(first, sorry for the bad name, I couldn't think of a good one for the life of me. and second, if you want to join, post in the planning thread I made.)An RP between me, night fury100, ForgottenExistance, and Unitedmoviemaker.
It was a nice sunny day on Berk. People were going about their normal business, all but one. At the edge of the village, near a cliff, only one person and one dragon sat by doing nothing. Jorgen Solid-Stone and his skrill, Shockstorm. Everyone knew why the two of them weren't doing anything though, all of Berk knew that Jorgen was going on another one of his long trips to see the world. But this time was different. ---------------------------- Jorgen waited patiently with Shockstorm, waiting to see who would come. He was used to taking these long trips with Shockstorm, but this trip made him nervous because for the first time, Jorgen agreed to bring others with him. Part of him was excited at the prospect of having some company, but he also knew he would be held responsible if anything bad happened. He figured his chances of a flawless trip were almost nonexistant.
Shockstorm sparked, quite literally, with impatience. Jorgen knew he wanted to go and didn't like the wait. "Don't worry. We only need to wait 'till the sun begins it's descent. After that, we can leave." Jorgen said to Shockstorm. He looked back towards the village and continued to wait, thinking about all the ways this trip could go wrong.

(anyone there?)
"Well, Shockstorm, looks like we might be flying solo again."; Jorgen said as he got on Shockstorm. "Lets take a quick flight around the village to make sure we'll be alone first, though. Don't want to leave anyone behind!"
Shockstorm sparked up at the thought of finally starting this trip. Jorgen may not know it, but we might pass my old home, the place I hatched! We'd be on our way if these vikings were more decisive. I could convince Sunfire to come along in the time the Berk vikings are taking! Shockstorm lifted off with Jorgen and looked out over the village,I wonder who will come, if anyone?

Ingrid was standing just outside the village, solitary as usual. Though she had previously agreed to join Jorgen on his little adventure, she was actually hoping that they'd eventually find their way to the mainland. She hadn't been there in a few years, and she missed the place she found her friend, who was currently hanging by her tail upside down from a nearby tree. Tempest was a proud example of a Night Fury, with her beautiful black scales and magnificent wingspan, and she was almost always near her rider. When the human was training, Tempest would usually hang upside down by her tail as she was at that time, just to watch and make sure that nothing happened to her human. Watching curiously with her yellow-ish green orbs, her attention was drawn away as she saw a glimpse of Shockstorm above them. She didn't do anything to draw their attention, for fear of distracting her human, she figured that the other dragon would know where to find them. They weren't exactly hidden.
Ingrid, though she appeared very slender and gentle, with her fair skin and blonde hair, was deadly with her bow. The targets she had set up between trees were at varried distances, but there was no doubt that she'd hit them. Shrugging her shoulders and rolling them so they'd crack a few times, she raised her bow in her left hand and straightened her back with a touch of pride, bringing an arrow from the quiver on her back to the string. Giving a quick test to make sure everything was well, she pulled the arrow back quickly to its full tension, taking her time to enjoy the silent moment before the arrow could fly off. Counting the moments off in her head, she waited until the chilly wind died down slightly before letting her arrow loose; the hawk-feathered arrow soaring the yards between her and one of the targets. With a satisfying thud, the arrow impaled itself into the wooden head of her makeshift target. She kept her bow arm extended until the arrow hit home, then she slowly lowered the bow with a grin and turned her head to look over at her companion, noticing she was no longer looking at her. She turned and curiously followed the Night Fury's gaze, turning her head up to look at her soon-to-be companions on the trip they were to take.

As Shockstorm came around the edge of the village, he caught a glimpse of something black below and circled back around. On their second flight over that spot, Shockstorm recognized what, or rather who, were below. He recognized the Night Fury only from occasionally seeing her around Berk, Tempest. And nearby was Tempest's human, Ingrid, who Shockstorm always got nervous around; mainly because she looked like a group of people from far south that nearly killed him when he was young. Shockstorm sent static up his spiky frill to get Jorgen's attention then signaled with his head towards Ingrid and Tempest.
Jorgen was still thinking of what might happen on this trip when static arced through Shockstorm's frill. Jorgen looked down and saw that they had found one of his volunteer companions, Ingrid, and her Night Fury named Tempest. Jorgen had heard that Ingrid had come from the mainland, just like the spice traders from his early life on the island of Dovangard, so he hadn't been too surprised when she asked to come. He saw Ingrid fire a perfect shot, as she was known for, and saw her look up at him and Shockstorm. "Looks like we found someone, Shockstorm." Jorgen said as they landed near the tree Tempest was hanging in. "Hey Ingrid, you ready yet?"

