, it's easy for any romantic feelings to default to her because of that importance and his previous crush.
So as is, the romance can last. Given outside stress, it'd probably last because their FRIENDSHIP could last such things. But interpersonal strife? They have no ground work to truly last through that.
And that's why I'm excited to see Heather and what it can do for them. The relationship isn't just stronger because he chooses Astrid. It'll be stronger because he chooses Astrid DESPITE all of his own problems. And despite all the times Astrid was cold to him before Toothless. Someone new who accepts him for him, who never rejected him, who shows an actual interest in him. Essentially giving Hiccup a real option for a type of affection. Something he's never had before.
I'm almost hoping that the evil comment was done more in jest, that Heather is more along that girl whose a jerk to her competition, but is ultimately not THAT terrible of a person in of themselves. Because I want Hiccup to have this option be legitimate. And unless Heather is a damn good actor, I think she will be, since she is supposed to be competition. That means Hiccup has to actually like her and have a chance with her. I want to see how affection starved boy reacts to this and I want to see how much Astrid is willing to fight for his affection.
Heck, if Heather is 'evil,' then maybe Hiccup is the one to pull her to the side of good, something to compete with all the stuff he went through with Astrid in the movie.
And really, just with the fact of Hiccup's own personal history, I think this idea could be done to do really fun things with the characters. This could be beyond just trite romance drama and actually show the psychological growth of all characters involved.

Yup that a good theory
And i hope Heather is not that EVIL i mean it would be good in the end if she join the good side

And I've been thinking, what if they do a backstory about Valhallarama and her relationship with Hiccup...that's just my idea...it would be a cool episode...am I horrible or what? Anyway, I can't believe Anna-Maria Perez de Tagle may be voicing Heather! Her acting is so good...on Camp Rock...Hannah Montana...that's all I know...

Oooo, did she really? *Loves Danny Phantom, and Dani's character.*
Though it would be cool to hear more about Valhallarma. Maybe the Heather episode can bring that out. I remember hearing something about Hiccup maybe knowing who Heather was before hand? Maybe Valhallarma was from another village, wherever Heather's from? A connection to his mom would be a quick way for her to get Hiccup's attention and for Hiccup to want to be around her, to learn more.

That was a great theory to read.
Personally... I just hope she's a 3 dimensional character. I have amazingly low expectations for kids shows with the ones I have seen in the past.
