Whooo, a Bum review! Though...I'm not sure what to make of the final opinion. Doesn't seem to say if he thought it was good or bad.
CHANGE! YA GOT CHANGE?!

OMG, I was waiting for the Bum review of HTTYD! "It's like Braveheart, only not directed by a sadist." ^^

I'd say this is a "thumbs up". He sounded like he enjoyed it. And as for the thing at the end for Avatar? He hated Avatar. So him saying it's like Avatar but intentionally funny is like him saying this:
Pretty graphics + Funny story = Pretty funny movie.

Win. I freaking love Doug and Rob Walker's work...
The exchanges between Hiccup and his dad cracked me up. Especially how the "NOOOOO" cut off so abruptly...
Well, the Bum didn't really make fun of the movie all that much (unlike how he did with movies that are horrible), so I think he liked it... not really sure though.

I'm assuming from the comment of "I'm so confused yet so enthralled" that he did enjoy it, and the final note was his way of saying, "It had great visuals, but was written by people that knew what they were doing."
Assuming, anyway. I never saw the review for Avatar because I do plan to rent that some day.

Mokyn, my original post was a throw back to thew Avatar review:
"Pretty visuals + Stupid story= Pretty stupid movie". He did love the visuals but he didn't find it fun to watch. It looks like he had fun watching HTTYD and thought the writers did a great job, but he points out the confusion that younger audiences would have. Such as the gas igniting inside the dragons, that is easy for a younger viewer to miss or forget.
