Toothless11: How much time do you go to fly with Toothless? On your flight from yesterday you took aprox 4 hours.

Hiccup: i guess it just depends on the night, weather, and overall condition of us both. Some vikings ride all day...then you got the less frequent fliers or some that dont fly at all (they just keep them as pets and let them fly at their own free will, and of course you have vikings like me who takes their dragon out in the middle of the night for a joyride which could last up to a few hours to ... well 4. It all depends on how much excersise it needs and how much you love to fly. After a good run (usually i take Toothless out for a total 10 hours of flight a day including night riding, but then again we both like it, and its helping with our Physical Therapy, as goofy and wierd as that sounds.

Toothless11: No it doesn't sound so weird, I wonder, when you get sick what happens when Toothless wants to go for a flight?

Hiccup: When i get sick usually i have lots of visitors that come and help out. I dont know what i'd do without Astrid, and the gang. I took the time at the blacksmith shop to build each a saddle that fits Toothless. Although originally there was MY saddle...well lets just say one size and shape doesnt fit all.. so i had to make other saddles. Around here, everyone now is pretty much everyones neighbor.. I return the favor by doing the same for their dragons, so on and so forth.

Hiccup: EHHH...about that.. Blacksmith/inventor yeah... You see, not every dragon is like toothless where i can just take off.. sometimes it takes a few hours to gain their trust. Roughnut and Toughnut learned that one the hard way with toothless... a resident on Berk (wont mention her name, i dont know if she wants me to give out that kind of information) has a zippleback that for some reason just doesnt like me flying him! that happens sometimes when a dragon is so attached to their owner, they sometimes dont WANT others to fly them and heh if your planning on getting a zippleback, PLEASE...get another rider with you.. since it has two heads, its going to get confused.. you'll need two heads of your species to synchronize their thought pattern in flight.

Toothless11: How does Toothless react when somone else wants to fly him?

Hiccup: As far as Toothless goes, i make sure that he knows the rider before i saddle him up with them. Usually Astrid takes him out to fly when i cant, since she's known him the longest out of all the vikings here. He's pretty good with her but.. if he doesnt know the person he tries desperately to get them off his back.... which i guess makes sense. Just recently, i've re- opened the battle arena (which closed the day vikings realized dragons were harmless creatures) well--uh actually now its called Flight Training i believe..people take their dragons down there to socialize and get to know some of the village members for said reason.. I sometimes take Toothless to the arena just to meet other people and for him to make more dragon friends. Im planning on making the arena bigger, so we can have more flight experience with the trainers/riders and their dragons. A lot of first timers come to experience their first flight there too.

Toothless11: Well that's a great idea, to socialize with dragons. What other changes have gone on Berk? I might have to leave right now so I'll get your answer later.

Hiccup: well, i sat down and drew out some blueprints of what i call a "dragon House" When Vikings have to set sail across the sea, and cant take their dragons with them, they can set them up in the Dragon House where they will be taken care of while they are away. At least thats one of the changes that may work out here in Berk. You know, to find more information about your question, let me take a stroll in town, and ask a few vikings! i bet they'd find it exciting more of the outside world wanting to know about the changes here! i bet toothless will appeciate the walk too!
I apologize for the uh.. long.. post.. im going to make here so, here goes: I took a trip into the village on Toothless's back like i said i would.. LOT of new things are going on, but they all seem to revolve around the dragons. One viking was talking about there being a breeding program, another said they plan to use dragons as E.C.'s (or.. extreme cases relating to to the disabled), Training programs.. and Not to mention as soon as i stepped outside i saw dragons pulling a few buggys. I thought this was interesting, a viking told me about a program especially for Monstrous Nightmares, as guards to keep the village safe.. kind of like when intruders come, or something is wrong they teach them to ignite themselves on cue as a sort of signal. This one lady i bumped into (eh, quite literally) told me that her 4 Terrible Terrors were helping her watch over her kids, sort of like being a nanny i suppose. I thought this was pretty neat, next door to us, the neighbors own two Gronckles and built an attachment to their HOUSE just for them. I got to see inside today and it was AWESOME!!! you know i think that could catch on here..Now its got me thinking i should build one for Toothless since he took to it pretty well. At least he made a brand new friend! the other Gronckle is new. uhh..well that was interesting as far as village trips go.. a lot of people wanted to give you presents and.. ham.. one person i walked up to offered to give you some Yak Stew...Well.. at least we're friendly. They all kept saying "any friend of Hiccups is a friend of ours". i guess thats cool, although now rumor might spread that your a new viking around here..*shrugs* sorry..

Toothless11: Wow, that's a lot of changes! Berk sure is a friendly place now. I'm surprised that I don't even exist there and I'm already being considered as a friend.

Hiccup: of course! i hope you dont mind, we had to keep the ham and other foods.. The mother with the 4 Terrible Terrors wanted to knit you a Berkenise sweater from her lambs since she has to make winter coats for her kids soon because the frost is starting to set in.. i told her i dont know if one of our mail dragons could make it to wherever you are, so she just wanted me to give you a warm "hello" speaking of which.. usually means shorter flights for Toothless and i, sadly.
