Ruff and tuff is very funny twins.
I can not choose one of two. I think that these two, if they quarrel a little less, could be the best couple warrior.
But in all honesty I prefer them as they are.
As to their design are similar so it soon becomes clear why the nature of twins.

I got the opinion of a pair of twins that bicker and fight almost as much as Ruff and Tuff. The girl twin says, in her opinion, the closer you are the more you fight, or at least that's how it is for her and her brother. In my eyes, if something was to happen to one of the twins, the other twin would most likely show love and care, but until that happens, sibling bickering it is.

Sorry, got the opinion of an actual twin on the subject, and decided to voice my opinion.

Do we know which one was born first?
I have a feeling Ruffnut was, just cuz the way Tuffnut acts. He seems like the annoying little brother...even if it is by a few minutes.

So...do we have proof saying who's the oldest by a few moments or no?
If not, who do you think was born first?

I would think that Ruff was born first, she acts like an older sister to me, and like you said Tuff acts like a younger brother.

But if Tuff was older that would lead to some rather funny situations, like him being overprotective of Ruff when boys show interest in her.

Where do you think Tuffnut's birthmark was?
We never saw it, what it looked like and where it was. It must have been something epic if Fishlegs thought it was a tatoo.

It could'nt have been anyplace naughty cuz Ruffnut did'nt seem to phased, same for the guys.
But im all curious about that part cuz it kinda came and went with little to no explination.

And I think it WAS a tattoo.

I always thought it was on his side or maybe his hip, like JUST below the belt line. He did say "you've just never seem me from the left side before". It HAD to have been a tattoo, most twins seem to always know what kinds of birthmarks their other half has. XD

I have a birthmark on the side of my bum, maybe his "birthmark" is there too.

After Hiccup, Ruff and Tuff are among my top favorites! They didn't get much screentime, but I thought that they were really funny. Seeing them fight was funny, especially the whole shield scene.

I also picture Ruff as being older.