Tempest dropped from the tree she was hanging in and landed on her four paws, standing up and shaking herself off quickly. The dragon sauntered over to her human and walked around her, taking her spot behind her to the right before sitting down and looking up at the two as they landed, her ear-protrusions perking up like a dog's ears in curiosity. She let out a reptillian murr of greeting to the dragon and rider, giving the closest thing to a smile she could manage with her awkwardly shaped skull.
Ingrid watched the two arrive in silence before nodding once, giving a little grin, "You know me, Jorgen, I'm always ready." She said, her soft voice heavy with her accent. She turned and quickly walked past a confused looking Tempest, striding over to the target in silence over the broken branches. She quickly grabbed the spent arrow and yanked it out of the target with a little bit of a struggle. When it got free, she quickly dropped it back into its quiver in her usual silence. She turned to look back at them before returning to where she had been standing, "Know if anyone else will be accompanying us on this adventure then?" she asked as she slipped the bow over her shoulders, letting it settle in over her white fur mantle.

Jorgen jumped down from Shockstorm and turned to Ingrid. He then pulled a little piece of parchment from one of his belt pouches, a list of everyone who volunteered to come was written on it. "Well, some people have dropped the idea of coming along, but it looks like Kyle is still coming." Jorgen said as he folded the list back up and put it away. "I'll wager he's around the village somewhere. Nice shot as usual, by the way."
Shockstorm watched nervously as Ingrid retrieved her arrow. He still couldn't shake the feeling she was from the group of people that nearly killed him, even her accent was scarily familiar. Shockstorm lost interest when Ingrid and Jorgen started talking, however, and looked over towards Tempest. "I'll never understand why you night furies try to smile like that. You will never see a skrill trying to smile."

Ingrid nodded with a little smile, rolling her shoulders restlessly, "Alright. And thanks, Jorgen," she said, crossing her arms before looking off to the side into the forest. She bounced upwards onto the balls of her feet, bouncing up and down a few times on her toes, "I look forward to heading out. I haven't been able to do much in the way of exploring here on Berk. It's a small island, and with Temp here I've already seen everything there is to see." She complained quietly, more meant for herself then for Jorgen. She had a tendancy to think outloud to herself like that.
Tempest gave a little reptillian laugh at Shockstorm's comment, then sat on her hind legs like a canine. Folding her long wings up against her back, she chortled back, "It's simply a friendly tendancy, my friend. Humans do it, so we do it to make them more...comfortable? They just seem to become happy when we smile, which is good for trust." She said to him, always the tutor. Her long tail flicked behind her in a sign of anxiety, obviously feeling the same about the trip as her rider as she turned her head to look at Jorgen, listening to him curiously.

"Yeah, I know what you mean." Jorgen replied, even though he had a suspicion that Ingrid hadn't been talking to him in particular. "And my home island was even smaller than Berk, so I've always had a tendency to wonder what else is out there." Jorgen climbed into his saddle on Shockstorm, "C'mon, we should go find Kyle so we can get going. I'd like to reach Rest Stop before night fall, the little island I stop at during my long fishing trips." Shockstorm took off with grand display of static. "No need to show off and get competitive, now. We're going on a trip, not competing to see who can take off the best." Jorgen told Shockstorm.
"As I said, I'll never understand you night furies. All Jorgen ever needs is a nice little shock." replied Shockstorm as he sent a bolt of static down his spine. Shockstorm was ready to get going once Jorgen got back in his saddle, and lifted into the air effortlessly on his large wings as static sparked off into the air. Shockstorm took great pride in his species, and he would never waste an opportunity to show off the power of a skrill. When Jorgen said to calm down, Shockstorm sent a bit of static through his frill in a sign of submission.

