So seeing as it's Halloween season, it's time to break out the festivities. For many of us, those involved horror movies.
I noticed that we were lacking a horror movie thread. So... here it is.
Talk about anything horror movie related; favorite horror movies, least favorite horror movies, movies you want to see, etc. I am working on a list of my top twenty horror movies, which I will post at the end of October, once I'm done with this year's horror spree.
The last horror movie I watched was The Cabin in the Woods. Part comedy/satire as well, it was still creepy at times. And it was awesome.
So... any other horror movies fans on here?

Well, I could recommend some... What kind of things do you find scary? Would you be interested in the more gory stuff or the more psychological? Would you like slashers, creature movies, ghosts, demons, zombies, etc.?

Okay, and does gore/violence bother you?

Okay, here are some good horror movies:
-The Exorcist- not insanely gory, stilly bloody at times however. The crucifix scene is pretty disturbing though. -Saw- the first one. All of the brutal gory violence is brief and off-screen. -The Shining- Gory moment involving an axe and some pretty graphic nudity at one part, but other than that not so bad. -Paranormal Activity -Insidious -The Ring -Halloween (original) -Poltergeist -The Blair Witch Project
--------
I recently saw The Exorcist and The Descent. Both were incredibly frightening, but very good.

I really like all the movies Shade suggested, but I would also recommend: - the 1963 version of the Haunting- it was made a while ago, is in black and white and has basically no gore. - Session 9- If I remember correctly, there was only mild gore at the end. - 1408- really creepy movie, but there may be mild gore. - Case 39- another amazing psychological thriller.

Oh yes! If forgot about 1408. That was awesome!
I watched a movie called Dead Alive last night. It's a zombie comedy directed by Peter Jackson. It was messed up, but hilarious XD
Fun fact: Dead Alive used around 19,000 liters of fake blood in its production, making it the goriest movie ever made. I can definitely see that. What's worse is that most of it is compacted into the last half hour or so.

Good list from Shade, Allow me to add some more;
-Most disturbing flick I've ever seen; Dead Silence. -Apollo 18 is pretty awesome too. -Silent Hill -Pandorum
Speaking of horror, I just finished Dead Space 1 and 2, feels like victory.

I found out some of my friends are going to see PA4, maybe I should go too? Yeah sure, but you should totally watch 1-3 before you go. Has anyone seen Sinister [2012]? Looks pretty fun.
