Hi everyone! Okay, so first, here is the video. I'm still not sure yet where it's from, but it's a good possibility that it's HTHYD. Astrid's voice is clearly not like the one in either HTTYD or Boneknapper (though, in this she isn't really talking a whole lot in the latter). As you can probably tell by looking at the post above, I am the truly the master of paraphrasing. ;D vimeo.com/27481930Also, I'm not sure if anyone thought about this before, but it appears that there might be more than one egg featured in the special. Apparently there are "surprises in store" for several eggs.

Hmmm... Astrid's voice DOES sound different. A bit deeper infact. What if this is just a DELTED scene from the other short or the movie? Also, what does Astrid say again?

It could only really be from Boneknapper. Hiccup and Astrid aren't a "we" in HTTYD and they definitely don't have training tricks. But I'm not sure where this scene would fit in Boneknapper. They wouldn't have discovered the hidden talents Boneknapper yet (if it ever had any). Unless they're talking about dragon talents in general, which is a possibility.

Well, what Gobber's says in the end can probably prove that it's from the boneknapper. Also the small flying scene at the end. This could've probably be while they were organizing the trip to the island or something.

Oh, I probably should have explained this but these are two separate clips that, although they may be from the same story, were definitely taken from different parts of it. Actually, there was another clip after Flying that was from Shrek or something (I cut this out). So there's a good chance it's from Boneknapper, but it might also be something else entirely.

Hmmm... Who knows. But IDK why they put the small boneknapper clip at the end.

The clip is a demo reel for one of the animators who contributed to these scenes. I've been researching these and they seem to be ordered either reverse-chronologically or randomly. So that leaves open the possibility that the clip is HTHYD since it happened before Boneknapper. And I cut it to leave the Boneknapper clip in (because anything HTTYD is awesome). I could have just left it out. But I'm not sure. I wouldn't be surprised if this is Boneknapper instead.

Tool I hope this was boneknapper, in it's early days of developement XD. Cuz if this is HTHYD, than it's gonna suck with Astrid's different voice XD.

I know, I am not a fan of this voice. Someone suggested to me that the should have used the voice from the video game, and I agree. That would be better. But there may still be hope: it's not entirely impossible that it's the original voice.

;D But anyway, I have good-ish news. The clip I found was not actually from HTHYD. It wasn't from Boneknapper either. It is a promotional video for Walmart. I'm not sure what they're intending to do with it because I don't think the video been released yet, but Astrid's unusual voice makes more sense in this context. Also the relatively horrible script.
Anyway, sorry about all that confusion. Ther person I got/stole this from also worked on Hatch, so I jumped to conclusions.
But what I said about there being multiple eggs is still completely true.
