So, your opinions?
What exactly IS that dragon nip? Is the effect adorable or what?
Why do the dragons hate smoked eel? Is it something they hate to eat or could it be poisonous to them?
Any other tidbits you've noticed about dragons and how they act and what affects them you want to talk about?

Eels could be poisonous to them... but otherwise I think it's because they taste weird and have an extremely terrible aftertaste. I should know, I've had eel before.
What do people mean when they say dragon nip? Is it that field of wheat or whatever it was? (I always thought cat nip was like a treat or something... hence my confusion)
Why do all the dragons live together? I know they were serving the Uber Monster Dragon, but you'd think otherwise they'd live in different habitats.

With the 'living together,' it might be like how different species of dolphins travel together sometimes.
What was up with the Red Death anyway? In the movie, she was described as the 'queen bee,' but that just doesn't jive with me. She seemed more like a parasite than a hive leader. Anyone else get that vibe?
And dragon nip = love. ^^ On a similar note, how is it that one touch on the neck causes the dragons to pass out in ecstasy?

My thoughts on some of these:
Eels- Personally, I think they may be poisounous to dragons. Their reaction to it was rather drastic for something that just tastes bad. (and personally, I like eel, but that's just me)
Dragon nip- the chapter book and the I Can Read! books called that tall green grass Toothless crashed into and started rolling around in dragon nip. I have NO idea what it really is though. It looks to have the same effect as cat nip, making them act rather... high and happy. XD
Living together- Maybe the dragons are kind of... pack animals? Except for the Night Furies? I don't really know why, I guess they based it off certain reptiles, like snake, that live in large groups sometimes.
Red Death- I got that vibe too. Maybe the Red Death was at one point a kind of protector for the dragons but over time forced them to do everything for her... or she'd eat them.
Magic touch- XD My dog has a tendency to fal over if I scratch him JUST RIGHT behind his ear. Since the dragons are based slightly on cats and dogs to make them seem more animal like and real, they probably put this trait in.

My thoughts:
Smoked Eel: I didn't think it was that it was SMOKED, but...Well, I did wonder if it was poisonous. I mean, black and bright yellow stripes looks kinda...iffy. That and the very bright colors--like those bright jungle frogs. So yeah, I'm agreeing with Bane. (Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I SWEAR there's some poisonous creature with that coloring...)
Dragon Nip: Agreeing with the majority. XD I kinda knew it was something like that from the start, since Toothless's rolling looked EXACTLY like my cat when she found our garden catnip.
Living Together: Well, seeing they're different species...I kinda thought they stuck to their own kind, but still lived CLOSE to one another. Eh.
Red Death: I got confused here as well, but the best conclusion I could come to was...That it was kinda like a weird cross between a queen bee (everyone feed the queen to make more of us!) and some animals that eat their young. My immediate thought was that it was like, some ultimate source of dragons that somehow turned into an 'abusive parent." But that makes no sense, so...=/ Wish they'd told us more about it. Hey, maybe it's just the "Alpha Fe/Male."

^ With the dragon queen, I also noticed how she kind of looked like a Zippleback. Then I thought she looked like a Gronckle. Maybe all the dragon variations are descended from Deaths?
As for the eel thing, the eel being poisonous to dragons sounds plausible.
And like I hinted at with the Red Death in my earlier post, I think she was a parasite, plain and simple. She found her way into the volcano as a hatchling and started eating the other dragons. The other dragons did not enjoy this, so they started feeding her. So the Red Death simply accepted it, snacking on the peasants who failed or got in her way.
...I can't think of any other dragon tidbits I'd like to ask about at the moment. xD Oh, well. After I see it again this weekend, I'll have some new stuff to ask, I'm sure. I love pondering movie logic.

Hmm... Eel is well, ick! I think its funny how it works!
Living together! Woo a pack, kind of like cats, they all run around together even thou they don't like themselves, and it makes it more cute
The tall grass is a way to show them as a pet like form, like cats to cat nip, or dogs just rolling around in water or mud.
Ehh, thats how I see it

Well, with the striped eel, it looked pretty insanely poisonous with the black and yellow bands. But Hiccup had it hidden under his clothing and was able to scare the Zippleback back into it's cell with it. It looked so scared It was kinda sad, it was like the only dragon Hic didn't use some sort of "nice" way to deal with, like dragon nip or scratching under the chin.

Well, Hiccup didn't really have any other ways to 'tame' the dragons - he hadn't spent enough time with Toothless to use any other techniques.. I actually thought it was funny, all the stuff he was saying. "Don't make me yell at you again!" or whatever it was... just... was... I don't even know...

Although I can't say for the other dragons, and it's obvious that Night Furies act the most cat/doglike, Deadly Nadders struck me as being very birdlike. The way they moved and acted and such.

The Nightmare kind of reminded me of an alligator. Mainly because of the head, but also because of the way its wings were spread out like gator legs. And in the Nightmare-training scenes, it showed that the Nightmares are actually fairly laid-back...until you tick them off.
Gronckles are big ol' bulldogs. Nuff said. xD
And I read somewhere (forget where) that dragonip = garlic grass. Forget where I read that, though...

Lol... Garlic grass.
So that means all the dragons would have relatively bad breath?

Don't think so, they don't eat it as far as I know.

Yes, I was thinking that, too.
It's good to know Edward Cullen and his posse of shinies won't be visiting Berk any time soon.