Ingrid blinked at his comment and turned her head, as if just noticing him for the first time again. She quickly nodded and walked over to Tempest, "Alright, we'll meet you down by the docks. I need to stop at my house to get my traveling sack. Who knows how long we'll be gone, and there are a few things I can't just leave," She said before quickly vaulting herself up onto her own black hide saddle she had fitted for Tempest. She patted Tempest's scaley black hide affectionately as she gave a little smile down at her companion. Sitting upright and grabbined the front of the saddle, Tempest shot up into the sky without needing to be told, rocketing off into the sky before doing an elegant roll and shooting off towards Berk.
Tempest had chortled quietly at Shockstorm's comment, "Well, that's your problem. You're far too proud." she said as her rider had climbed up onto her back. After the pat from the human, she shot off a quick, "See you at the docks!" before she spread her wings and launched herself up into the sky with as much launch speed as she could conjure. She speed off to the lower section of the village near the water's edge, where Ingrid's house was located.

Jorgen and Shockstorm flew towards the village after Ingrid and Tempest. While Ingrid and Tempest went to Ingrid's house near the water line, Jorgen and Shockstorm turned to circle around the village to try and find Kyle. Jorgen didn't have to look very hard, he saw Kyle taking of on his night fury Darkender at the docks. Before Jorgen said anything, Shockstorm veered towards the docks. Apparently Shockstorm saw them too. They flew up to Kyle and Jorgen called out, "There you are, Kyle. Looks like you're ready to go. We'll leave soon, just got to wait for Ingrid to grab a few things!"
Shockstorm was really starting to get impatient. If only we could leave now, I'm sure hunter-girl could catch up! He saw Darkender and Kyle over by the docks and veered that way, knowing Jorgen would tell him too anyway. "Took you long enough!" Shockstorm called out to Darkender and Rouge, "Now we just need to let hunter-girl and Tempest get their things and we can finally leave!"

Kyle toled Darkender to wait so Jorge and Shockstorm could catch up then said "OK then"
Rogue's reply Shockstome was "fishing is about pashens something you don't seem to have a lot of"

Ingrid slipped off of Tempest's back quickly and dusted herself off before patting her companion's hide softly, on her nose, "I'll be right back Temp. Keep an eye out for me." She said before turning and quickly heading into the house. She ran off to her bedroom and opened up a small box of hers, pulling out a single black raven feather. Looking at it for a moment, she slipped it into her ranger's braid, tying it in before she picked up her already-packed traveling bag. Mostly only full of preserved meats and warm clothing, she had also stuffed a few daggers in, and some spare string incase her current one broke during the trip. She gave everything a once-over before nodding to herself once, then quickly jogging outside to rejoin her companion.
The whole time that Ingrid was in the house, Tempest paced anxiously, never comfortable when her human was out of her sight. She kept glancing at the door of the house, a mix of worry and impatience as she waited for the human to come out. When she finally came back out about a minute later, she quickly pranced up to her and murred lowly in her own reptillian way, expressing her happiness that she was back, despite the fact that it hadn't been that long. She quickly lowered herself so her human could climb back onto her.
Ingrid laughed at the sudden affection from her companion, and gave her an affectionate rub on the nose before climbing back onto the saddle and settling in before they launched off into the air, heading over to the docks quickly to meet with both Jorgen and Kyle, along with anyone else who decided they wanted to come.

While Jorgen was waiting, he turned around and checked his two travel bags he had tied onto Shockstorm. Only one was for him, though, the other had food for Shockstorm. Jorgen didn't bother checking his bag, he knew everything he packed was secure, all he had in there was his Book on Dragons, some food and water, a bunch of nadder spines that he's been experimenting with, and his father's helmet. On his person Jorgen had his own ax at his side, next to his nadder spine dagger, his father's shield was strung over his back, as well as various supplies and medicinal herbs he had in his belt pouches, and in a case slung over his shoulder was a map that he got from a travelling cartographer from a place called Rome that showed as far north a Dragon Island and as far south as a place labeled as Germania on the mainland. As Ingrid approached on Tempest, Jorgen called out, "All right then! That should be everyone. You guys all set to head out?"
Shockstorm was eager to get going, it has been so long since the last trip that he and Jorgen went on, about five months ago when they had their little run-in with some celts to the west. Shockstorm ignored Rouge's comment on his impatience, he personally disliked Terrible Terrors. Shockstorm saw hunter-girl and Tempest flying up to them from their home. About time! Shockstorm thought as they approached.
