The dragon movie that started it all! Well, no, not really, there were dragon myths and legends and all that before DragonHeart...but when you think about dragon movies, isn't that what first pops to mind?

Oh I LOVED that movie growing up! The ending always made me cry! I gotta admit I loved the sequel too.

I grew up with the sequel more than the original (overprotective parents who thought PG-13 ratings and higher were the devil's mark, you know how it is, lol), but yeah, I loved the both of them.
I mean...Sean Connery as a dragon. Doesn't get more epic than that!

*FLAIL* I LOVE THIS MOVIE.
Ah, Sean Connery voicing the sexiest dragon ever. <3 I mean, it was such a corny film, looking back on it. And the graphics weren't exactly... um... top of the line? XD But it was so sweet and heartfelt. I always cry at the end.

As bad as the movie is (admit it, you KNOW this is not one of the best movies around) IT IS STILL AWESOME I grew up watching this! And seriously? Connery had a part in my little dragon fetish (not THAT way DX). If I had to list my favorite dragon related things, this would go at #2 right after HTTYD.

I first saw the movie when I was really young, so of course I bawled at the end.
But then I got the movie again for my birthday and I watched it over and over and over until I could reinact almost every single line.
I think the plot is pretty good, with just enough cheesiness mixed in to be really good. And Connery couldn't have done a better job with Draco's voice. Definantly one of my favorite movies ever.
But the sequel was terrible! The acting was cheesy and the graphics were awful. It was more like one of those cheap, low-budget SciFi movies that play late at night.

Ironically, I first saw the sequel on Sci Fi channel. xD FUN FACT...Drake (the dragon in the sequel) was voiced by the guy who voiced the Beast (I forget the actor's name). I read the DragonHeart novel a couple years back, and it was pretty good.

I can't remember if I ever saw this when I was kid, but I think I did. Lots of people have brought it up recently though and said they liked it, so I guess I should go looking for it. I like cheesy movies with a fun story, so maybe I'll like Dragonheart too.

Ah, Dragonheart. I remember watching that movie when I was a kid; seeing it's name sparks some fond memories. While it wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, it was certainly excellent and the plot was almost magical. (For it's time, those special effects and graphic effects used to create Draco were revolutionary) I've never seen the sequel, though, but I plan to.

I loved the first one, but I really couldn't A New Beginning. It just bothered me. The funding was lower on that than the first one, and the special effects and acting were less than spectacular... but DRACO, my LORD what an amazing dragon. And is was a severe breakthrough, the special effects were really good for it's time. LOOOOVE.

That movie was beautiful. Even as a kid I had to appreciate each character, the amazing graphics and detail and the 'tug on your heartstrings' story. So incredible.

It's been a long time ago since I've seen the Dragonheart movies, so I don't remember much about them, but I think I enjoyed them. I'll have to watch them again sometime to refresh my memory of them.
