This is a really popular thread on another forum I'm on, so I thought I'd ask the same thing about this movie here. So, how many times have you seen HTTYD? And did you see it in 2D, 3D or IMAX 3D? (or at home ) I have only seen it once in IMAX 3D at this moment, but I do plan to see it again next week, hopefully with family this time. (My friends aren't interested.) I really recommend the 3D version of it. Actually after seeing Avatar, Alice in Wonderland and How to Train Your Dragon I don't think I'll ever go to a 2D movie anymore. And if you can, go see it in IMAX! I had to travel almost 2 hours by train to get to the nearest IMAX theatre, but it was totally worth it!

I've gone twice, first time in 3D with my mom, second time in 2D with my best friend. Both times were impressive...and both times, when that flaming Nightmare jumped at the screen, I freaked out. xD

I saw it on the 3rd, and I'm going to see it again. Both are 3D. And I agree with Toothless. I will never be able watch a movie that has the option of 3D in 2D. Ever.

I've seen it twice in 2D and plan to go see it in 3D this weekend. The only thing that's been stopping me from 3D is my glasses. 3D glasses over regular is very awkward feeling unconfortable.

What's the difference between an IMAX theater and a regular one?
And I've seen it twice, both in 3D <3 I'd go see it again but I'm broke xD

What's the difference between an IMAX theater and a regular one? And I've seen it twice, both in 3D <3 I'd go see it again but I'm broke xD -Bigger screen, slightly curved, better quality, closer to audience -Very powerful projectors with better resolution -Powerful speakers which are custom designed for that theatre. I think those are the main differences.

Only once unfortunately D: Since my mom won't let me see it again, lol. But if I could, I'd watch it as many times as I could xD

Tomorrow is my third time, first with a friend. Unfortunately, all three times are in 2D, since there's no 3D theaters in my hometown. And the nearest city that DOES have a 3D theater is a ferry ride and drive away, and then there's the matter of FINDING the theater...
Ah, but it's cool. I bet the DVD has a 3D option.

About seeing 3D at home: this summer there will be many 3D TV's on the market. Without a 3D TV, you can't watch 3D properly (or you would have to work with the old blue-and-red glasses, but that would ruin the colors of the movie. The downside is that 3D TV's will be VERY expensive. 3D TV's WILL get cheaper and replace most tv's, but the experts think it won't happen before 2012. Also, 3D is most likely only a feature on the Bluray disc, so you would also have to buy a Bluray player/ PS3.

I saw it once without 3D, loved it, and went to see it in 3D (which resulted in me loving it more). I've always watched it multiple times on my computer, because Bane totally did not send me a copy of the movie, or anything.

Saw it twice. Saw it regular the first time and 3D just yesterday. The 3D was amazing. I flinched when Stoik threw the pointed spear at the Red Death.
